Have you tried the Better Politics Mod? It adds a lot of detail for interest groups. It also adds more content surrounding the revolutions of 1848-1849 and other political developments such as socialism. It's one of my personal favourites. It can make the game more challenging however as head of states can veto legislation depending on their ideology and their willingness to sign is dynamically tied to social conditions, law support, and political rigidity. It also adds new interest groups and ideologies, some of which don't appear until perquisite movements or developments occur.

I've considered it and was wondering if it went too deep - but after 1.7, I might want to give it a try if it's compatible with my other beloved mods.

I love BPM, although it has some compatibility issues with PEC due to the fact that PEC also adds a new interest group and changes some laws. Someone on the Steam Workshop page said they are working on a compatch, so I'm waiting to see how that pans out, because I'd love to use both of the mods together.

@@ExpedientFalcon I honestly don't see the point of having more than one mod delving into this enabled tho... i'd rather switch between PEC/BPM/Ultra Politics if i wanna switch up the politics gameplay for a run

Some mods do a little of this, some a little of that. I like having layers of coverage. :-)

@@AlexAlex-vk9sy The reason you might want them both enabled is because they do different things. The main pull for me of PEC is the economics changes. To be honest, I'd prefer if they split out their political and economics changes into separate mods, because it would improve compatibility with other mods (however there may be reasons that's difficult to do, so I do understand the author making it as one mod). The political changes that BPM makes are far more in depth, but I want the bust/boom cycles, central banking improvements, etc. that PEC brings as well.

Good video. I think I will use the time that the mods have not been updated to relearn the game as vanilla with all the new features being brought.
