Ash treats Serna so differntly from other girls right from the outset. It is so clear to me that he has feelings for her. Somehting a lot of people forget is that the romance is told from Serena's perspective, so she doesn't always see how Ash expesses himself. This is especially because he doesn't entirely understand what his feelings are. So he treats Serena as a very special friend because that's the best he can do. #amourshippingforever
They should make a movie with all characters come together to help ash

Given that Pokemon Journeys didn't do many references in Dawn's return, I'm interested to see if Serena's feelings for Ash are still present or if Journeys will turn Serena's feelings into just a really close friendship as the tone of the series has shifted to a bit more comedic compared to X&Y.
It shouldn't change but anime is a dumb mediocrity so they change them like they doesn't care at all
