Victoria 3 Mod Update for 25 June 2024

  • It's been just over 24 hours since the new DLC and update released and already, we have some high quality mods out there! I give a quick rundown of what mods and authors have been able to update by now and which ones I'm eagerly anticipating.     Many many good suggestions here, these mods are hard to find and decipher for someone new but they are essential. Thank you sir! I would suggest you take a look at Kuromi's AI

      I have tried it in the past, and felt that different AI-changing mods were more to my taste. But it is a solid one, absolutely.

    I thoroughly enjoy your content, particularly the expertise you bring to gaming, akin to The Civil Engineer who creates city-building videos. Having followed your channel for a few weeks now, I find myself sometimes struggling to discern the specific focus of each video. Would it be feasible to consider numbering your videos as episodes? This approach would provide clarity, allowing viewers to easily track, for instance, the progression of the France playthrough across its five episodes. Thank you for your efforts, and please keep up the excellent work.

      I do have them ordered in their playlists, which I have maintained that way. Putting episode numbers on videos is something that turns away new viewers once the number is greater than one. Having said that, that statement has the most impact shortly after a video release. Going back to older videos and making series/episode notes shouldn't impact views, so that's something I can work on.

      @Aegon23 I did a Portugal game once and was able to grab Transvaal to get gold, now... that crutch isn't there... much tougher to do!

    I don't actually own Vic 3 yet, and I was put off by the game's initial release. But seeing the game's mods and the reception to the latest expansion makes me feel like getting it in this Steam Summer Sale. I'll be sure to try this modlist when I do.

      It's definitely building momentum and getting better with each update. Another 12-24 months, and we'll have a full-blown classic on our hands.

      @@An_Economist_Plays That's good to hear! I like this era of history, so it'd be neat to have a fun and in-depth Paradox game that can replicate it. It'll be fun to see what Total Conversion modders bring long down the line, too.

      Be prepared to budget between 300 and 500 throughout the entire development cycle if you're planning to purchase DLC. Welcome to Paradox :)

      @@Aegon23 a calculation and commitment I do make - as long as the game is fun. A good computer game has an excellent entertainment return on investment.

    Unfortunately there’s still no mod that allows to downsize private factories. Because I have checked that Manor houses and finance districts doesnt downsizes or destroys buildings that are not profitable. Mine finance district have several factories which are unprofitable and I cant destroy them. Hopefuly there will be that mod or in next hotfix devs will fix that

      Also worth mention that I had some gold mines in South Africa and when I ennacted Leizess Faire they had to be sold to private owners BUT nobody wants to buy them eventhough they are profitable. And also I dont get any dividend from them that strange. I cant sold them but also dont get profit

      The dev diary showed buildings with not enough workers downsizing, so that should be in there somewhere.

      If they were government owned and had 0 throughput, one of the mods I mentioned at the end should address that.

      @@An_Economist_Plays well maybe they do downsize them, but still doesnt delete them completely. I have grain farm and wine plantation which is unprofitable but they doesnt get deleted so state would get more infrastracture to build something else. Hope that in next patch they will fix that
