This is the most realistic way joffery could be killed
lovely seeing our king Spartan and lady pudgey enjoying the show. 🥷🏼🍃
Margaery's marriage to Joffrey isn't valid because it was never consummated. Same as her marriage to Renly.
The throne will pass on to the next "Baratheon"/Lannister in the line of succession: Myrcella (who is the next eldest) if matrilineal primogeniture is practiced, Tommen (who is the youngest) if only (agnatic) primogeniture is practiced.
Dean-Charles Chapman, the actor who currently plays Tommen, played a different character in the earlier seasons btw. I doubt you guys will remember but he was 1 of the 2 Lannister boys that Lord Karstark murdered in season 3.

30:30 Cersei: “do you love him?”
Brienne: “Like a brother your Grace”
That would have been so savage bruhhh 😂
Why do ppl keep wanting to misquote Brienne here? That’s not what said or even what she was…..wait….OMG I think I finally get it, OMG 😂😂😂😅
@@Iamsome61 you're slow but congrats lol
@@amar7697amar She'd have been hanged for that. Jaime taking a slight is one thing, but Cersei would have not stood for that from someone who isn't a Lannister.
Ah! A good ol' classic meme in the Game of Thrones online Fandom groups 😌🤭🤣🍻
Oberyn is a prince for a reason. Dorne is a principality, they were allowed to keep some of their royal privileges since Dorne was never conquered, they got married into seven kingdoms with Targaryens, who couldn't concquer them. If you remember in HoTD it is de-jure six kingdoms (upd. tho Targaryens always claimed dominion over Dorne and thus it's called seven kindoms) and someone, from time to time, jokes about Dorne invading, or Criston Cole said that he fought Dornish incursion. So Oberyn couldn't care less about offending Tywin, espeically given his "do whatever I want" character, he's a prince.
In HOTD it’s Seven Kingdoms. The title never changes, because the Targaryens always claimed dominion over Dorne.
This comment is not accurate.
Drone also has special privileges like being able to participate in the slave trade and not having to pay taxes to the iron throne.
@Rakdar they did once take Dorne but the Dornish rebelled and reclaimed. they never wanted to try n take Dorne again but it would be too costly. the Dornish have a fierce defence. in the same way that Rob and the North had a deal that they would rule thier own shit but sorta be part of the kingdom the dornish had a similar agreement when targs ruled.
Oberyn absolutely does not give a damn and can back everything up
Plus they have Marcella in Dorne.
Heimlich maneuver was the term you were looking for. The hymen maneuver would be something very different. 😂😂
Giggidy... lol
Hey, the hymen maneuver was how Jaime gave Joffrey life in the first place.
@@xenikos99 nah, the twins are fooling around since they were kids. Joff's conception wouldn't be Cersei's first time.
thanks for the chuckle
nonono its now referred to as the hymen maneuver as dictated by Queen Pudgey
You gotta remember Spartan, things that are "obvious" to the audience, are not obvious to the characters. Tyrion is rightly the primary suspect. All evidence witnesses have point to him.
Yeah i mean Tyrion was known to hate the king and implicitly threatened to murder him like 3 episodes ago xD
@@ArgusStrav and he was holding the poisoned cup
famously had a bad relationship with the king, he was constantly mocked so he definitely had motif + was at the scene of the crime and he openly threatened joeffry like 3 episodes ago --> he was a very obvious suspect
@@hunterhorsehelmsley7315 yeah but what killer would be holding the murder weapon in public. It's just easier to blame Tyrion
Yeah plus Cersei claims it immediately and what's Tywin gonna do, disagree with the Queen Dowager in front of the entire court immediately after the death of the King? Can't look weak in front of that many people.
30:30 Brienne didn't deny it because she was too busy realizing it was true; she herself didn't realize it until that moment.
That or that she can't lie. She's the epitome of HONOUR and couldn't even lie with that.
