Same I just did mine today and it flashes I tapped in aswell im not sure if we have to splice so it can got better connection
What if I just want to change out the 3rd brake light only will i have to go through the whole process with the trunk jig? The car came with the diffuser but it had the smoked 3rd brake light which suck and want to switch it out with the red one.
Had the same issue today. For those that need help, I had a red, black and white wire coming from the light. (Diffuser light to connector) Plug the black to black, white to olive green and leave the red out. Works perfectly fine.
Thank you! I am installing it right now and i was like why in the world would they make it flash like that! One way to attract heat! Lmao... but yah i just unplugged the red and now just works as a 4th brake light! Cheers
did you remove the bumper to add the nuts and bolts??? how did you thread the bolt through the nut, if you didnt remove the bumper?
No I just reached underneath and put nut on and tighten it

@@jmathew_5812 damn bruh i forgot been so long, do you have a light / fuse tester? Use a one of those and have someone step on the brake while you check the cables under the panel in the trunk towards the outside edge of the car, i think it was an orange cable for the brake light to work

Try switching red to olive green wire if you haven’t fixed this already

I wired mine like this and it only flashes when i brake.
red wire to solid green wire
yellow wire to white & green wire
black wire to black & white wire
I have a 2015 q50 and ran it to the tail light, not sure if the wires are the same for yours.
Does it matter which tail light? Like can i wire it to right or left?

@@joshdelgado00 yep, ran it through the inside of the trunk and wired it there to the tail light. Not a fan of the flashing tho so i unplugged it and now it stays on all the time when I'm driving at night.
Do not connect the yellow wire...it will stop the flashing..

Mine came with a whit wire, I didn’t connect it only did the black and red and it was still blinking like that everytime

No man I didn’t I think it’s just because it’s a cheap part or something I just left it disconnected
