Scream (originally stylised as Scream!) is a floorless roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard, Scream was the park's sixteenth roller coaster and is located in the Screampunk District area of the park. The 150-foot-tall (46 m) ride consists of a series of roller coaster elements including seven inversions ranging from a zero-g roll to interlocking corkscrews. The ride is a mirror image of Bizarro at Six Flags Great Adventure.
Once the train is loaded and secured, the floor is retracted and the train departs the station. A U-turn to the right leads to the 150-foot-tall (46 m) chain lift hill. Once riders reach the top, they go through a small pre-drop before dropping 142 feet (43 m) to the right. The train then reaches a top speed of 63 miles per hour (101 km/h) and enters the 128-foot-tall (39 m) vertical loop followed by a turn to the left into the 96-foot-tall (29 m) dive loop. After the diving loop, the train passes the station and goes through a zero-g roll, where riders experience a feeling of weightlessness. The train then goes through the 78-foot-tall (24 m) cobra roll, a roller coaster element which inverts riders twice. Riders then enter the mid-course brake run which is located next to the lift hill. The train drops out of the brake run to the right and enters a 270-degree helix followed by the two interlocking corkscrews. Riders go through a small dip then enter the final brake run before returning to the station.

The lines on Scream were always relatively short compared to other intense rides. I actually liked the brutal, minimalist aesthetic.
The ride is great. If there's less a line because it's tucked in the corner and nothing special to look at, all the better. I've always said it's probably the most underrated ride in So Cal.
pretty long
Best theming for a coaster ever.....A parking lot
Yep. That way it gives you the illusion or feeling that you'll crash right into the concrete!!! It adds to the thrill element.
Still a good ass ride tho
Rollercoasters dont need a theme. And it's better than no coster there
Dreaded R it’s just by the parking lot it’s near the edge of the park
Whenever I see these I look at the cars
This should be the last ride of the day so they can drop you off right where you parked your car.
J M yup
Hah! Perfect!
IKR
Yeah, it's only fault. Smack dab in the middle of the parking lot. This is a really fun coaster, though. I wish they would have put it somewhere else, though.
When I rode it for the first time, we were the last riders of the night and we did it THREE TIMES IN A ROW. it was sooo fun
Ride operator: Get ready to go upside down 7 times
Me watching the video shouting wooooooooo yeah
Right there with ya lol
you gotta love inversions...a lot...to ride this one. Great coaster. Terrible park placement.

Always loved how this was literally just in the parking lot, I didn't know everyone else felt the same, haha
Just like a traveling carnival ride in a mall parking lot
I still remember the first year of the ride when all the parking lot lines were still there very clearly and it really was a literal parking lot you were riding over.
Your park has just won the award for most beautiful park in the country!

It happens to be an especially fun roller coaster. It really smooth and fast and it's the perfect length.

It is on the parking lot and so what? Tjat bothers you why?
@@armandofernandez8257 where at in my comment does it say it bothers me?
Fun Fact: This ride was actually a mirrored version of the prototype floorless coaster, Medusa, now known as Bizarro at Six Flags Great Adventure.
Soldier of Light the rail blazer at California’s Great America is a mirrored version of Wonder Woman’s laso at sixflags over Texas
Goliath at fiesta Texas is a mirrored clone of Batman the ride, also viper at six flags great America is a mirrored clone of Cyclone
I call scream the west coast bizzaro sometimes

Do you think all rollercoasters look and sound like a funeral?
@@Mattitude75 **all the time**
i mean it is called “scream”
I rode it when it was new, and it still has zero landscaping: it runs over pavement.
It is a beautifully well balanced B&M, even smoother than the Riddler's Revenge. I think you could close your eyes and not even know you're on a roller coaster.
I give Scream a very low rating, because the ride is not intimidating, and very easy to ride, and has no visual appeal at all.
One thing that parks tend to overlook is that the visual appeal of the course matters.
The Matterhorn Bobs is nowhere near as fast and thrilling as Scream, but it is so much fun riding through the mountain.
Now X2 is such a wild ride that you spend 47 seconds thinking you're going to die, so you don't notice the lack of scenery.
Twisted Colossus may lack scenery, but it doesn't really need it with the twin track racing effect.
Revolution may not be as thrilling today as it was in 1976, but it is visually much more impressive. It even threads its loop.
Yea I was thinking this is the best firemans fair ever! With all that parking lot
Andrew B scream is not smooth
I have to agree and 2nd this motion. It lacks visual appeal and no theming to add to it's repertoire.
Same goes for Batman in st Louis vs Chicago, Chicago's is heavily themed, surrounded by it's theming and the park itself and creating a great atmosphere... The one in stl is far smoother track wise but lacks the visuals and is almost just over plain gravel and dirt... Not as mesmerizing
thats what im saying. if SFMM had its rides AND the cleanliness and theming of Disneyland AND wasn't located in the middle of nowhere, they would be golden.
Hey man chill out
Best scenery ever 10/10

