Worst hoods in Canada are in the prairies cities like Winnipeg. Crime rate there is high even for US standards. On Main street in the north end area, theres been a dozen homicides since last year all happening on half a mile stretch, 3 happened since january on the same corner. Its rough out there

Canada is a good place to live. The problem is that the weather can be extremely harsh, and the cost of living extremely expensive. Taxes are very high compared to the U.S. and the cost of a small home in Toronto is comparable to a mansion in the south. No exaggeration. Glad you guys are enjoying it!

    • @Elchampolinbellacado

Yes even as Canadians it’s so crazy to see the value of a home within a 200 km radius in the other side of the border for nearly 3x less than the average house of a Canadian . A basic house in Toronto can be 800k and then go to upstate New York you can get the same quality for 400k

There is crime in Toronto and in the suburbs as well , the difference is frequency and population …. Canada has a much smaller population than US so comparisons are going to be very different . Canada is more socialist than US which means there are more support system for people in need , we pay much higher taxes to support all those systems .

Oshawa is a City on it's own under the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The area that you highlighted is one of the least desirable however that area also has some nice safe neighbourhoods in it. As for lighting, the electricity in Ontario is very expensive but the cost goes down at 7p.m. After that time you will see more houses lit up. It's a rare sight to see "gangs" hanging around anywhere here because the crime in Oshawa is relatively low.

In fact it felt great on Young Street near their similar Times. Square not worrying about a mass shooting because of all of the people gathered around. That same week, Canada had one of its worse mass stabbings. I think 10 people were stabbed.

Anyway, you were on my street in my block and 10 houses away. I'm telling you, we got problems...
You are not going to see it all like that, though. You can see it from the streets, the police can too. Frig the city even pays security to subsidize the understaffed police. The real problems are a few steps from the block you're driving in. You gotta get outta the car though...😮 I know😮😮😮 but really. Any local people could have been a great contribution to what you were looking for. Trust me, it's everywhere here. Ffs my landscaping has been stolen by the homeless. Lol, people are losing their Xmas decorations and recycling box garbage 😂. Yeah, you can get stabbed or shot here without trying too hard if you're still looking for some fun! You drove by my old house. It's funny in that neighborhood growing up, one apartment building had people dealing crack out of it, so did the other one and across the street: there was another den and you also went by the little plaza where the bar Park place was (or is) I haven't bene there in 15 years. Across the street from there, there was a bar called The Bald Monkey and that plaza is was also close to a Daycare centre-it had all the weirdly painted sesame street characters on the walls. In the plaza, there was also an adult video store and sex shop and what used to be called Mack's Milk, before it was bought out by Circle K, which was operated by a family essentially (in my opinion: the nicest person there was a woman named Farah. There was also a fish & chips place down in that area, which I used to go to for lunch a lot. Best Halibit in the city. One time I went in there and the owner Paul, gave me lunch for free. All he asked me to do was tell people about his shop. Good dude. I saw you guy by the Wentworth intersection: I almost got hit there when I was 15 years old. That area you were touring around in, was also a Red Light District and I saw you go down Oxford. My Grandparents lived there and later: my aunt. It was a nice place to visit, but if you didn't live there, some folks didn't take too kindlly to people hangin' around in there. Me and some people used to play hockey and sometimes basketball in the court back there. I did know people that were held up in that area, got beaten up, mugged. I've even had a gun pulled on me. One time, people got arrested right out front of the house. It had it's ups and downs, but it's where I grew up LOL

Neighbors help each other and quite a few have lived here 20 plus years without issue.

I much prefer your videos over Charlieboi by a mile, you're not promoting the hood gangster aspect as much like its something to be proud of like some of the others.
As far as Toronto I'd say Kingston road in Scarborough is a run down dangerous area where a street gang resides (Galloway boys) and its generally an area full of motels where prostitution takes place and drug dealing, the other area is West Toronto specifically Jane and Finch and Rexdale but again imo most of the homicides gang related take place in Scarborough where Kingston road is located a lot of people try to deny this but whenever there's a homicide or shooting it tends to be Scarborough most of the times so that's where I would focus on if you're looking for a run down high crime area.