@@Dadordemiel definitely both imo. Once she realized😳 she was like..🤐
i never know what people were expecting when they're disappointed by joffrey's death by poison. how else do you kill the most protected man in westeros? it's not like he was ever going to die in a battle, and no one could ever get close enough to him to actually assassinate him with a weapon. poison was the only way.
Yeah, not only to get through, but the best way that you can escape if planned perfectly. Charging through by surprise MIGHT get him, but you'll be a dead man too.

@@SpartanandPudgey dude, that would've been sensation, but at least that poison looked super painful. I'll take the win aha
The scene where Joffrey dies is so well acted. Even Cersi's "Take him!" Was so well done. Horrible characters, incredible actors.
It's a crime against humanity that lena headey didn't win emmys every year and what's worse is that she didn't win not even once
Jack Gleason did an amazing job portraying Geoffrey. He did his job. Everyone watching hated him with such a passion….it’s such a testament to his acting abilities when you really look at it.
@@harsh_1910 Umm, yeah, nah. Smirk face was ever present. We can't talk about later seasons where doubles did much of the hard work, can we?
@@The_Macho_King Yes, Joffrey, Theon AND Ramsey! What horrible roles to play!
Jack and Lena are amazing ❤
I believe, season 4 is the season when you really start appreciate Alfie Allen (actor, who plays Theon). His act is superb and it's going to stay at the highest level. In the show with so many good acts, he definitely is in my top 3.
the interpretation of cersei when her son died was pretty poor to be fair
I hated his character up until season 4, and even the torture he endured in season 3, you really want to believe he deserves it. But you inevitably start to feel bad for him. Like it goes way above and beyond what would have been a proper punishment for what he did, as bad as it was. In a real sense, he's not the same character he was in the beginning. This is the birth of Reek, a shadow of what he once was.
Theon is possibly the most complicated character in the whole series.
btw, after game of thrones, he played in a movie about the gold rush to Alaska, he was EXCELLENT in it, definitely worth checking out.

"You're perfect the way you are" - Joffrey Baratheon
He was truly the kindest.
I actually saw a meme with that screen shot. Underneath was a comment, “ What a lovely sentiment. We need more characters like this on TV. Does anyone know where this is from?” I guess my point is CONTEXT MATTERS!
Pudgey saying "poison it" and Spartan's face saying "like THIS" got me laughing haha
"His [Stannis] wife is a bit weird"
Understatement of the year 😂😂😂
The throne doesn't pass to Margerie it goes to the next male in the line of succession: Joffrey's brother Tommen. I don't think we've seen him since the Battle of Blackwater Bay
He's sitting next to Cersei
There's a little focus on tommen in this episode. More than any other episodes.
The only way Margaery would be Queen would be if she was Queen Regent for a son with Joffrey. But it's even worse than that. It's debatable if she is even married to Joffrey. There was a ceremony but if it's convenient nobles will weasel out of marriages by "proving" the marriage was never consummated.
They got one of the Lannister boys Karstark murdered to get to play Tommen from this season onwards
my boy tommen😭 he is a good person
I'm with Spartan on self-blinding to Robb's mistake. As one of his bannermen told him, "you lost this war the day you marry her."
Did Pudgey just say the "hymen maneuver " ? OMG I love her so much! That is certainly a maneuver just not the one you're thinking of! 🤣🤣🤣 Made my morning.

My reaction was totally different! I was SO HAPPY and i cried tears of joy after the final scene... And during his struggle i was like: YEAH! YES! Thats IT!
This guy is the perfect example of: HATE the character and RESPECT the actor! He was perfect for this role!
