for those who dont know what the airbags are: Heavy trucks and trailers that can lift their wheels to preserve them when not needed, or drop them to meet weight load regulations, use inflatable airbags to lift and lower them. Some buses also use these to manage center of mass because buses are pretty tall so an imbalanced center of mass makes them easy to topple over when cornering. Here’s a tip Trucker repair son to trucker When you hear hissing it means there’s still feed to the bag if the whole air bag popped it would be louder and the trailer would immediately drop due to the loss for the air buildup to raise it off the tires (When a trailer has no air the air builds up to raise it up to support for loads and fragile equipment as well as steady rides up hill) What you can do is actually use visegrips to clamp off the hole with some metal tape wrap it around the area and clamp it tight after shutting the truck off (This is a temporary solution to force the air into the bag to build up enough pressure to limp it off the freeway and to the nearest repair station) Roll slow and be more cautious in the future!

When I used to drive we put a locked box in the back of the truck we covered with a tarp and we put tools a long ass hose for air and some spare airbags fittings some spare fuses, and other goodies. Just in case something like this would happen we don’t have to wait for road service but do it ourselves. I recommend get some spare bags they are not that big and get 2 so they don’t scam you with shitty ones or used.
You do not haul fucking airbags around 24/7dude they most definitely are big and do not go enough to justify that very rare a airbag blows keep a couple air fittings some hose and fuses not the whole parts room
@@ashtonvalentine7496 Ok let me clarify a bit. The space on the back of the would a little bigger than the space people in the US use for their tool boxes on the back of a pickup truck, the reason we used it is because we haul equipment from very far away from services like roadside assistance. The roads I used to drive where not really well kept since the government where I'm from does not give a dam about it so a lot bumps where deep enough that the load on the trailer would blow them after a bit of use and the company didn't wanna replace it before failure so we decided to leave it on the truck in case we had to do it ourselves. In case you are wondering we would move equipment for oil refineries in Venezuela. Some drives would be all the way from a port city to anywhere like the ass end of nowhere. Some times we would go with a whole crew and sometimes we would go with just a driver and a helper just so we would have a guy looking at a map so we don't get lost.

Dont worry guys, a blown tire or airbag is nothing special. I work in a little truckworkshop at a trucking company and we have that all the time. Old / damaged tires get collected every other week and by that time we almost always have a pile of around 30 worn down/damaged tires. We also have around 5-10 airbags of each kind stored, they are not that frequent but they still blow up sometimes, maybe once a week or so. And all that from around 50 trucks so yeah, not that bad. I also gotta say that we work in construction so tires get way more affected than in other enviorments but still, shit happens.

Be careful what you didn't wished for 😂 it's even worst than a tire now 😂
When I used to drive we put a locked box in the back of the truck we covered with a tarp and we put tools a long ass hose for air and some spare airbags fittings some spare fuses, and other goodies.
Thats why you always check your trailer. I never had that in 5 years
czcams.com/video/5WNacOydtJA/video.html Yeah no
Bro I swear life will throw the most absurd bullshit at you 😭 but don’t worry it gets better after always
"Universe: bet I'ma change it to something you can't repair"
My Father is Trucker i drove often with him and Its the most normal thing either an Suspension bag or a Tire bleibt up we even drove on the Emergency lines from Petit-Rechain Be to Kaiserbarake with 50 km/h so that the liftaxle doesnt go down with a load of 20t of Sand
Not the young tucker bro 😭😭😭😭
At that point, you wished it was a tire😂
Dont worry guys, a blown tire or airbag is nothing special. I work in a little truckworkshop at a trucking company and we have that all the time. Old / damaged tires get collected every other week and by that time we almost always have a pile of around 30 worn down/damaged tires. We also have around 5-10 airbags of each kind stored, they are not that frequent but they still blow up sometimes, maybe once a week or so. And all that from around 50 trucks so yeah, not that bad. I also gotta say that we work in construction so tires get way more affected than in other enviorments but still, shit happens.
Had one of them blow up right beside me n my boss not even a foot away. the ringing from it was insane felt like your ears were bleeding
That happened to me once, on the front axle drivers side and I was standing by the door. Almost needed a new pair of underwear. 😂
Being a truckie comes at rusk my whole family are truckers and my dad and my grandam were on a trip and witnessed an accident. They had a trailer catch on fire. My grandma passed out behind the wheel and my dad didnt know how to drive a road train at the time. My dads girlfriend got sentenced 3 years for death by driving at night she accidentally hit a bike rider and killed him so shes coming home in 5 months. But its hectic a truck driver takes bravery and comes with massive risks
Idc if I dont get life and I'm not saying a little story I'm just saying it's dangerous if U don't know what ur doing
Mate it’s the 1st of 1000’s 😂😂😂😂
The moment I heard the compressed air escaping I immediately knew it was a air line or the air suspension. but "IT WAS NOT A TIRE" :)
Don't tell me it was a tire, don't tell me it was a tire, don't tell me it was a tire.
*F**K IT WASN'T A TIRE*
Dude a really respect how you reaacht this what happend and you called someone to help.or what to do pls ler me know your truck is ok
I feel that pain.
Have had many Blowouts in my time.
Perfect spot doh. Blowout waited so you could pull right in 😊
Boss isnt gonna be happy😂😂
First thought it was a $300 dollar fix but no it was a $1000+ fix😂
My dad had a trailer where his Air bag was slowly leaking it wasnt like really noticeble he found out about it when he was checking the condition of truck glady he was empty and was able to get to the company where they gave him new trailer
this truckers of Europe update is crazyy
No way the background music 💀💥👏🏻
It wasn't a tire, it was something worse 😂
I used to work on repairing trucks for a Company and the airbags were so annoying
Guys if there’s one thing to take from this video it’s too not tell him that it was a tyre 😂😂
So terrifying, I was literally shaking in my boots
When I grow up, I want to be a truck driver. But now I see how hard the life of a truck driver is😢😭😭
I remember changing one only to figure out the level was broken. Ever been under a truck when it happened?
A series of a trucker with a gopro would be interesting, and like, might be me stupidity kicking in, but this feels like a video game
Can only imagine how he'd react when he has a steer tire blowout. I had 1 blow at 73mph. Took me a good 30 - 45 mins to separate my ass from seat.
Bro next time that happens take the air line off put a piece of plastic (cut water bottle cap) in between air line and air bag so the air stops leaking and keep going. Good luck out there driver.
When I heard that pissing sound I had a bad feeling it was an airbag or pancake seal.
If you stand close to one of the airbags and hear it blow, it's going to be so loud. I thought something like a bomb went off the first time I heard one blow 😭😂
That's why I always carry $500 dollars for any type of emergency that arises on the road in cash so I can call any tire guy and he can fix it once so I stayed and he only charged me $80.❤❤
