- ABBA is one of the most commercially successful groups in the history of popular music, topping the charts worldwide from 1974 to 1982.
This medley is based on a big band arrangement by Ed Wilson. With a selection of ABBA's most memorable songs, it is a guaranteed crowd pleaser on a gig. I've re-arranged as an easy grade brass quintet. Enjoy!

Instrumentation: 2 trumpets, flugelhorn, trombone and tuba. In the video I play the tuba part on my flugel down two octaves.
there are a bunch of people doing this but you're the only person that 'balances' the instruments. i also love the little smiles you give your twins
Großartig -- ich bin beinahe verliebt.
Love the facial reactions, Maeve. It looks like you had fun, plus the piece gives plenty of room for your creativity. You are the only one who has “sections”, too. Well done!
It's unusual to find a quintet of kids so talented in the same discipline!
Miracles of the 21st century, aye. 😉
This really hits home ngl. Performed in a production of Mamma Mia last summer, and I really miss that show. So much fun to perform. I was singing along and smiling like an idiot and while listening to this haha.
Du bist einfach Klasse, in Allem 🙂
Love this Maeve! Even my mum was dancing in her chair!
Thanks for listening Dan!
Well done! 👏
So be honest... Do you like playing brass instruments? Beautifully done. I also like the way you put the background lines in the proper visual perspective to simulate an ensemble of musicians.
Awesome channel 😍
Que grato despertar salir al trabajo escuchando tus versiones musicales muy bien interpretadas, bravisimo
Un like para ti !
Fabulous. Thanks so much for sharing.
BRAVISSIMO!!! great expressions, too! :o)!
You are golden! 👍👌
This is really good and fun! Brava!
Love it!! Looks like you have a lot of fun doing this.
Love this ! Well done!
You are amazingly talented. Your videos are quite entertaining.
Maeve,you are awesome!!
Thank you! 😆
@@maevelander1 Keep doing what you do. I play trumpet, but I wouldn't even remotely amuse myself by thinking I was anywhere in the vicinity of your talent. Not to mention doing all the digital, multi track stuff. I have a hard time changing a light bulb. Anyway,I look forward to more of your work.
Thank you.
Muito bom, belíssimo trabalho, parabéns, um grande talento, continue com os vídeos, nós agradecemos!
Just noticed you switched to a slide trombone. Nice!
Congrats! Well played
Makes me happy. Wish I could see the tuba player...
First on the right. *always read the description. 😆
OMG, it's so awesomeeeeee
Very talented girl!
Look forward to many more tunes..
Try Crazy Rondo by Mozart!
As alaways you do a great job. Have you ever thought about doing the Peter Gunn Theme? You could do some really neat things with that selection. Keep up the great work.
Bravissima!
Love it
Excelente trabajo, felicitaciones, te agradezco si me enseñas como grabarme en varias pantallas al mismo tiempo asi como tú en éste video, qué programa utilizas. Gracias.
How shall I compare thee to Canadian Brass? Very favorably, I think!
Hi Maeve. Just what I was looking for for my quintet. Thank you. BTW, as an old trombonist, can i suggest you don't curl up your 3rd to 5th fingers on your slide hand, but just free them to sit beside each other in an 'open hand' position. Holding the slide between thumb and forefinger is good. Nice playing all round. Cheers.
Thanks Don! I've fixed up the technique in more recent videos 🙂 You're right - much more comfortable and accurate slide control.
Do I hear a 6th voice at 4:47 on the high Eb? All five in the video seem to be playing other parts.
Which program do you use to lower the pitch for the Tuba?
I love that you exist, and the same goes for your CZcams fellow travellers Samara Ginsberg (cellos; czcams.com/users/SamaraGinsbergCello) and Lord Vinheitero (piano)
Loved it 🤗🤗 How did you get the tuba sound ? Electronically?
I play the tuba part on my flugel then drop it down two octaves in the software.
@@maevelander1 Excellent technique for getting a realistic tuba sound! Did you tweak it with any EQ?
What appened at 1:25?