The actor who plays Joffrey is also so unlike his character from what I understand. He went out of his way to bring other actors coffee and whatnot. That's a true testament to his acting ability, that just seeing his face makes me want to punch it. Jack Gleeson, if you're reading this, I love your work and I will try really really hard not to try to punch you if I ever meet you! (No promises)
@@neil2444 it's gratifying that he gets so much love now. He's not acting anymore. For a long time he also received so much hate as a young actor playing this role He's received death threats which fans should be held accountable. People forget he was a kid
People forget he was acting, child or not
I think he said after GoT he was gonna study Philosophy in university.
Same
The poison that was used is really painful. I cannot say anymore because of spoilers but torture would not have been much worse for Joffrey.
Joffrey died within 1-2 minutes. Torture would definitely have been worse.
and he's shit all the way through his last breath lol
@@gammac534 I get what u did there
Doesn't matter how painful it was if it lasted only a few minutes. Torture is infinitely worse. Joffrey got off easy.
Reek wants to have a word with you.
Imo the character Joffrey is one of GRRM's best creations and hats off to Jack Gleeson man. What an actor, what an actor. He turned this role into one of the most memorable villains in the history of tv shows. Wish he hadn't quit acting tho, sucks that the role took a mental toll on him. He's like the sweetest guy in real life too lol and is a scholar of philosophy and theology.
He is back into acting. The only reason he left acting was because he wanted an education. Your right he is a really nice person. He brought his fellow actors coffee and breakfast on a regular basis.
This myth that he left acting because the roll took a toll on him needs to stop. He has said many times he was never bullied for the roll and everyone was really nice to him. He just left to finish his education. He is back acting now
@@ben1ben2ben1 exactly !! But people go on and on about that stupidity because they heard from someone that has no idea what they are talking about. I have no doubt that some idiotic people sent him or tried to send him some hate mail because there some whackos out there but known of that has anything to do with the decision he made to get an education.
@@annjenkins2677 Lol didn't he get his degree in the mid-2010s? I doubt education was the only reason for a decade long absence. I think these days Jack goes out of his way to let everyone know he's been treated really well by the fans, probably because of the existing perception that he wasn't. He is a kind man. But I think Jack himself forgets you can google articles from 2013-2014 where he is talking about burnout and mental health issues.
@@ben1ben2ben1 How is it a myth when all you have to do is google articles from 2014 where he's talking about burnout and mental health issues that contradicts what he's saying now? Oh you mean he's gone out of his way the last couple years when he came back after covid, especially the GoT con this year, to make the fans feel welcome and accomodating, and people like you took it at face value? That's just him being kind and professional. Ofc I'm sure he doesn't get hate a decade later, but he absolutely got an unhinged amount of online hate back in the day and anyone around the Thrones fandom at the time shouldn't find this surprising. I mean half the actors who started Thrones young came out with mental health issues, so..B ut yeah, I'll take 2014 Jack Gleason's word over 2022 Jack Gleason's word.
After you finish season 4, you can watch this final scene again and see how the poisoning was done. It's another one of those things that is not obvious at first, but stick out when you know what to look for.
reminds me of Glass Onion
Spartan and Pudgey it's subtle but you can ACTUALLY SEE WHO did it and HOW if you pay attention rewatching the wedding scene. You'll get the answer later as well.
Yeahhh! Great scene to watch next to the history and lore
the problem is that that person didn't really take anything. he/she just touched something......is it enough? and we don't see when he/she put it into wine/glasses
Anything regarding future plotlines shouldn't be mentioned.
The "hymen manuever" sound like a move one of littlefinger's girls can do 🤣
There's so many little details in this episode that I love, like how Tywin runs to Tommen when Joffrey starts choking.
S4 really did not need to be this good right out the gate!!! 🔥🔥🔥
the Hymen Maneuver 🤣🤣🤣 that would be an interesting way to save someone from choking lol
Hey Spartan and Pudgey, really nice to reach this point and see Lannister have a taste of their own medecine (marriage going red). Just to clear a point, Margaery is not queen for two reasons : first they didn't have the wedding night, which is a vital legal step to ensure the marriage. And second, you might remember that Sansa asked her Septa "what happens if I don't give birth to boys for Jeoffrey ?" - "Then the throne will go to his brother, Tommen." ! With that we can start trying to have guesses 😄
Better said "purple" as this is called The Purple Wedding.
