I really enjoyed this video. There’s so much diversity in the Middle East so watching the comparisons was refreshing. I also like how they say “her beauty is [country.]” so “her beauty is Egyptian beauty” or “her beauty is Saudi beauty”. My guess is that they say it this way because when it translates from Arabic to English this is the way it’s translated but for someone who never says it in this way, it actually sounds so beautiful to me. Eastern Europe? not by a long shot, i've been to Poland and let me tell you the cultural difference was enormous.
While some Western Turkish cities might draw resemblances to some Balkan countries such as Bulgaria and Greece. By and large, Turkey is very vast and the overwhelming majority of the country has more cultural similarities with Syria, Iran and Lebanon than the Balkans, least of all Eastern Europe.

Had so many friends and learned about the culture. You know you should spend time in a region to understand its characteristics and similarities with yours. I can guess that you’ve never been to the Middle East. Go there, spend some time, and you will know what I mean. The Middle East is much more traditional and conservative than Turkey. And that makes a huge difference. I don’t try to avoid the Middle East; Turkey is partially Middle Eastern. But that’s not the defining culture of the country. Your heroism is just banal because you didn't understand what I meant.

''I can guess that you’ve never been to the Middle East''
Hey that is my line. For a person who claims Hungary of all places is closer to Turkey as a whole than to, say, Lebanon, Syria or Iraq, you are more likely to have not set foot in any Middle Eastern country.
Also i am quite sure you've never been to any city east of Ankara in Turkey if you are basing your arguments on traditionalism. Provinces such as Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır have infinitely more cultural ties with Syria, Iraq, Lebanon etc. Take to the streets in any of those cities and tell me with a straight face that those ppl that you see walking down the streets are culturally closer to Hungary than Iraq.

Turkey is not a Middle Eastern country, it only borders Middle East. Neither is Iran which is an Asian country, nor Tunisia which is an African country. Do you classify Middle East according to religion? @DanishTroll87 Well Turkey has land in Europe and a population of over 15 million, so technically it is European. It is true that we are "less European" than other European countries because our culture is different, but technically, sorry, we are Europeans.
But the real problem is to put a country on the same box with countries that are actually different from it. The term "Middle East" is not based on any reality and when heard, it evokes some images/concepts that have nothing to do with Turkey in people's minds.

@@milaray4640 Greece and Turkey are indeed countries located in Southern Southeastern Europe. It was a mistake on my part to label them as Eastern Europe. Eastern Europe is generally characterized by the dominance of Slavic cultures. Turkey is recognized as a European country in various international contexts and participates in European events and activities, including sports and music organizations and political meetings.
Turkey's geographical situation and ethnic diversity are complex. Before World War I, a significant portion of Eastern Europe and the Middle East was under the control of the Ottoman Empire. However, after the declaration of the republic, Turkey's borders changed, and the country's orientation shifted away from the Middle East.
While there are individuals in Turkey, particularly of Arab and Kurdish ethnic backgrounds, who may not feel a strong affinity for the West and may hold more conservative views, it is important to note that the majority of Turks do not share these sentiments. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, during his time, indeed looked to the diverse civilizations coexisting within the vast territories of the Ottoman Empire as examples. Through his reforms and innovations, he aimed to make Turkey a European-oriented nation and promote a connection with European values and standards.

It is wonderful to see a Turkish girl here on this channel. But I’m afraid the concept is wrong. Because Türkiye is not a middle-eastern country.
Having land on continental Europe, being an official EU candidate, member of European customs union and European Convention on Human Rights, competing in European Championships for years, how come is Türkiye considered as a middle eastern country?
We are not Arabs. We do not speak Arabic. Our only official language is Turkish. Our culture is different. We share the same religion but Türkiye is a secular country and all of its legislation come from Europe. We have more interaction with Europe than Middle East. And ethnically, we are more mixed with Balkans than Middle East.
I have nothing against Middle Eastern Countries or its wonderful lovely people. I love them all, but I am not one of them.

As you can see Turkish girl couldn't keep up with them because she's different than them. Turkey is not a Arabic or Middle Eastern country. Turkey has European features and Mediterranean features. It has similarities with Middle Eastern countries as well but it just because of the Ottoman Empire's large lands. Near Eastern countries like Greece, Turkey, Cyprus etc. have their own similarities. 🇹🇷 Turkey is not an Arabic country. You can see that. Country is a better word than nationality. Because some of those "nationalities" are formed by geography. They are living at the same place. Normally nationality is less related to geography: more to language and culture. In the Middle East tribal power is strong. Sometimes governments have to negotiate with tribal leaders to get things done.
