I recently recommended a sparky to a lady down the street, because when I had to have him in, he was lovely, friendly, professional AND he got the hoover out after. He had many cups of tea, many cuddles with my cats, and cleaned up after himself. My carpet was never so clean. He's got my vote.

Hello Bruce. I spent 30 years in food service. I've seen a few grease traps, rarely this size. There is NOTHING that smells worse than a grease trap. Mix sewer with vomit and you are close.

When the grease trap at the restaurant I used to work at would overflow.... oh man, you couldn't be in the building, was just horrific

We have freezing rain this morning with light snow, it's 20F outside, but much worse north of me, supposed to continue into tomorrow. Winters are gloomy and fairly cold most of the winter due to north winds blowing across the great lakes, summers are miserable due to high temperature and humidity, and full of pollen and mold spores, but there are worse places in the USA, tornado ally is bad for storms, the east coast and south gets hurricanes, the more northern part of the country gets really cold and blizzards. So Ohio is not the worst place live.

Amazing work. Makes me wonder about they get to this stage before you get the call. They are lucky to have you to fix the blocked up traps.
It’s never a problem until it is! Very few customers are willing to pay for routine maintenance! Im in the drain business out of Chicago and every call is just about an emergency!

As an American, I can say that going to Australia is like travelling so far away that everything looks and feels like home again.... but you still know you're about as far from home as its possible to be. It's both wonderful and terrifying... which itself is a good analogy for both Australia, and the US :)

Also, you can get little bungie cords or whatever they're called with key rings on them to put on your flashlight/torch and avoid losing it to the grease trap.

Just amazing how different you are on the West compared to the other two popular guys from your island. Of course one of them has 10X your subscriber count and the other 100X. You might want to message them and see if they would list your channel for a link back. Could help your views.
What really gets me is how different sewer infrastructure is from place to place. You would be bloody lost trying to figure out a sewer in the USA. Here is a hint, no gully.

Just watched. I worked in several fast food/gas station jobs where some people didn't care to clean/filter traps n some people knew it would build up n get nasty if not. So it's nice to see how the grease traps work beyond the drains, n also nice to see that someone cares to clean the place up a bit after! I would too, I agree with the point you made! However it would have been cool to see where that other nasty/moldy drain led to n also see it in a cleaner or functional state. Either way thanks for all the hard work/service you put in to keep everyone's system flowing flawlessly! You're appreciated all the way to Missouri in the USA! =D

Every fri lunchtime my sis and I would help mum clean the kitchen greasetrap this was 1947 and 48 today we are both in our 70,s and are still paranoid about dirty drains. My first job in teaching was to clean the boys so x and underpants from the toilets. Then I had to find the owner. Yes teaching was wonderful.