Pudgey made the love list with the incomparable hymen maneuver.
I liked the ending for Joffrey. He didn’t deserve something grand and dramatic. In the end he died like he lived, a little refaced mama's boy. No big battle, duel or cool assassin move, just a nasty little kid gasping for air like he’s having a final toddler tantrum.
R.I.P. Joffrey Baratheon. A real legend, he played his role so brilliantly that the whole world could hate him, in confirmation of this he received letters with urgos of murder (for his role lol) from stupid people who cannot separate the character and the actor. Incredible performance by Jack Gleeson
Like Percy from the Green Mile, you hate the character so much, it just goes to show how incredibly talented they are. As I understand it, Jack Gleeson was very much the opposite on set, going out of his way to bring coffee and breakfast to his colleagues. I hate that he got death threats.
And jack stopped acting because of it
@@stephenponnet462 That's not why he quit acting.
@@piratsnygg I believe he's stated that it was one of the contributing factors.
@@stephenponnet462 I'm pretty sure he stopped because he wanted an education and went and got it. He is back into acting now tho so I dont think it had anything to do with him not acting anymore after he got killed off.
Purple wedding is one of the most satisfying episodes of the entire show :)
Not even the hymen maneuver would have saved Joffrey from this! 🤣
Oberyn Martell is one of my favorite characters in the show. My first introduction to Pedro Pascal and I loved his performance. Love him in The Mandalorian as well.
You had an interesting reaction with Joffrey's death. Most viewers were really satisfied when this episode aired.
Pudgey was happy it was Spartan who wanted more.

I always forget how early in the season this comes. Great reaction, as ever!
Also, "the hymen manoeuvre" ...not quite, Pudgey!
37:34 I'm calling it now. For the longest time, Spartan has been wishing for Joffrey's death. I am predicting that before the end of the show, he will start missing Joffrey and wishing that he was still around.
Yes, of course! (notice the irony).
@@Dadordemiel Sorry, I don't understand.

OMG!! Love Pudgey's happiness at Joffrey's death!! :-) As the episodes go on you'll love Oberyn and Pedro more and more!!
I was so excited for them to see this one! 🤴 💀
Joffrey dying is arguably as shocking (or even more) than the red wedding tbh. The difference is Joffrey’s death is not heartbreaking but the opposite 🤣
I like how you somehow think Tywin likes Tyrion even though Tywin and Tyrion have repeatedly mentioned how much Tyrion is detested by him. Since literally episode 1 of season 1.
Tywin will never fully embrace Tyrion. However he does acknowledge his ability for strategy and general intelligence while it suits the Lannister's power particularly by making him acting hand of the king during season 2.
"Of course the one wedding that went off without a hitch and it's Jofferys" lol
It's like the writers were thinking during the Ramsey scenes, don't forget how much we hate joffrey. And how good is Alfie Allen s acting that he takes us they all these emotions? When he was so smug as a kid then so mean and pathetic taking over winter fell , then making us feel so much love and support during his torture scenes. How hard must that have been to make it authentic. P.s. Pudgy looking so mod with your 60s siren hair do.. 🔥
The throne does not pass to Margarie. It passes to the king's younger brother, Tommen.
Weddings are never a dull affair in Westeros and I bet that you guys weren't expecting this so soon. 🤣
And I do like the darker background. Dark mode all the way.
Which is funny, because Westerosi weddings would be par for the course at best by Dothraki standards lol
Remember the line from Varys and Tyrion:
Varys: I've always hated the bells, they ring for horror. A dead king, a city under siege..
Tyrion: A wedding?
Varys: exactly.
