I really like the old ankh and black vise combo in a burn deck. Those decks used to have copper tablets as well
Just to put a clock on the game as well ha ha.

It’s a good deck vs The Deck.

Su-chi, even with mana burn, is a really good card in my opinion. Yes, it dies easily, but gives you the option to bypass those nasty CoP as the source of damage has no color, and once you have a jayemdae tome on field its a free card on hand waiting to happen if it dies.
I tend to like more Juggernaut, but still...

As much as I love these cards and these decks, it can be so predictable lol no fault of the players, they are great. Back when I used to run LGS casual tournaments I always loved ways to get players to think outside the box. Have you thought about organizing your own tournament? You could call it something like the Righteous Avengers Tournament, and the only rule is all cards besides basics featured in the top 16 decks of say, this tournament or the past 3 or something. That would force players to really think dig deep in the old boxes and binders. I bet a lot of these guys would love to do it over there.

Have you ever checked out Old School 7 point Singleton? My playgroup and I find it to be a diverse and enjoyable old school format.

I am curious about the Knights of the Thorn card!

It should have been the Southern Paladin (destroys red) to Northern Paladin (destroys black) for White Knight but it wound up being just a card with cool art but overpriced as knight card. It came out in The Dark I believe. Eventually they did make Silver Knight (WW for a 2/2 First Strike pro Red) which became the companion of the White Knight.

savannah lions is a curious creature, you can see it in control decks or splas colors, it cost 1, leaving mana free and trusting you, but when they have taken a couple bites on the buttock, you quickly learn that they can be decide the game. Nice decks for me.
