Shimo's mental health went down from the abuse by skar king in many years ,that's why she is tamed.
If Shimo is the first Titan, or alpha, then what about those gigantic skeletons that Kong was walking on???
It is possible that thing is in another class. Titans in greek mythology are not the biggest things in there mythology , and the giant may be a primordial being.

To be fair, Titans weren’t giants. They were the same size as other gods.
The alpha alpha titan
Shimo is at least 3 million years old and godzilla mentioned 2-5 million years. Dr. Andrews mentioned the scrirpture said she was the original titan, but also mentioned she was translating in a hurry and it could also mean ultimate titan. Means Shimo is highly likely the ultimate titan.
Also the ice age and Ghidorah frozen are mentioned two seperate events and she can reach absolute zero, stopping atoms in their tracks. They talking from the last ice age not the first, but it's also implied she is responsible for every ice age since 3 million years.

They iwi called her also "world ender". No way Godzilla could defeat her, the only reason Godzilla and Ghidorah were still a life is because she is a nice lady.
EDIT: When Adam Wingard was asked about how Shimo came to be; "Because I wanted a threat that was so big... It was like you needed a threat so big that the two of them would have to unite to take it on. And the fun thing about Shimo is that she really is this kind of weapon of mass destruction. And I wouldn't say she's good or bad. She's kind of a blank slate, and that's what makes her an interesting character as a monster."
Adam Wingard literally said Shimo is a threath so big that Godzilla and Kong have to unite to take on her. Skar King is just the one who commands her to fight both.

Novelization confirms that Shimo was the Alpha before Godzilla. It is likely that Godzilla became the Alpha because Shimo got enslaved by Skar King. Shimo is referred as the ultimate titan.

I think it comes with her age, in her prime she could have been much more aggressive but after so many years of that she probably calmed down and I guess "retired" if you want to look at it that way. That paved the way for skar king to control her

Shimo causing an ice age could have been on the orders of Godzilla, maybe Ghidorah caused a bunch of destruction and the world was on fire and heating up, and therefore Godzilla may have ordered her to cool the planet to make sure that the planet wasn’t destroyed, or like imagine a volcano erupts enough to destroy the ozone layer and causes the planet to heat up enough, therefore Shimo cools the planet to make it habitable and save it from being scorched

Well we’ve learned that shimo is actually a benevolent and gentle titan dedicated to keeping the natural order and was forced to cause ice ages by skar king and she is younger then Godzilla

I think an important factor to remember here is that it is possible for Shimo to be weaker during ancient times and Godzilla while knowing of her power from the past prepared himself to face modern day Shimo.

Also, Godzilla isn’t a one monster show. He typically has help from Mothra when the world in danger. If he challenged Shimo, it was likely with Mothras help
From what I understand, Shimo fought Godzilla in the past because of Scar King, but I wonder how Godzilla trapped the great apes and Shimo together, he wasn't alone in the war but it would be nice how many other kaiju were in this war

This thesis can be debunked from the narrative explaining Godzilla’s and Kong’s role. Godzilla has always been a protector/ruler as they have explained. If you go deeper in history then we have a whole community of Gojiras and we see what 1 does to all Titans… now imagine 5 of them, then 10, and 20. Nothing was a ruler over the Gojiras besides a Gojira themselves

I think Goji and Shimo fought and godzilla bearly got the upper hand b4 gidorah crashed landed close by and goji and godorah fought and shimo caused the ice age to recover and stop godorah and then goji and shimo say we're cool and she goes down under
I heard another theory that godzilla was preparing for space godzilla or destroya.
Here's one question i really want answered. Are titans basically immortal then? Cuz like how is shimo and godzilla both millions of years old but still look like they're at the prime of their power? Like i figure it's not all titans because we've seen certain titans that actually feed on other titans but like the titans that feed on radiation are they immortal? Cuz how can they be so old but still look like they're young adults? At least we definitely know the apes age but not how long they're life span really is cuz everytime we hear about one they're always killed

Godzilla X Kong was BY FAR the worst and its Tohos fault. Skar King Was nerfed by toho because they were afraid he would be too popular. Two years ago he was bigger than godzilla and kong and was sitting on his throne (dwarfing the throne) with godzilla and kongs skulls. He had glowing eyes (which they dont use or explain) and MASSIVE arms. When Toho got more involved they nerfed him down and FORCED legendary to add Shimo (an old toho anguirus design) to weaken scarking and his influence, Godzilla became so OP he looked to be four times as strong as shimo. Mothera was OP as well, she took no damage. Meanwhile the American made titans die in 2 seconds (tiamat and scilla). The power of Godzilla ruined the movie for me along with the nerfing of Skar King, Tiamat, Scilla, AND Kong (they dont even have the balls to give him his electric powers). Movie was a WASTED opportunity for legendary.
Shimo was a thing before skar king. She was shown in that call of duty event as an ancient painting on a wall in a cave fighting godzilla but we didn’t know what it was. The event happened 2 years ago but the gxk title reveal was 1 year ago and that’s when skar king was revealed. Mothra also did barely anything how was she op and when did toho get involved like at all with the making of the gxk movie?

I don't know where you came up with it, but this is the second time I've seen you voice negative comments on videos about Godzilla x Kong like this. So I propose an alternative solution; instead of badmouthing the story, just move on and find something else to enjoy. so I will just say I don't think it shaked out like this when there is a much more likely thing that happened. Namely during her reign, the Scar king probably imprisoned Shimo. Forcing a new alpha to step up. That alpha didn't have to be Godzilla, but eventually we would settle on Godzilla as the Alpha. The ice age in fact might have been not for Shimo's selfish ambition, but maybe it was more to keep Scar king from taking over the surface, driving him into Hollow earth, where he could be contained.
