Most satisfying tone for general use i have heard from one of these so far. Almost too good, only in the sense that Soldo has so successfully refined the instrument's sound that it becomes less distinct from other instruments in its family, as compared to the more traditional, thinner, less stable tone.
Hi joshudog! Could you PLEASE tell what sort of tarogato Dino ist playing? There are so many outside there... It´s clear, that 90 percent of the great sound comes from Dino himself, (and at last 5 percent of the mouthpiece...) but it would be fantastic for me to know in which kind of model or company he trusts... and also interesting about the mouthpiece... Anyway! Thanx for your time! And thanx for posting this! All the best, Christopher
Christopher Herrmann find the most "open" feeling horn and practice with a tuner. It could be stowasser or a timis. It doesn't matter. They are all challenging and have their limitations. Happy hunting.
Such an amazing timbre, somewhere between the soprano sax, alto sax, and English horn
My feeling exactly
and a bit of bassoon
Really excellent playing -- hats off!
I play soprano sax, but now I am feeling lust for the tarogato.

Wow!! Thank you so much!
Beautiful Sound!

THANX DINO! Greets from a german cellist. I´ll give my very best ;-)
Assimila muito com o som de sax soprano.Tarogato has the approximate timbre of the soprano sax!
Anyone know where I could get one? It's a beautiful sound!
Sounds very much like a sax
