@37:00 people are heading “out“ of the center city to go home in the suburbs. Florida is backwards where there is heavy traffic going into the major city during the afternoon rush-hour instead of out of the city like every place else.

You're spot on about the better infrastructure. I've driven the QEW from Niagara to the outskirts of Toronto and the 401 north to Barrie and the roads are much better than PA and NY. Also I liked the service plazas. The only difference was speed limits and distances were in kilometers, everything is bilingual English/French and gas is more expensive.

If you want to see a moose, just drive on Highway 11 north of Toronto until you get to the international crossing to interstate 75 in northern Michigan. It’s about a 7 hour drive but it gives you a great rural Canadian experience.

Just a hint for U.S drivers in Canada. I don't know about other Provence's but in Ontario ,if you are driving on a "Freeway" (a road that does not have traffic lights) like the one these folks are driving on, you can drive about 20 km an hour above the speed limit and the police will not pull you over unless you are driving aggressively ie: weaving in and of traffic. The 400 series highways usually have speeds posted as 100km so when safe to do so you can go 119 km an hour and avoid a ticket. On smaller roads where the limit is 80 km per hour you would go about 99 km per hour. If you are caught going 50 km over the speed limit anywhere, your car will be impounded & towed (on the spot), and you will be charged with speed racing.

Once again a Canadian comment. Your explanation of how Toronto got it's name is new to me? The name Toronto is derived from the Mohawk word tkaronto which means "where there are trees standing in the water. I don't think anyone broke their toe!!

We don't actually call it the Toronto Metropolitan Area. We refer to it as the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) is the true GTA. Rockstar GTA missed an opportunity, for their video game GTA VI. Since Toronto is the GTA, and we are also known as the 6. When I drive and I see a plate that is from out of town, I normally give them a little more patient and give them space as they are not around from the area.

As far as I am concerned your Canada trip is the best driving blog on CZcams. You guys motivated me to get my passport. On your next trip I think you should visit Winnipeg as well as revisiting Toronto and Montreal. You should make it a hockey trip and check out some hockey games. Hockey is the NFL of Canada and would be worth it to see a game in Canada. This would definitely have to be later in the spring when the snow has melted because I doubt you would want to drive in the Canadian snow. A cross Canadian trip all the way out to Vancouver would also be cool but I don't how cost effective it would be to drive all the way out there. Anyways keep up the good work because this series is definitely informative and unique. Canada has its issues but it beats the hell out of my city Jacksonville.

    "Canadian drivers aren't bad"
Ok, sure, when compared to lots (not all) American drivers. I've driven or have been driven in Boston, NYC to Long Island, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Ft Lauderdale. One thing I notice is the lack of acknowledgment by other drivers when I say give ROW, let people in, etc. I always hand wave or double flash my 4 ways when someone does for me. But I will say that Toronto has some very ignorant drivers (I dashcam and post them on CZcams). But from what I've seen, Vancouver and surrounding area takes the cake for the worst drivers in Canada

You are not going to see moose in southern Ontario, there are no forests down there, it is all farmland once you get off the highway or out of the cities. You might see some deer in the rural areas where there are are lots of farms, but you wont see any moose, or bears until you are north of Toronto, past Barrie.
The big difference Americans will notice when coming into Canada, it's cleaner here and you wont see a bunch of boarded up buildings. I lived in southern Ontario for several years. Everyone pronounces Toronto differently. Even people in Toronto say it differently, like Teranto. As for Drake stuff, no one cares. Hell, I couldn't name a single song from him. No one is going to care where you are from if you get mugged, but the probability of getting mugged is almost zero chance in hell. Don't hang out in back allies, or sketchy bars and you will never have to worry about crime. I don't know why someone would come all the way from Florida and come to Canada and expect Cuban food. There are very few Spanish type restaurants in Canada. We don't have a lot of Latin people. I have no clue what he is talking about regarding prisons. He was no where near a prison. I don't know why someone would come to Canada in May, that is black fly and mosquito time and the water is still cold and nothing to do. If you come to Canada, come in July or August when its hot and you can go to the beaches and parks and enjoy many different festivals. You have to go to Wonderland and Niagara Falls. You are not going to see too many Americans driving around, especially at that time of the year. A lot of Americans come to Canada and go up north to hunt bears for the spring bear hunt, or in the fall when hunting for bears opens again and they can also fish. But that is up north in Sudbury and areas like that.
Any whoo, I hope you enjoy you time in Canada.

That’s not true we have large populations of Latinos in Toronto especially Mexicans and Colombians . Montreal has one of the hugest latino populations of all Canada including Caribbean nations that are Hispanic .

True, the US doesn't do everything perfectly. We tend to neglect funding cities (Republicans) compared to other countries. Where Southern life is now is actually the most developed part of Canada (Southern Ontario)

Canada after 1860 was built by Canadians. English-speaking Canadians trace their roots to the United States before the Revolution against the English. Americans who did not want to rebel moved north across the border into British Canada.

Subways clean and safe. Multicultural society on 3rd generation. Everyone has a union. You don't really understand Canada.

@ATXDesign Universal healthcare yes, but when Canadians cannot treat a patient, that patient is sent across the border to the US for treatment.
Ontario infrastructure is paid in part by a favorable trade deal with the US. Furthermore Canada doesn't pay for its defense like it's supposed, rather relying on the US security umbrella. Those savings are re-invested in social programs in Canada
