Crazy story… I lived in Baltimore for like a year in my early 20’s. When I first moved there I parked my car on North Ave (at night) and went walking down the block to see if I could find some weed. A man in a truck pulled up to me and asked me “Is it ready out here?” I didn’t know the slang and I was so focused on getting weed, I replied “I’m tryna see!” I hopped in the back of his pickup truck and we rode down the street and He told me to wait there. This young dude comes up to me and asks me “You wanted the ready?” I say yeah and he then gets this sad look on his face. He asked me how old I was, to which I replied “Old enough my guy”. He tells me I’m too pretty to be out here like this and I say “Can I just get my stuff please?” He proceeds to hand me a crack rock. I literally screamed and dropped it! He quickly picks it up while shushing me. I told him I was looking for weed. He laughed super hard and then told me he knew I wasn’t from around there as he scolded me about using slang I didn’t know the meaning of. He takes me to get the weed and I speed walked back to my car embarrassed and scared for my life😂😂😩😩😩. I must be one of God’s favorites cause I have put myself in some precarious situations🤦🏾‍♀️

"Feel good" cultural art depicting the "black experience"... and the juxtaposition of what it really looks like in today's inner cities. What a shame. I was in the not so nice neighborhood around Merrit Blvd. I was good friends with my neighbors they said to me when I first moved there," are you lost"? I would say, " I guess so but, I live here now so it is what it is." I will say the squeegee bois are awesome I always tip them they are trying to make ends meet for them and or their families. He says look at it let me know if you want. Oh yeah was replied. He says wait here. We still have bag in hand he goes to this bag pulls something out and walks back signals to give him the money and his original bag. He then hands over a tin foil wrapped bag and immediately starts saying police police. And starts walking away. Since we were out of Towner's. We stuff what we got in pocket and scurry back to the car. Open up our bag and yes it was the finest grass in Baltimore. Lawn grass that is. This MF took a clump of lawn put it in a bag and pawned it off. On my bro for $30. Lol. We still laugh cause that was done so well. But hey thanks to prohibition it puts good people in some real shitty spots. Note. It's not the drugs that are killing us citizens. It's the stuff people are putting into the drugs that are killing people. It's that cut that is making people go bonkers, get sick ECT. All the data we get and try to decipher is all wrong cause it's not cocaine or ..... They are selling. It's some basement chemical compound that looks like it that's what we are studying. If the product was untainted and the risk was 0. States taking the profits out of this mess. After about 5 years the USA would be a much safer, sober place to live. Drug cartels are here cause we make stupid stuff like cocaine,ECT expensive and risky. Take that risk and profit away and those leeches of the world will go elsewhere. We say decriminalize it all. Offer clinics that can provide clean drugs at fair cost, needle exchange and the words we are right here when you have had enough and want to try sobriety out. From what we have read is now a animal tranquilizer is being used to cut fentanyl and that product actually eats away at the users flesh. WTF. We tried the bully arrest jail threaten way and it has done nothing but cause death and sadness. Could it get any worse if we provide the means to clean non cut drugs a safer way to use these drugs. Take the profits from the cartels and offer a better way of life when ready. We say no way it would get worse. You will always have addicts but the shootings and crime and unnecessary deaths and sickness would drop significantly. Again these drugs are only a huge problem because government made them that way. You take away the profit, which takes away cutting drugs with dangerous substances which stops deaths, provides no way to make gangs big money.

as a 50 year old white kid i have harped about the lack of concern for our urban citizens since 1983. I had friends that endured this environment. Always with a smile they went about their day. It pisses me the f off. CZcams made me edit but what are they doing to help humanity as a whole!

The neighborhood didn’t always look like that. The urban citizens had a lot to do with it.

    Charm City, U.S.A..
That was our moniker in the 70s. Now, it's Baltimoron, Muderland instead of Baltimore, Maryland. Don't come hear saying that or you'll get your brains knocked out.😃🤣😂
