Facts
When Karen guessed âisraelâ it broke my heart and the Palestinian girlâs reaction is on point.
I mean, sheâs technically correct. The country is called Israel.
Threw me off when she said the US was responsible for the conflict tbh. Made me think it was a relatively recent conflict. Not that the US doesn't have a heavy influence in what's going on now, but I'd argue that the conflict has been occurring for a LONG time and is far more deep rooted. Like the Brits have a lot of responsibility too.

I follow a few Palestinian activists and their stories, pictures a videos are so different from the pro-Israel propaganda that is shown in Germany. It feels like a crime to be German and support Palestine, because we are the reason the US deceided to give Jewish people land that the US had no right to give away and subsequently ignored all cries for help from the people living there.
As soon as she said resilience I heard Palestine
@@magnusbane420 the us did not give the land, the entire world voted on it in the un, as democratically as possible. And the Holocaust was only the final catalyst and proof that the jewish people are not protected anywhere, after 2000 years of diaspora for most jews. The lucky smaller bunch maintened their life and presence on the land throughout that entire time, it is well documented in official records of whatever foreign entity controled the land at different times, historical literature, photographs and family trees (jewish people who have had no diaspora experience because their ancestors never left).
I suggest anyone who wants to be educated enough to form an opinion read actual history books, even read a Wikipedia page for fuck's sake. You don't decide what to think based on Instagram "activists".
Interesting how the theme of needing to hear 'stories about us from us' came through. It's the same where I'm from.
