“One of the least popular origin stories”? I thought that would have been the hulk. Idk I thought captain America was really popular
Hulk doesn't have an MCU origin story.
Captain America is pretty great but they're all such strong movies that it's like saying one cake is less popular than the other cakes when really all cakes are awesome.
badminton he’s connected to the Incredible Hulk
Yeah, I love Cap and his backstory!
It probably due to perspective of when you watch it. Since it came out shortly before Avengers and people were still in awe of Ironman 1 as well as Thor 1, they would see it as a step down from those. However, if you go back and watch it now, it would probably seem better as all the hype is not there and you can just focus on the movie itself. Tiss the same as Ironman 3. People bashed it as it is mostly different than the first two Ironman's and it came right after Avengers. The movie itself was more of a character study/driven story instead of the usual action based story. Besides two major flaws (the whole Manderine twist and a somewhat generic final battle scene), it was a good movie on how a narcissistic billionaire would deal with PTSD (though it was mostly "cured" at the end) as well as focusing on the man inside the suit instead of just the suit.
However, I think we can still all agree that Thor 2 is still at the bottom of the list :)
@@pcppbadminton hulks origin story is the incredible hulk. Even though hulk is played by edward norton, it's technically the same character.
This movie is a hidden gem in the mcu. It’s not even hidden, it’s a genuinely good movie
It’s funny, every single time I see a scene or a character from this movie, I just wanna rewatch it 😅.
It kinda mixes the good world war II movie with superheroes, perfect mix!
"It is not something one buries."
It’s honestly in my top 3 favorite MCU movies because I remember watching it when I was like 8 and thinking that Captain America was the coolest superhero ever which I still agree with to some extent Edit: fixed some phrasing

Wait. Captain America is one of the least liked movies? That's weird

When Stever Rogers picked a shield he asked Peggy about how it looks, and she shot him four times on the shield. Similar shots are seen at 6:48 too.
ankul tanna It’s not similar it’s the same shots as it’s the same shield. If you Noticed Howard says “that’s all we’ve got” meaning the Vibranium. The marks on the shield are most likely Chemical charring or burns from the bullets she shot which the paint probably just didn’t go over very well hence the marks on the shield. This is really good attention to detail.
When Steve is small and is in the car on the way to get bigger. You can see how the director uses depth perception to make Steve look smaller

Don't understand why this film isn't considered great by a lot of people; it is easily my favourite origin film and up there as one of my favourite marvel films period!
The Canadian lad you missed something when the light goes out on Steve's machine that turns them into Captain America in the background you can see the symbol of shield
This is the most underrated Marvel movie
Cap is the most underrated Marvel hero. Yes, he gets lots of screen time and attention, but they're always undercutting him in favor of Tony Stark (who any sane group of heroes would have shut down and committed to psychiatric care about two years into the Iron Man era). For some reason, they seem to want to hang everything on Stark, but hats of the MCU for making a character that'd be so incredibly easy to make boring interesting when they did Captain America.
Bobby Feet They gave Tony Stark too many of others’ storylines: some his own, some Hank’s, some Reed’s, some Bruce’s... the list goes on. That’s why Tony’s so incredibly chaotic.
And he’s played by RDJ. 😂
It’s not even underrated
And iron man 2
@@bobbyfeet2240 Exactly
“One of the least popular origin stories...” WHO??? WHO DOESNT LIKE IT?!
Thats what i was thinking
i really liked the movie because it was based off of world war 2

The same people that instead of a good story; want two-hour commercials with shiny objects and bad writing. Example: Iron Man 3.
Probably Hydra Agents
That's Unamerican
The human torch suit at the Stark Expo wasn't actually for Chris Evan's character Johnny Storm, but one of Marvel's first heroes which was an android called Jim Hammond.
Both were called Human Torch in MARVEL comics, but they were separate entities within the comics and generally unrelated. Johnny Storm might have lifted the name from Jim Hammond, I'm not sure.

When Steve gets transformed into Captain America you can actually hear soldiers marching in the backgroumd
In the first avenger when Bucky was about to leave he tells Steve "Dont do anything stupid till i get back" and Steve replyed "How can i, youre taking all the stupid with you, that was the same thing that happened in endgame when Cap wanted to return the stones except it was vice versa.
That’s pretty long quote my guy, like where does it end??
There was a part where in the convention scene when Steve Rogers was going to try out to be a soldier Bucky said don’t act stupid without me and then Steve said how can I be stupid if you are taking all the stupid with you. In endgame when Steve was going to return the stones he told Bucky don’t be stupid without me and Bucky said how can I be stupid if you are taking all the stupid with you.

One thing I had noticed that you missed in this video is the marks on Cap's vibranium shield after it is painted. I think those marks are bullet marks because Peggy shot Cap with a pistol when he asked about the unpainted shield which he blocked with the shield.
0:56 My mom, who is 58 years old and who I thought would never like something like Marvel or just watch it for my sake and therefore wouldn’t pay much attention, actually noticed straight away that Red Skull has those stretch marks and was like „does he wear a mask“? I‘m very proud of my mom :‘)

Right before the dialogue “I can do this all day” Steve holds the bin lid like a shield.
RAVI BAROT weally WOW how ironic
That's the point doe
That was wayyyyy obvious. That’s why he didn’t mention it. It’s supposed to be thinks you would quickly mias
Fast forward to Endgame where Rogers fights himself:
past Rogers: “i can do this all day”
Future rogers: “yeah. I know, i know”
Kyle Broome that line was quite forced in my opinion, it’s supposed to be uttered only when cap has absolutely no chance of winning and is battered beyond belief, not when a fight has just kicked off. Or, as Hulk would say, “it’s gratuitous, but whatever”
There is a Valkyrie reference in the movie in the beginning and Steve makes a picture of a dancing monkey in the movie which can be related to his his avengers dialogue of "I understood the reference" about the dancing monkey
The reference was to flying monkeys, i.e. from The Wizard if Oz.
Wow
It’s like marvel knew you would be watching these slower to catch these! Keep it up you answer some many questions I get/have!
Love how they make series and movies with small part that the normal viewers would miss, and likely everyone who is watching it on release would never notice. But one can find them when rewatching and analyzing it.

This dude: The least popular origin
i think you didnt get what he was trying to say
For me it's the best origin story
So ... You can say... Humility comes before greatness ?
he is referring its popularity as a film to audiences I believe. Since it was deliberately corny and wholesome and at the time people were down on the "boyscout" characters and liked the edgier ones like Iron Man and Wolverine or Spider-Man since he is Spider-Man.
When steve chases the serum, he crashes into one of the shop when taking a turn at the corner, maybe due to his unfamiliarity with his new body/ability.

At the end of the video, There are scratch marks on the shield from where she (i forgot her name) shot the shield earlier in the film indicating that they used the same or a replica of the shield. You can tell by the reflection on the shield that something had hit the shield. These scratch marks are in the same spot as where the bullets hit the shield, indicating that they did not try hiding the fact of the bullet marks.
