RICH and CREAMY macaroni and cheese from a box?!! 😱😱 save time with this enhanced boxed Mac recipe

- Want baked Mac and cheese but don't feel like shredding cheese, mixing eggs, and building flavor from scratch? Try this instead!
List:
1 box of Mac and cheese of choice
1 cup of macaroni noodles
1-2 tablespoons of chicken bouillon
4 oz softened cream cheese
4 oz melted butter
1/4 cup sour cream
24 oz shredded cheese
1 1/2 cups of milk
Salt
Pepper
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Parsley
Paprika
Tony Chachere
Boil water with chicken bouillon
Add pasta and boil until Al dente'
Drain pasta and do not rinse
Return to pot and add cheese packet that came with the box mac, melted butter, cream cheese and sour cream , stir well , add half cup of milk and half cheese mixture season with 1/2 teaspoon of all seasonings except salt and stir well.. taste and if needed add salt
Grease a 9-10 inch skillet with butter
Add half the pasta mixture half of the remaining cheese, drizzle about 3/4 milk over the top, then add the second half of the noodle mixture, drizzle 1/2 cup of milk on top and then top with remaining cheese..
Add butter on top and season with pepper and paprika
Bake 25 mins at 400 degrees
Let macaroni sit about 10 mins before serving

Hi, this is just a short cut for that. It's not homemade Mac and cheese. This is for people who don't want to shred their own cheese, make roux etc. I'm fully aware that shredding your own cheese is best but if you want to cut to the chase on a basic night, this is an alternative.

Frankly, this is regular homemade mac and cheese with a cheese sauce packet added to it. Definitely not a quick and dirty recipe. As mentioned previously, shredding your own cheese is so much better. For the trouble you went through to make this, you might as well have! It looks over the top delicious .
Hi, maybe the video looks like I went through a lot but it literally took less than 10 mins to throw everything together after noodles were done. My homemade Mac and cheese takes a lot longer. I wouldn't dare put bag shredded cheese in homemade Mac LOL. But shredding cheese is a task in itself. Also, depending on what a person's homemade Mac and cheese recipe is , this may or may not be a short cut. There are people who shred cheese, make a roux, make a custard and more in addition to what I did here. In the end I guess it just depends on how advanced a person's homemade Mac and cheese normal process is. Thanks for the feedback🙂
