i've been watching canada videos for a couple years now and i have noticed: Rarely any cop cars. Basically the whole nation. Secondly very, very few homeless. Even in Vancouver they are "contained." Beautiful. Lol

Hazel McCallion was the best mayor that a city could ever ask for when it comes to leadership and taking care of the citizens of Mississauga Ontario.
Back in the 80's my dad called to complain about a pot hole to the roads department....the next day Hazel called my dad personally to apologize and it was fixed within a week. LOL
That wasn't really Hazel's doing. MIssissauga was just well-located to grow as big and as early as it did relative to other GTA suburbs. She just was in office during the right time.

Not too many of these beautiful buildings were build at the time. Some people might like them and some don’t … . Anyway I was also not into politics. But I remember my young daughter at the time came home from school one day and was telling me about our mayor Hazel McCallion and I was intrigued to listen to my daughter explaining stuff about our mayor . Anyway I love Mississauga .it has many beautiful things to see and do/visit . My forever favourite city

Edmonton, Calgary, and Winnipeg have had very smoky skies due to the wildfires to the north of them. Many of the wildfires that happen up that far north are so remote, that they are allowed to burn themselves out.
I too noticed that in general things in Canada look more "orderly" than in the US. I think it's because there is more emphasis on zoning and town planning. In the US, especially in the South, you have a lot of freedom to build whatever you want and it gives towns a jumbled, random appearance. I don't think Americans realize that the cost of living in Canada is higher, and overall, incomes are less. Property values in the Toronto area are very high. The exchange rate between the currencies makes things look cheaper for Americans.
Incomes on average are higher in certain jobs, just their (Canadians) take home is less due to higher payroll taxes, depending of course on what State you are comparing it too. My take home Salary in Calgary was higher than it was in Minneapolis due to lower taxes in Alberta.
You think mississauga is orderly? This "city" was poorly planned. Villages distanced from each other so they filled it with stroads, strip malls, and boring copy past houses.
It looks so clean and yes the drivers are courteous, not like here in Florida. I bet the Mississauga Wal Mart shopping carts did not have any flat tires!

When you visit the Northwest - Washington, Oregon and Northern California, the redwood area. Theres a tree you drive through, close to Eureka. You should visit British Columbia- Vancouver. A European style city and real pretty, mountains in the background. There might be moose around in BC.

It's funny I live in BC (western Canada) and I generally find people more chill on the roads in the US (except LA maybe ;) ) I think it has to do with being on vacation

However, you use you horn and yell at them because they are not supposed to stop like that in the middle of the road blocking traffic, you can call the cops and have that guy arrested. Yes people walk more in Canada because they got priority when crossing a road. Technically you're supposed to wait until the pedestrian has finished crossing and is safely on the side walk before you proceed. Most cops would just give you a warning. If you came close enough that you could hit the pedestrian should they take a step back, a ticket is likely. In Canada, cops are completely funded by taxes, and don't get anything from giving tickets. It's just more paperwork for them, so they generally only give tickets if you actually deserve it. There is always a chance you get a cop who is an a**hole though.

Grass is always greener on the other side as the saying goes. Every place has its pros and cons and it's up to a resident to tell their experience. What's good or bad could be same or different to what you like. For me, this place looks like a movie set for some sci-fi Stepford Wives or even Handmaid's Tale. Industrialized creepy asthetics with no greenery.
Fun fact: The reason the US drives on the right side of the road is because most of what is now the US used to be land owned by France with already existing roads and the French drive on the right. And since Americans don't like to fix what isn't broken they stuck with it. As for Canada its the same story. I know English say they drive in the left because they are gentlemen's and some crap but as i French man myself i know the truth: English just hates everything French and they didn't want to be like us. Florida is way better than Toronto....Warm weather, palm trees, cheaper housing, cheaper land, tropical beaches, more attactions, hotter women. If i were to live in Canada i would want to live by the mountains for snowboarding. So Vancouver for sure! Vancouver is close the the mountains and also surrounded by water! It beats Toronto.
The women are hotter and much thinner in Toronto than Florida my friend. Canadian women ar emuch thinner than American women overall as well. In Toronto you can date women from all over the world as well.

@@daniellat5763no its you thats needs to go out more often at night. Tho i will admit the last 5 years were warmer then usual. And it was even colder in the 1990s, especially the 1998/1999 winter, that one was brutal. Was the big natural disaster in Canada's history and i lived through it.
@@tusk3260 I go out all the time & I know a lot about weather. Toronto area is never -40. You can go to environment Canada and find weather statistics. It’s never been -40 once in the history of this area

Grass is always greener on the other side as the saying goes. Every place has its pros and cons and it's up to a resident to tell their experience. What's good or bad could be same or different to what you like. For me, this place looks like a movie set for some sci-fi Stepford Wives or even Handmaid's Tale. Industrialized creepy asthetics with no greenery.

Fun fact: The reason the US drives on the right side of the road is because most of what is now the US used to be land owned by France with already existing roads and the French drive on the right. And since Americans don't like to fix what isn't broken they stuck with it. As for Canada its the same story. I know English say they drive in the left because they are gentlemen's and some crap but as i French man myself i know the truth: English just hates everything French and they didn't want to be like us. Other fun fact: France has had roads since near a thousand years before the first english road was builft.

Florida is way better than Toronto....Warm weather, palm trees, cheaper housing, cheaper land, tropical beaches, more attactions, hotter women. If i were to live in Canada i would want to live by the mountains for snowboarding. So Vancouver for sure! Vancouver is close the the mountains and also surrounded by water! It beats Toronto.
The women are hotter and much thinner in Toronto than Florida my friend. Canadian women ar emuch thinner than American women overall as well. In Toronto you can date women from all over the world as well.

Toronto or Mississauga do not define Canada but more USA, and USA car culture , the city is built for cars and high ways , very polluted city of Toronto and does not care about climate change , no sense of community , 50 % asian ( China and India ) ... pollution ( Co2) , highest crime rates in CAnada ( STatistics Canada) , the 10 most dangerous cities in Canada are in Toronto ( Brampton, HAmilton, Ste CAtherines, Oshawa, London , Missisauga ) and Vancouver ( Surrey ) people get killed in the public transports , more than 30, 000 homeless sleep on the streets in Toronto and VAncouver , drug addicts and people are rude and no CAnadian values ..... they also only speak english , Canada has 2 official languages ( racists people )
