Your original composition and your playing/phrasing are utterly charming and amazing. I thank you my Brother.

I'd love to get a tarogato one day. Such an interesting instrument, sounds like a cross between a soprano saxophone and an english horn. I love its calm, warm, pastoral sound.

Today I discovered what a tarogato is & it's origins. I got here by listening to "Which Way Is East" by Charles Lloyd & Billy Higgins. Thank you gentlemen. The music on this album is so relaxing. I reccommend it to all pandemic suffers.

I love Charles Lloyd. A master of the tenor, alto flute, and Tarogato.

I first got turned on to Charles Lloyd back in the summer of 1972. Jim Morrison died. The remaining members of The Doors released an album entitled "Other Voices", which I truly liked. The Schaffer Beer Company sponcered a summer concert series which was held at The Wollman Rink in Central Park, NYC from 1967 to 1976. The Morrison-less Doors headlined one of the shows in 1972. The band was outstanding but their music improved immensely when Chales Lloyd was introduced as aguest. Lloyd's sax & flute solos gave the group a jazzy sound which was great. The four musicians jammed for two hours. This performance remains one of my favorite musical events of my life. I never had the privledge of seeing the tremendous musician in concert ever again but his music has been huge part of my life for over 50 years.
"The Sky Will Still Be There Tomorrow" is his new album. I highly recommend it.✌️

@@josephlemko3027 Lloyd is an amazing musician very adept in all genres. Did you know he played on a few albums with The Beach Boys? I have almost all his CD’s and some vinyl albums! I saw him in this very obscure, non jazz club in a restaurant in NYC in 2009 or 2010. If I recall, it was on the lower west side. It was an amazing performance and he played tenor, alto flute, and I think tarogato, too. Remember his sabbatical in Big Sur? He’s played with all the greatest. He is a very spiritual person and musician. ✌️

@@robertp2934: It has been a long time since I have communicated with a fan of this incrediable musician. I am aware that Lloyd collalorated with The Beach Boys. On Lloyd's 1972 Album"Waves" 3 members of the Calfornia group sang on two cuts. Roger McGuinn played 12 -string on the title track. "WAVES" was the 1st Lloyd album I bought. This happened a week after The Doors concert at Central Park in which Lloyd 's musicianship helped to make successful.( MY OPINION✌️🤗)

    My Dearest Brother,
Yea though I once again listen to and meditate upon your heavenly musical masterpiece I Know that you will compose the remaining five compositions which when completed will be the “Six Suites For Solo Tarogato” which shall be the Tarogato equivalent of Johan Sebastian Bach’s “Six Suites For Solo Cello”. You have planted the tiny seed which has sprouted. Do not stop composing now! For Heaven itself has presented this theme to you. Please complete your masterpiece. Perhaps a symphonic poem as is the case of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scherazade (Шехерезада) might be considered.
You have much work to complete this “Song Offering”
Perhaps it could be entitled “Gitanjali” (गीतांजि) after the literary masterpiece of the Bengali poet Ravindranath Tagore. (Gitanjali is the name of my late daughter). It translates from the Bengali word meaning “A Song Offering”. Continue in Peace my Friend.
May the LORD GOD bless and keep you. May HE shine HIS countenance upon you. And May HE grant you Peace.
That piece that this broken world cannot give.
    B’Shem YESHUAHAMASHIACH.

My dearest brother, thank you for your comment. The tarogato is a musical instrument that I love very much even if it is not my only instrument. I accept your invitation with great pleasure and I promise that I will soon complete the cycle of the six suites.

Thank you for this melody :) May I ask what kind of "system" this tarogato uses? The Albert System?
