@@thedoctor5964 "Gentrified" is just another term for moving a bad part of the city into another part. When you gentrify one neighborhood, the people that lived there don't just vanish off the face of the earth. They just move into another neighborhood, eventually destroying that one too.
Wrong bullshit! Baltimore isnât going to turn around for a long time. It is dangerous and drug infested and not getting any better. Itâs population continues to decline steadily. Itâs economy is stagnant and on the rocks. Most of its housing stock is decayed and beyond repair. Investors will continue to avoid Baltimore and focus on its cleaner safer suburbs instead. My thoughts entirely. I'm English and we have gentrified townhouses like this in many older cities which really wealthy people pay top dollar to live in. Areas of terraced houses like this when well maintained and occupied by good people - of whatever class - can become lovely communities. Baltimore might be beyond saving now but how sad for a city with a great history.
Baltimore,Philadelphia, Wilmington,All Big cities in New Jersey All have certain large areas that are Extremely DANGEROUS. Lock your doors and do not talk to Anyone on the street inthose bad areas.SERIOUS TIP.those places were my old drug using stomping grounds. 54yr old Van nuys Randy
I understand and will use extreme caution
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS you and Katy have a Way better channel than black Bigelow. You and Katy are good hearted and have good character.
Wilmington DE has nothing on Chester PA and Camden NJ. Those two cities are deadly.
I know someone thatâs renovating abandoned three story row homes in Baltimore and selling them, they look so nice
A lot of the homes have been torn down and are empty lots now
You should see Edgar Allan Poeâs house itâs a row house still standing the others were torn down and public housing was later built attached to it
I believe Cab Callowayâs house is still standing it was on a list for demolition
In 1976.I used to go there and tour the Historic sites. When I was in elementary school living on base at Aberdeen Proving Grounds Edgewood Arsenal. I seem to remember a shot tower where they made lead balls for muzzle loaders. Idk Iv been to so many places is The Betsy Ross house in Baltimore as I remember going there as well. Anyone still living in the area. There used to be a Amish community on a Mountain over in Pennsylvania. There was a Christmas Village there as well. Curious as to if it's still there.
I gotta tell you this was the worst day and weather it's not super populated here but sunday's are always the least active and especially if it's raining.
That was funny she was smacking on that gum ⊠video still good đ
If you want to see the nice areas you need to go to Fort McHenry, Federal Hill, Fells Point, Little Italy, Then skip over to Hampden and Mt Washington.
Did you skip dc? Or are you waiting to upload that video? One of my friends thinks Baltimore is the worst city in the us? What are your thoughts based off everything youâve seen?
So far i think it is the worst. But we got more to see. We will upload DC soon

@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS You have never been to New Jersey if you think Baltimore is the worst the city in the US. Trenton, Newark, Camden....easily worse.
I couldn't believe it. You guys were driving through Baltimore you're so lucky. It's a good thing you didn't drive through the really bad neighborhoods. You should see what it looks like on West Baltimore street. It's like Beirut Lebanon in the middle of their civil war. At this point the city has no hope of improving. It's still very much in decline. It will probably be generations before you see any improvement Baltimore. Very sad for the people who can't get out. Like your vids. Will be joining you to live in Naples in a 18 months or so.
đŻâïž after seeing this crap up here glad to call Florida home
Wrong and more wrong the city is getting gentrified more an more and some of the bad neighborhoods are be gentrified or torn down completely i can tell you never been here you just see one part of the city and think its all crap
@@thedoctor5964 I agree people just want to put Baltimore down the city is starting to get gentrified and I am Washington DC.
Baltimore itself is through as a prosperous major city.
You needed to go up Fulton towards North Ave and Baker St. Then down Monroe. I haven't watched the whole vid yet, maybe you did. You said it was Sunday and it was raining so there weren't as many hoppers on the corners.
Jose u gotta visit Cape May beach and Atlantic City. Id advise drive up the NJ coastline to see the beach towns, then on the way back go through the central jersey towns
The wipers! đ©đ©đ«
Florida windshield wipers. They are louder than their narration. So is the GPS. Time to invest in some lapel mics.
Nice
You should have rode over West(That's what we call the Westside)around 4/5pm.Thats when it gets crazy. You would had way more commentary.lol.
â ïžâ ïžđđđ€Ł naw i am ok
I would like to welcome y'all to Baltimore
Jose DO NOT EXPLORE Baltimore hoods
Yeah i had no idea what i got myself into there i taught near downtown would be okay
The area you are driving around 1st is Mount Vernon. It's not half as bad as the West Side of town. I hope your windows were up and all doors is locked at all times (in general). Baltimore is small and you will see extreme differences within a few minutes. Be safe.
Been to the Baltimore Aquarium and few times, school field trips and once on a date about 20 years ago. There WERE some really nice, Old School, small Italian restaurants northeast of the aquarium. Also a very active harbor area with shops, live music.
Most of that is going now. The Inner Harbor is mostly closed up. Very dangerous at night. Gangs of teenagers harass anyone dumb enough to walk around there at night. People who go to the ball games there don't spend any time at local business they just get the hell out as quickly as possible.

I liked how you could see the beauty tho. This old buildings are really well built beautiful buildings. Baltimore is like a lot of big cities- not a lot of opportunities and there cycles off addiction/hustling becomes the go to. Sad stuff. So much unnecessary suffering.
Well built but shit maintenance by absentee landlords.
These cities up and down the east coast are very old. They are like 15th, 16th and 17th centuries old. Bmore is named after another Brit, Lord Baltimore. đ
Bet she white Right?
Northwest and North Baltimore is the most beautiful part of the city.

Police Academy movie was Los Angeles and all the sequels L.A.,California. The Wire- one of the best tv series of all time: that was in Baltimore
The city in the Police Academy movies was basically not named, well except the Miami Beach one or the crappy Moscow one,but the filming for part 1 and 3 was Toronto, part 2 and 6 was Los Angeles, unsure about part 4 and 5 and 6 were the Miami Beach and Moscow ones.