@@Mrryn There was less than 3 deaths at this wedding so it was quite a dull affair 🤣🤣
Cersei and Tywin should have died as well to meet the Dothraki threshold 🤣
This one, however, would still be dull by Dothraki standards. Only one death. It was a king, though, so maybe that could count for something.
@@0okaminoequivalent to a Khal dying at a Dothraki wedding, maybe? Although I think that would be amazing to them and they would immediately be like “A wedding and a stronger Khal, in one day? Fuck yeah! This is awesome!”
So just a clarification, although I'm sure, having watched the other episodes, you guys know by now. Margary only becomes Queen consort...which doesn't really mean anything if the King dies. Joffrey having no sons, will have his brother Tommon become the King as the next BARATHEON heir. Remember the dynasty is Roberts', that's where Joffrey gets his claim
Ramsey was on a whole other level of despicable. Poor Theon having to endure his cruelty. I was very happy when Joffery died. It felt like a win finally for the good people. Purple Wedding is what they called it.
And Ramsey is massively toned down from the books
@@ben1ben2ben1 yeah in the books he married a phony Arya I believe her name was Jeyne Poole and what he did to her with significantly worse than what he did to Sansa but not quite as bad as what he did to theon

This episode has you on edge the whole time because it’s the last episode that George RR Martin (author of the books) writes for the show. The dialogue in this episode is crazy
Episode was heavily edited by D&D because Martin wrote the script too close to being written for a novel with Food descriptions and visions that didnt made the cut.

Yes. I’m not sure that they realized that the sword given to Joffrey at the wedding breakfast was one of the two swords reforged from Ned’s Ice, with the other one being the one Tywin gave to Jamie in the previous episode.
@@blackeyedlily yeah I dont think anyone realized it was Ned's. Could you imagine if Joffrey found out before or during the wedding how badly do you think he would have messed with Sansa ?

I absolutely love how thorough the discussions before and after the reactions are. I've watched about a dozen reaction series for GoT and I think you're the only ones I've seen who do it, at least to this extent. And you play such close attention. It's perfect for this series. I'd love to see the same with Westworld, another HBO masterpiece. But fair warning, I think it's darker than GoT. At the very beginning, at least. Then they even out
Spartan saying keep drinking. Got me
43:20 🤣🤣
Sorry sorry sorry but that made me laugh so hard after this brutal episode. Thank you.
btw- it's _Heimlich,_ the hymen maneuver is in a whole other category
Season 3 and season 4 are the adaptations of Book 3. The showrunners decided to split that book into two seasons, so Season 4 begins when we are already very advanced within the third book. This is why a very important event like the one at the end of this episode occurs much earlier in the season than it would have been expected.
Pudgey saying "Poison" as a joke right before it literally happens lmao
RIP to the most loving, kind and noble character in the show. We will miss him!
Shae is not dumb, she knows Tyrion is just trying to make her go. The real reason she's mad is because she wanted Tyrion to step up to Tywin and Cersei but he refuses. Which of course is suicide but Shae is reckless and fierce.
Also, it's worth noting how she wanted him to run away with her. When he turned the idea down, I think she felt wounded that she wasn't enough for him, and that he'd rather stay in a city filled with people who want him (and her) dead, rather than try to make a life with her.
To be honest, at least show Tyrion, in my opinion, is similar to Theon and Ramsay in the sense that he wanted his father’s approval, too, for a while. That may have been a part of him playing along rather than standing against them, because deep down he still wanted them to see him for who he was and he wanted them to accept him. He hoped he would do enough to prove their beliefs about him wrong.
