Benjamin Preston: Here's the problem with your "advice": Just because you hate your job and are looking for a new one is no guarantee that you'll ever receive a new offer. People are stuck in dead end jobs for a reason, or reasons, and usually it's because they're unskilled, or their job duties are proprietary and won't transfer well to other organizations, or the kind of work they do isn't in demand by other employers. A word to the wise, in other words, the Great Unwashed: if you're in a workplace in which illegal goings-on are obvious, those goings-on are part of the organization's culture and probably have a history that pre-dates your employment. (Don't expect a rabbi to manage a mob-owned deli.) Finally, finding a new job is full-time work in itself. Are you SURE you want to expend your energy just because you're unhappy where you are? Unless you're an astronaut, a movie star, a corporate attorney or a physician, your job will, by its nature, SUCK. No matter where you work. And the less education you have, the MORE your job will suck. (Do you actually think fruit pickers have advanced degrees in nuclear thermodynamics or from the Harvard School of Business?) Most of you reading this are probably "qualified" to work at McDonald's, and even THAT is iffy, because nine times out of nine you're here illegally anyway.

When you start feeling your walking on eggshells especially at work and disenchanted it's time to leave.😊

Totally, trust me on that. Then, you may come home and without, knowing it, take it out on your family and friends.

Thankyou for mentioning observing illegal things happening at work. This is an important one.

Had all of them happen to me, accept the illegal thing. I had to leave. I got a hernia, too. Got disability, afterwards I just quit. I found out half of my coworkers, did too.

Boss suddenly doesn't like me any more. Gives me tasks with limited information or actual lack of it. Then rush me to do the task ans then blame me for missing something he wanted that I had addressed. Like in a rude manner. I don't get feedback anymore. I am abusing medication (to calm me down) and alcohol. My anxiety medication is currently maxed in dose etc. This feels pretty bad

Why i left my job 2 months in. They have s hugh staff turnover.
    - employees are not appreciated for their work. Employees are treated like they are machines.
    - micromanagement
    - you will be given your first tasks without proper guidance.
    - disorganised company processes and no respect for process.
    - lack of respect for data protection.
    - harassment.
    - lack of cooperation from other workers to get things done.
    - total LACK of humility; respect and decent values towards staff by Superiors. They care only about the residents.
    - high workload
    - unreasonable timescale to deliver tasks.
In summary, a structurless; chaotic; disorganised; dysfunctional and disgusting entity.

Just an add on, when rules apply to certain employees but not others.

Sometimes it's so bad you can't always have an exit plan and you just need to get out for your mental health and stop any more psychological damage.

Speaking for myself even if I was offered a couple more dollars an hour I would stay where I'm at if I feel I am still treated decently because there is no guarantee of that at the new company.

If you work for Comcast/Xfinity, you should quit now.

Have a back up before you leave. Worse case if fired you can still collect unemployment. If you quit you can't. That's why always be prepared.

If you can show the unemployment agency you quit because of a hostile, toxic environment you can collect because I did.
