First band I saw live, aged 15 in 1976. We were huge fans. Mum n dad took me and my brother. They were amazing. Great and underrated. I met Lee Kerslake in a nightclub; I knew immediately who he was. We had a chat, I told him what huge fans me and my family were. We agreed that the 76 gig I had seen was amazing! Nice guy and a great drummer.
Love me some Heep to this day.
Omg wait until you hear ' July morning and Salisbury ' by this band. Epic is an understatement
I was a big fan of Uriah Heep back in the seventies. Drummer Lee Kerslake and keyboardist Ken Hensley. Both passed not so long ago.
RIP to my brothas
Lee was a hoot!! We were heading to a gig in Phoenix with Mick and Bob Daisley in my '79 t-top Thunderbird. We were following the tour bus and got pulled over outside of Tucson going 120 in an 80. Lee was laughing the whole time and asked the cop how much the ticket was going to cost me, $200, Lee reached in his pocket, gave me the money and said let's roll. We had lost the tour bus and nobody knew where the gig was let alone the hotel, so we pulled over at a phone booth ( no cell phones then) Mick called his management in England and was able to get the name of the hotel and venue. We made it to the hotel in time to freshen up and head out for the sound check!! Close call!!!!
I have heard Ur-eye- ah Heep through out my life on the radio, but one day this song came on and I actually listened to it, and this was how I found Uriah Heep myself They have lots of great albums that feature different band members, This was the original cast of band members and David Byron was the singer... Who passed way to early.... He sure could sing! I am Glad you found happiness in a song the same way I did!
Nice to see you connecting to the fantastic voice of David Byron like that.
Man, this band is really good. I gotta dive into some more. Thanks!
Nice comment. "Pilgrim" from the same album (Sweet Freedom) is a real gem. Cheerio lass.
Omg, I used to have this album! Great reaction put a big smile on my face and cheered me up!!👍👍👍😊
"Paradise/The Spell" from their Demons & Wizards album is a must listen!
Exactly !
One of the first rockband I heard back in '72. Love their albums in the first of the seventees.
FYI: Uriah Heep is pronounced, YOU-RYE-YA HEEP. I am glad you liked them. You will have great time for your Uriah Help experience, you will find many that you will love! And I, will be reliving my first time hearing them vicariously through watching your experience. So, before hand, I would like to thank you for sharing your experiences with all us!
Nice to see you like it. ♥️He died a few years later. So sad. He couldn't sing after wonderworld. But listen to Salisbury.. Their second album. The title track is weired, but from Heaven. ♥️
Good to see it made you happy.
The "i" in Uriah sounds like "eye", though, not like "ee". Or "Uriah rhymes with fire"? (Band was named after a character in a Charles Dickens novel, and the character would've been named for Uriah the Hittite, whose wife, Bathsheba, David, King of Israel wanted for himself, and so sent Uriah into battle on a mission he couldn't survive - which almost fits with the song? ...
Hot dayum, a sister that loves Heep! 16k subs and under 1k views. We've got to get that number up. One suggestion , please don't keep stopping the song.
URIAH HEEP, "STEALNG" more... "MAGICIAN'S BIRTHDAY", "SUNRISE", "SWEET LORAINE", "SPIDER WOMAN", "EASY LIVING", "THE WIZARD".

Easy Livin' is a super rocker
Listen to Gypsy off Uriah Heep Live. It cranks.
Mick Box the guitar player is still amazing and Uriah Heep have a new album just come out called Color and Chaos, no original guys but Mick but the album still rocks, consider trying something from that album.
One of their best in my opinion.
It is enunciated You Ryah heep! Saw them live many times!
One of the greatest singers ever.

Sitting in a tent in a national forest. 5 of us singing this. Oh so lit. Tornado came over yanked the tent straight up in the air. No more jam

The Salisbury album, Look at Your Self album, every tune is plasma.
How come nobody knows how to say you're right a heap nobody can say it😅😅😅😅😅😅
Somebody needs to ask a white person ask of why older white guy they'll tell you You're right. I'll tell you how to prepare. White people know.😅😅😅😅
Don't be scared, be prepared. The sad part, wine and those women did take him to an early grave. Such talent. Yeah. Peace
I've known this band and all it's members since I was 14, I'm 61 now, I'll let you do the math. I still jam with the son of the founding member and guitarist Mick Box on occasion.
I have word that they will be touring the US next year.

Binary Star- Honest Expression
SWEET JESUS!!! STOP PAUSING THE SONG SO MANY TIMES!! YOUR KILLING THE FLOW OF A CLASSIC ROCKER!!! COMMENTS SHOULD BE DONE AFTERWARDS!!!
Your EYE uh Heep
The bands name, was taken from a Charles Dickens character, from the story, David Copperfield. My 1st concert that I ever went to, back in August of '73 (The "Sweet Freedom" tour). Sadly after Byron, Kerslake, Thain, and Hensley died, Mick Box is the "sole survivor" of the band. Personally, I consider the song "Salisbury", one of their worst songs. Heep did not sound good with an orchestra backing them. The rest of that album is good.