Right? Scream is one of my favorite coasters in the park. So underrated in my opinion. A solid ride to me.
@@jessen6700 Yess this ride is the definition of underrated
Oh have a little fun. Don't you love when you can make fun of a roller coaster?
My daughter and I got to ride it by ourselves. It was great!
Ok jdavis 57 me and my daughter would like to ride it!
The turn at 1:41 is crazy, if it’s a hot day and sit on the far right you can feel the heat off of the pavement
This ride is honestly really relaxing. The loops and drops are very nice and smooth and easy. I don’t like the view of the parking lot but the smoothness and relaxing ness makes up for the rides location. 8/10,
Bizzaro, the original Floorless is a mirror image of scream, but in a nice grasse location with good theming. Check it out if you can.
Tavio Revilla I’ve ridden Bizzaro. Just like I said with this ride but the greenery is beautiful!
Pretty good ride. The theming could be better, but it was really fun and smooth. It also made me Scream, as in the name of the coaster, so I’m gonna have to give this ride a *8/10*
This reminds me of a story:
When my dad was in collage and his brother was 12 they went to six flags together. On one of the roller coasters, while they were going up the big huge first drop, my dad turns around and says: Mark! We are gonna die on this roller coaster!
I don’t think my uncle has EVER been on a roller coaster again🤣 (this is actually my fave family story EVER)
The reaction of your uncle must have been priceless
This is the dumbest GP quote I have ever seen in my life and if someone thinks they would ever die on a coaster just think your more likely to die fishing.

are the drops super big? what rides (like maybe at disneyland) would you compare it to?

I think this was probably the most underated coaster at the park due to the quantity of all of the coasters it seemed like nothing compared to Goliath and Riddler's revenge because it wasn't even a single use for fastpass
The day Six Flags takes a stab at being more of a theme park than an amusement park is when they could really be some mean competition.

Bro twisted Colossus is also in the parking lot I ain’t see no one complaining. This ride underrated all I gotta say
I have found a new appreciation for the rollercoasters @ Magic mountain. The best way i can describe them is "smooth" compared to the ones here in Sweden or the one i rode in Las vegas @ New york New york. The way i best can describe them is "whiplash".
Probably the most underrated rollercoaster in SoCal. Always a shorter line than, say, Colossus or Viper, and more fun in my opinion. Boring name, no theme, and off the beaten path, but a true gem as far as coasters go.
Me pulling into the parking lot: omg look at the blue on I'm going on that first!
I went on full throttle first
Good. Do that if X2 doesn't open with the park.
@Twisted Coaster Fan If you get there at opening, could range from a walk on to a 30 minute wait.
I have been on Kraken at SeaWorld Orlando several times, and Scream at SFMM looks even more intense than that.
Bob Schneider ive ridden Bizarro which is a mirror image of this ride and Kraken. Kraken destroys this thing.
Trust me...
Its not
This ride is a lot of fun for being in the parking lot lol
I love that other theme parks try to make their rides a complete illusion and Magic Mountain is like "Nah, we're just gonna whirl you completely sideways on a banked turn just a few feet off the parking lot, that's pretty scary in itself!"
I remember going on this on my birthday and freaking out on the first inversion because I felt my necklace start to float off my neck and it was just given to me by my little sister so before it could fly off, I slammed my head agaisnt the back and kept it there until the ride was over. Good thing too, there were like 3 times it tried to fly off
Scream is the smoothest feeling ride in the park, in my top 5!
It wasn’t when I rode it, gave me the worst headache ever
Funny how twisted colossus is on a parking lot and you don’t see a single comment on how it’s on a parking lot.

Wow this looks pretty fun
Twisted collusion is also a parking lot coaster along with golaith why does this one get memed to death
Ikr?
Great ride !
When the ride first opened, I went to six flags with friends. There is a shoulder restraint and a car like cloth seatbelt snaps from in between the legs. My shoulder restraint didn’t lock like everyone else’s did. I notified the attendants and 2 of them said it would once the ride was in motion. I was a skinny, 90lb girl who was 4”11. Luckily my big friend sat next to me because my harness NEVER locked, I was sliding out of the ride and my friend wrapped his legs around mine and held in to me for dear life from his seat into mine. He was purple and red from how hard he held on to me and I was gagging after we got off the ride hyperventilating. My complaints were not taken serious as I was a 17 y/o kid. Thanks to that experience I NEVER WENT ON A ROLLERCOASTER AGAIN.
Manufacturers: how many inversions do you want. The scream: yes
Y’all need to realize Six Flags Magic Mountain doesn’t concern itself with themes. Save that shit for Disneyland.
I swear I always watch a video before I go when I get scared
The only reason people hate this ride is because it’s next to the parking Lot. It’s still a great ride!
Love it...
Im glad im not the only one who looked at this ride and wondered why is it in the parking lot
This looks a lot like Medusa, which also sits in an old section of parking lot at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.
The theming tho🔥🔥
out of all rides in 6 flags, this was the scariest for me.
you haven’t tried x2 then
I used to operate Georgia Scorcher from Six Flags over Georgia but now I’m operating Twisted Cyclone
This ride is mad underrated
Cool video looked alot of fun 👍
I love this ride sm idc
Not sure why so many people are annoyed by the fact that it was built alongside the parking lot. Space is a huge issue at the park, considering how many coasters they have. Plus, as people have mentioned, this ride has no theme, other than wanting to make you scream. :P No immersion necessary. Plus, when I go to any theme park other than Disney and Universal, I'm not there for the themes. I'm there for good rides. Scream is a great ride, even with its sordid reputation. 👍
