'I've been playing these types of venues since the early 70's from NJ to Dutch Harbor, AK. Sometimes to a few and sometimes they make you feel like a hero. I still love it. You guys have fun!

Played there with Eek-a-mouse many moons ago……cool room! I think I was there with Buddy Miles as well but we did several Aspen shows through the years.
The Belly Up can seat 450 people for all shows unless it is a seated show, then it can seat 325 people. The Belly Up is listed by Rolling Stone magazine as one of, "THE BEST CLUBS IN AMERICA" .
I like small venues and even 350 is overgrown for me; I am not profitable model for the live music business. If all working musicians and artists were to be compensated and cared for like good garden, we might all be better served.
Another great video Lee and thank you again for the walk and the smiles on a day that life seems to want to send its struggles whilst nobody seems to be around. I am quite sure I am not the only one like this but I know there are plenty of people here who appreciate all you do to share a brilliant life and that includes me. This is great.🙏🙃

Hi Leland! So nice to see Aspen! Very nice Bellyup venue!!! I do like that size….so intimate…kind of a nice change from the huge concert halls….Have so many memories of that area…Used to camp up on the mountain…overlooking the town and the Ski slopes…really a rough 4x4 path up the hill but ,the view at night was amazing…
Would set my tent up…or weather permitting,just lay my sleeping bag next to the campfire……the stars and night skiing was like a whole nuther world….I believe now it’s all built up over there….so can’t camp anymore…was my secret little place back in those days…on my way driving from LA to the east coast……. So broke back then…..couldn’t afford to stay in the village…but no problem…. Ha!!! Wow!! 1978?…’79….there was a gate to open to drive up there….never had any problems in those days……saw deer,and all kind of critters up there…..so cool.
❤….but the views at night were fantastic…😊 sending you all many blessings…man that was a long drive from Iowa…..phew!!! Those mountains….Love it up there….🤠🌹🪷🌹🪷🌹🪷💐🌺🌸🖕🖕🖕🖕👍🎶🎵🪬{{{{{{❤️}}}}}}

Lee, I have to say that it is very cool getting a tour of these historic venues. I being legally-blind would never be able to get around any of these locations. Anymore that is.
Just in case anyone wants to know what the static noise is for, it's a pink noise generator that allows for the quick and easy EQ of the room.
It's way more accurate and much faster than doing it by ear.

My name artemis sidecross is no longer allowed by CZcams without a ‘space’. I first used sidecross, but was not happy with it; I will now be using Xsidecross, but with an added definition here of its origin.
As a first-born American, my maternal grandfather and family came to America a fugitive after being shot in the back and being left for dead. He spoke no English nor could he read or write the language and signed his name with a ‘X’.
With the knowledge of Perspective, a Greek Fifth Century B.C. understanding combined with Italian 15th Century Art we developed the ‘one point perspective’ we are familiar with today.
With these two notes of fact my grandfather’s signature as ‘X’ while combined with the Modernity of Art, the ‘X’ can now be seen as a primitive ‘cross’ as seen from the side with a concept of modern perspective, or seen as a ‘sidecross’ or more directly now Xsidecross.
I am very particular about my name and my first name ‘artemis’ is another story. 😉

The venues are so diverse one from another, going from a big theater like yesterday's, to a tiny little intimate room like this one. Thought, I think this is goin to be a lot of fun, just by the proximity of the audience.

Between the wind, jack hammer and white noise calibrations I’m starting to fully appreciate how stereophonic the 14 is! Looks like a tight room for a large ensemble but I hope you have a great gig.

Didnt encounter the sweet notes driting from the sax warming up with the new silver parts. Maybe he found a spot somewhere. I had thought the ‘Box’ for Box Office referred to a strong box where monies were kept safe.

Lee how are you able to make money in small venues like this? It seems like it would be a total loss financially. Just the overhead involved.

Some film makers today are using the 14 MaxPro for their film production. Their capability would make the pioneers of cinema-verite in the 60’s using 16mm film pine on what they might have done. 😉
