  • This is a breif video comparing the different light outputs you can expect when using the Sundrop 3S and the Surefire Backup. They each have their advantages and both are really usefull lights. I hope this is helpfull and you enjoy.

wow, this was a really good video. It really made me feal better about my recent purchase of a fenix PD30. i was worried that it would not throw far enough and that it was too floody. this video showed me the importances of a good floody light.

I've got to pick me up a Sundrop.
If only they weren't so expensive...

This is a great video!!! Now I know that neither of these lights would work for me, unless I had both at the sane time. I'll just keep using my Malkoff MD2.

Wow man, the sun drop is sweet, really like the "playing god" comment, good stuff man.
E1B is a high of 80 lum, with a low of 5 right?
    Sweet little lights man.

I'm dying to see the diffuser that surefire makes compared to the floody sundrop.

In case you're still interested 15 years after asking the question, the song is "Beautiful Life" by Gui Boratto lol

How low does the low mode go for the Sundrop. It's really sweet, looking for a floody tasklight.

Fantastic 2 light set-up there! Price wise, though, I guess you get what you can pay for. ;-( For now, will have stick with Zebras and low budget, Hi CR Nichia builds.

I think everytime I see the sundrop, I cry a little. I'm a dry flashaholic, trying to make my limited funds count. What do you think? Sundrop? .2 lumen of 4Seven's Quark? Want a flooder for reading and finding (high RDI if I can), don't mind something being able to do both but prefer flooder at the expense of thrower. As a reference point, I jumped straight to a Centofante 3 from a LM Juice S2 (gift) and going to get a Sebenza small with Micarta when I have enough saved to upgrade urban EDC. PM?

Thanks man... this was a very informative video and a very nice comparison. I had a ton of questions concerning the McClickie paks, and the Sundrop. So McClickie paks don't have heads is that correct. I already own a E1 Backup

SunDrop is Far superior... SunDrop has 3 Levels, Higher Max Output with (IMHO) a better flood beam... And of course the High CRI led...
If you can spare the dosh get a sundrop if you happen not to like it, you can always post if on Candlepower Forums Marketplace and you'll get most of your money back =D