Spartans loyalty to Tywin is so funny! Every time Tywin does something evil, spartan spins it to somehow make him look like a positive light.
game of thrones is the only series that can show a literal child choking to death on his own bodily fluids and illicit the reaction "this is fantastic."
oh i really appreciate that you actually take the time to listen to feedback! the lighting does look nice imo, you guys really stand out now
I haven’t performed the hymen maneuver since high school but back then saving lives is what I was all about.😍
Pudgey may be the most unintentionally hilarious reactor in the entire CZcams universe 😂😂
Pudgey is in my love list😂❤
42:17 Lol, I'm sorry. Did you really just say that Tyrion being blamed for Joffrey's murder was a "poorly executed scene"? Are you having a laugh? It's one of the all time great TV moments.
would have thought Spartan would have learned by now that things are not going to go how he expects them to. expect the unexpected!
The first rule of Game of Thrones: don't have the usual expectations, Martin wrote this to subvert them, tired of everyone hitting the same beats as if storytelling was locking into the same earworm melody. He sets things up like every writer before him did, then twists the knife in the other direction. It's the anti-cliche.
Well until season 5/6 when they run out of books and everything becomes generic and predictable
When Martin subverts expectations its good, when D&D do it, its bad.
first! already great reaction i can tell, can't wait for you to see the rest of season 4, best season in my opinion.
Tyrion didn't just grab a random cup...He was Joffrey's cup bearer and he poured his wine so to everyone present... He's the likeliest person to do so
He also has some strong motivations
Yeah, in the moment, nobody present would have had any reason to doubt that Tyrion was responsible (especially after watching the whole scene play out between them just seconds before Joffrey carks it), and certainly Cersei, whose kid has literally just died agonisingly in her arms, isn't going to be thinking the most rationally (especially with Tyrion's earlier promise of turning her joy to ashes and all that).
It's just a real bad day to be Tyrion.
@@blueren6649 You're exactly right... Tyrion had the motivation, he threatened Cersei and Joffrey before and he didn't have any way to really prove his innocence
The only other likely culprit would be Sansa and it's for similar reasons honestly
Yeah but the way it played out, why would the perpetrator stick around and grab the same cup he used to poison Joffrey? Unless they were absolutely stupid which everyone including his family and Cersei know Tyrion is far from.
But he and the cup are always in sight. And who just carries around poison in case their demon nephew randomly decides to make him play cup bearer. I agree everything else looks really bad, but the placement of the poison by Tyrion just seems extremely unlikely.
I WAS SURPRISED Spartan never hit upon the old "poison is a woman's weapon" quote! 😮

No, guys, Margery is not the Queen. She would be the Queen Regent, but not even that. The marriage was not consumated, so it's not legally binding.
Ah, The Purple Wedding! Loved how Joffrey was mistreating Tyrion the whole time at the wedding only to choke on his words literally 🤣
A shocking scene...but we needed this!
Shoutout to actor Jack Gleeson for smashing the role of sadistic tyrant!
I watched a video of Jack Gleeson giving a talk/lecture room interview at University College Dublin after this episode. He's actually a nice guy. After that, when I re-watched GoT, I didn't hate him as much anymore 😆, instead, more respect on what he brought into his character in the series to make people watching feel the hate at his King Joffrey character.
"Look, the pie!" Best tension breaker.
Hate the character but love the actor. That was such a great portrayal of joffrey. The actor himself was hated because of this character. It's a shame we probably won't see him again because he's not interested in acting any more.
Can this bullshit rumor just stop. Jack has talked several times about how he doesn't know how that rumor about him being bullied started and everyone seems extra nice to him because they all think he is bullied for the roll. He wasn't
Love the background vibes 🎉looks like a dope club vibe!
Love the background and you're reaction !! Keep it up guys :)
The fact that you guys thought that Margeary was going to be queen by simply marrying Joffrey - without the marriage having been consumated - and blindly ignoring the line of succession (both illegitimate and legitimate), and especially AFTER having watched House of the Dragon... You truly are the sweetest summer children 😅😘
37:54 that sadistic face lmao💀
😂😂😂 I loved it
When this first showed, people thought they were being trolled too over Joff's death. It was funny when you mentioned Cersi's no good, then she does ONE good thing (getting creepy Pycelle away from the serving girls) then she goes right back to type.
