We have two words that mean good.. -хорошо as in ok, well, pleasant -добро as in kindness, benevolence, ultimate good As a reply Хорошо “to mean alright, fine, ok” Добро “we made a deal?/!” (at least in southern Russia where I’m from) As observation Хорошо “well done, nice work, very pleasing Добро “I’ve just seen the work of a philanthropist” As describing a person Хороший/шая “pleasant character/well meaning/nice” Добрый/рая“kind, harmless, gentle” Also Хорош/ша “he/she is very fine” Добр/ра “he/she has been/is benevolent to me/them/everyone” Also “добро” can’t be used to describe inanimate objects, places, feelings but you can give it to others, but likewise you can’t give хорошо, but you can make it... idk if you get it Хороший (object/place) trusty/dependable/beautiful/comfortable etc.. just as in English Also allow me to disagree with the video author, you can use it to describe food an drinks Хороший (food) when you start eating it and it hits your hunger just right... if I missed anything add it in the comments

I watch a lot of Russian language films on Amazon Prime and it surprised me how little you hear xorosho. You hear 'normalna' for feeling good or even after an accident, the person says they're normalna.

Sure. Here are some short answers totally appropriate here: Хорошо - good Отлично - great Неплохо - not bad Так себе - could be better Не очень - not great Нормально - ok Any of those sound natural as a response to 'как дела'.

You could say "okay" in Russia in your conversation and all people will react adequately. The western "okay" is also widely used in Russia.

It's always nice to have a diverse vocabulary. Other synonyms for хорошо are здорово, замечательно, классно, круто (the last two are colloquial).
Хорошо pronunciation means "shit show" in Arabic so It never felt natural to me anyway 😂
i thought it's because people use it for the "owo" in the word

Any of those sound natural as a response to 'как дела'.
