My dog ownership has been similar to yours, in some ways. Got a puppy when my son was born. 22 years later my son was grown , and I was with alone with my dog ,when she passed. Just too painful to replace her. Still have dog bones 20 years later, to pass out while I ride. I have feral cats on my trail so I carry some cat treats too.

Yep, you know the feeling. But we get to see them on our ride, maybe that fills the void a little. I came around a corner today and saw a large black lab with 3 chubby puppies. They were so cute and friendly. I see maybe 15-20 dogs on every ride, I am like a dog magnet LOL Keep riding friend.

Iam thinking about not riding next winter months , the amount of prep work getting dressed and still forgetting some gear and then freezing half to death , really takes the fun out of it . Really looking for the warm weather months to saddle up and ride like the wind !

The cold can be brutal, I agree. By the time you get your gear figured out, the weather changes, that is always a challenge.

I saw your back problem in previous video. IN your articulation while walking. Makes me feel bad really.. Hey, I have a wrecked left hamstring, and a left knee that will blow out if I play HARD in hockey heavy (no problem)! Our creaks and cracks!

Yes, when I started riding 50-75 miles a day I started wearing bike shorts. : ) It does make a difference.