I can't believe I'm about to defend Cersei Lannister here, but the whole "taking the food to the kennels" bit isn't because she's just trying to be some superbitch; it's specifically because she recognises that Margaery (and, by extension, House Tyrell) is a looming threat, and that Margaery is attempting to gain greater influence by garnering public support (as she has been from the beginning). As a result, Cersei wants to undercut her promises to make people distrust her. It's a dirty strategy, but there is a method to the madness.
Wine (poisoned or otherwise) is how you kill a King in King's Landing.

Based mod 👍 these are awesome rules
well they said 3, 4 and 5 already watched. Some old aged pensioners such as myself can't afford patreon.
@@Hochspitz We try to keep it simple because sometimes people are mistaken about what they have actually watched up to (patreon or otherwise) and then end up spoiling stuff in an episode they haven't seen prematurely.
Pudgey picks on things so fast it’s exciting
I like the background not too bright not too dark perfect and great reaction love watching you guys 😁😘
the background is okay...keep it up, really enjoying the reactions 🙌
I love how everyone's squeamish until it's joffereys death, then it's eyes wide open
Seeing that episode the first time, I think I went back and watched thst scene like 5 times lol.
😂😂😂 Spartan, take the wins where you can! Dude, it’s one of the most satisfying scenes ever! 😁
A Westerosi wedding without at least three deaths is considered a dull affair.
Glad these have started coming out again. I was in a post-S3 slump!
thanks for uploading this one so quickly. its a good one
Thanks for my lunch time entertainment guys 😊 Great reaction as always.
About the binding glue of books, it might sound weird, but it's actually pretty normal. Glue can be made by boiling bones (including fish, hoofs, horns etc.), skins (mostly horse and bovines) and other soft tissues. Animal glues have been around for at least 4000 years.
Woo hoo another GOT reaction from Spartan and Pudgey !! Love ya both.
First, I love any background you guys choose! Secondly, I LOVE YOUR REACTIONS and I'll always be a fan!!I remember when I first watched this episode and joff died. I was so happy omg
Watching the utter joy on Pudgey's face when Joeffrey died is priceless.... lol, who would have ever thought watching a kid die could be satisfying....
Was waiting all along for your reaction to this scene lol
40:05 Joffrey has a younger brother. The wife of the king doesn’t become the new ruler, just like Cersei didn’t become the ruler after Bobby B died
Yup, Margaery is only queen consort, not queen regnant. The power is not hers through birth, only a title through marriage. Just like Stannis would have inherited the throne after Robert died because Robert had no trueborn sons, Joffrey's crown is now Tommen's (there is no break in the succession, Tommen is king the moment Joffrey died)
@@AllTheArtsy she would've been queen consort, and she's not a dowager queen either, now she's just a Lady of Highgarden since the marriage wasn't consumated
That's not how Succession works that Margery will be queen without king. After the king, his son ascends the throne and because Joffrey did not have a son, then the order goes to the brother, i.e. his younger brother Tommen (he was sitting next to Cersei in this episode at the wedding) will become king.
Pudgey your reaction to Joffrey's death was absolutely priceless. I loved it !! Great reaction as always thank you again.
I wasn't expecting what has been dubbed as "the purple wedding," so soon after the "red wedding." Season 4 is probably my favorite season with the addition of Prince Oberyn (arguably my favorite character in both the books and show.) You guys have a lot of great stuff to look forward to this season..I wanted to also leave a little comment about the actor who played Joffrey..as a character, so many couldn't wait for him to get what was coming. A character everyone loves to hate, which is a great testament to Jack Gleeson's acting. According to various sources, Jack is the complete opposite of Joffrey in real life in every way..finally, the band playing at the wedding in which Jeffrey throws coins at, is one of my favorite bands, Sigur Ros.. Their version of "The Rains of Castamere" plays at the end of the episode.
