  • Hi everyone! In this glassblowing lampworking video, we work with some color rods. You'll learn how to heat the rods and join two colors together to form one solid piece of borosilicate glass to work with.

This flameworking project gave me a bit of a hard time as sometimes the glass wants to do what it wants. But as a wise glassblower once said, "the best technique to learn is to fix your mistakes."
I must be doing a lot of learning because I sure make a lot of mistakes =).

Just curious as to why you dont just use the one colour rod for the gather as opposed to fusing the two colour rods at the start?

Hey Simply! You can use one color if you choose. I figured it would be fun to use two for the demo. All the best! Sim

Hey Mike! I have not done a kiln video. I have a feeling I'll get a lot of crap from other glass artists because everyone has a different method of annealing their stuff. All the best! Sim
