My heart aches at that very statement.
I was watching my friend play through his stream. I counted 10 mobs killed to increase by 0.01%. He's level 222 and he started in March.
Back then I counted at least 20 to increase by 0.01% at level 120.

You forgot to mention the event buff that stacks whenever you kill a certain amount of monsters and stacks! So you had 100% from exp maple leaf, like ~70% from the event buff, runes every once in a while, 20% mercedes, 10% extra from event, 200% from burning, a whopping 400%!

Mobility of the dual blade is nice but not as quick as the cadena. I just got back into the game about a month or two ago. I used to main a dexless assassin in 06 and lost that account. I now main the cadena but just finished leveling my dual blade to 190. Cadena is definitely my favorite thief class but dual blade is pretty nutty too and addicting. It’s nice not having to cycle through all the skills all the timez

I main a DB and i really wish there was a way to get a hold of the blood mask on reboot. It's not as good as having the boss accessories i know, but the mask was so important to what DB's are and it feels weird not having one.
Leveling up is so quick all the OG PQs like kerning city or ludi or even orbis are redundant now...

You do the scrapyard pre-quest when you reach 50% EXP at level 199. The pre-q should give the other 50% xp

Back in the pre big bang days if you would have told me that people would be getting from level 1 to 200 in just 3 hours legitly in the future, then I would have been shocked. It took me hundreds if not 1,000+ hours to get my first level 200, a FP, back in the days of spamming meteor shower at Newties solo, or skeles if my Bishop buddies were on. You got to 200 faster than it took me to gain 10% at lv 19x in the pre big bang days.

Still good experience! U can build link character for link skill to make ur main stronger! It doesn’t cost mesos! It is my day 24, i having 700k att range 206lvl dual blade i am f2p!

@@razsup4307 Demon Avenger, Kanna, Xenon, Demon Slayer, Ark, Hayato, Luminous, Cadena, Resistance (stacks of Spirit of freedom), Explorer mage classes (stack), kinesis and explorer bowman classes (stack) and then to train all of them above, recommend that you have to train Aran, Evan and Mercedes for Experience link skill first. Then all those above will be much easier to train. One by one day by day. It’s all bout progression. Goodluck pal

the big blue book its frenzy totem item, u can buy one from cash shop with 1800 reward points and it last for 2 hours. Kanna also have a skill that have the same effect as the totem tho

No those are free. You can increase your legion by training characters
I main DB and all i can say is that people that say DB's mobbing is weak, probably never tried it at it's full potential. It's not a boring character AT ALL, has links between skills, has a ton of damage, has 2 5th job skills that can clear the entire map with less than 10 sec cooldown and 1 4th job skill with 30 sec cooldown. Overall lacks buffs but cmon, if it had more buffs you'ld need a keyboard with twice more keys.
@@peterhomesounds6569 I just hit 200 a couple days ago and 4th vs 5th mobbing is like a completely different world. Not sure how other classes feel compared to DB, but honestly I can't complain at ALL about the mobbing now.
@@peterhomesounds6569 im 236 and i have all other classes lvl 200 except for illium and marksman, which are lvl 140 (didn't have the patience to level them to 200). It is true that DB's mobbing is not awesome compared to adele or lumi, or even ice/lightning mage, but in a scale from 1 to 10, i would rate it a solid 6 while i've seen the majority of people rate it between 2 and 3. Overall the bossing is tremendously powerfull, but in terms of mobbing you just gotta choose the map that most adequates to the class. I may say that both CLP and MTS2 are excelent maps (haven't tried beyond esfera cause im 236 ).
peterhomesounds dual blade rates are not bad at all. If you want I can dm you screenshots of my rates training 250+ on db. For example, I was making 110b exp/hr at radiant temple with no exp event. During rank A surge, I managed to hit to 210b exp/hr at labyrinth of suffering. From what I gathered, these are pretty above average exp rates. Not amazing by any means (especially compared to what shadowers and night lords can pull), but it's definitely not something I’d consider bad. I averaged 50-60% per surge in the 250's.
peterhomesounds with frenzy spawn, I can understand arguments that db's are bad mobbers. They thrive in bigger maps (which shine under the slower spawn conditions of Kishin/wild totems). It also happens that some of the best maps to 275 in the game are larger maps.
Why does he use lumi link skill? I thought ied was mainly helpful for just bossing and not mobbing

Shadower is way better at mobbing. When not too funded, the gap isn’t that big. But at super high levels of funding, shadower blows dual blade out of the water once meso explosion approaches 2 shot territory.
Mobility wise it's shadower. They have a better flash jump, 4 instant directional reposition every minute, an ability to teleport to a mob, another teleport that also acts as an . Also can’t forget phase dash. Dual blades mainly use blade ascension to gain a bit of altitude in the air. Tornado spin is similar to phase dash. Flying assaulter is mainly used for landing on platforms or comboing out of blade ascension.
Bossing wise, dual blades destroy shadowers (and pretty much almost every other class in the game except Adele). They have more burst, easier survivability, more lines, more consistent damage, easier damage patterns.
So pros of shadowers compared to dual blade:
-Better mobber
-more mobile
Pros of dual blades over shadower:
-better bossing
In my opinion both are very, very solid classes. While dual blades are the better bosses, and shadowers are the better mobber it doesn’t mean you can’t mob on dual blade (it's not bad after fifth job) and it doesn’t mean shadowers can’t boss (they’re actually still a pretty good bosses). Both are pretty agile and have tools to traverse maps and dodge boss mechanics. Play what you enjoy and you can easily use open job advancement to switch between the two in order to cover up the weaknesses that each one have.

@@los4997 Actually, as a main DB myself, i find sweetwater katara way better since it gives you 30% boss damage and 10% ied like the fafnir weapon, you lose a bit of Luk but for bosses %boss damage and %ied are more usefull

I'm doing all quest for now..
Best thing to do at this point is just take it at your own pace, join a nice community guild, do quests and if you're into it get to the lore of the game! also the built in maple guide is really good to use if you're not sure what to do next (hotkey: U iirc)
Choose what ever class you think might be fun to start with, if you dont enjoy it you can easily switch it up, as the game mechanics reward you for playing all the many classes it has to offer with the legion and link skills systems! (So you never really waste your time playing a certain class)
Reach out to stronger players, the community in ms is quite amazing!
Use the events as soon as you can! These events are catered for new and old players alike and will help you get started with exp events, items to make you stronger and upgrades for your gear. Sometimes even free cosmetics, because it's fashion story after all.
