  • A smooth, creamy bossa nova, written by Burt Bacharach, made famous by singer Dusty Springfield.
As regular listeners will know, I love playing this kind of mellow jazz. This chart is arranged by Bob Driggs, and flows beautifully - it practically plays itself! I'd definitely recommend grabbing a copy for your ensemble's library.
    Sheet music available at musescore.com/...
Instrumentation: trumpet, flugelhorn, horn in Eb, trombone and tuba. In the video I play the tuba part on my flugel, then drop it down 2 octaves.

Well now...an important notification popped up on my monitor, and I was served up to this delightful performance. You have such beautiful tone and buttery-smooth stylings that really bring this to life. Congratulations on another professional production.

I dropped by from a link that Iowa Bob put on his Musescore channel and I'm glad I did. Excellent rendition of his arrangement. Well played!

Excellent, love it. I think your tenor horn is the same model as mine, but yours sounds better.....!

Maeve, as always you do a fantastic job on your brass instruments. Have you ever thought of using a mellophone in your videos? It would add a new sound to your videos. Mellophone was adapted for marching band and has a smooth sound to it. You can get it in the key of F or Eb. I play one and use it in brass jazz band and military band as well. I think it would be a great addition to your music videos on You Tube. Your videos really brighten my day. And I am a computer programmer as well. Keep up the great work.

Hi Robert, glad you enjoy listening. I'd love to try a Mellophone one day but they're not common here. In fact I've actually never seen one in real life. I'm enjoying playing the Horn in Eb (we call it Tenor horn though in USA it's known as the Alto horn) and that serves well for the horn part for now. Greetings from Australia.

Maeve, you've done it again. You once invited me to suggest a song for you to play. Now I'm kicking myself because I didn't suggest this one.

Hi Marco, yeah all good over here. 🙂 No excuse really, just been a bit busy with work and social stuff! I have a few arrangements in progress though, so stay tuned! Hope you are going well too, and enjoying spring on its way to your part of the world.
