They don’t just kill Riddick because these private prisons are paid based on criminals they contain. Riddick is wanted for many crimes, so the longer he stays (for life) the more the prison is paid. Riddick isn’t a villain per se, so there’s no reason to kill him, more importantly, the warden doesn’t care about Riddick killing guards or other prisoners. He still gets more money keeping Riddick.

The assault rifles at this point in the plot are DNA locked to the guards again. At the beginning Riddick breaks into the security office and adds his prints to the system. The guards remove him from the system when he gets caught.
Back when this was filmed in 2020, he had costochondritis. Before getting the surgery done, he would take medically prescribed cbd gummies to ease the pain that came with costochondritis.
