- Beautifully grotesque, politically confrontational and utterly unique: Karin Dreijer's Fever Ray project has come a long way since the immaculate icebox of their eponymous 2009 debut. It's been a thrilling journey. Mournful explorations of parental paranoia and Scandinavian solitude crumbled under the force of a newly emerging identity straining to devour societal interdictions and accepted gender frameworks with 2017's Plunge. Splintered facets of a stridently non-binary personality were explored with 2023's Radical Romantics along with a very human need for intimacy, its most vulnerable moments still as steely and unsettling as a shark circling its prey. Experience the idiosyncratic Fever Ray vision for this exclusive Passengers session beamed in from an abandoned factory in northern France.

What a show!!! Helena Guttarra and Maryam Nikandish are such a great addition to Karin's vocals and carism. What a power trio!
Karin over the last few years has really took their Fever Ray project to true new levels of creativity and that's saying something because I really like their early work a lot.
it's a mark of a great artist when they can straddle completely different genres, contexts, and soundscapes and master them!

As a recent convert to Fever Ray (and The Knife), I found this set to be... perfect. Brilliant pick of songs, wildly minimalistic yet constantly compelling. I've watched it almost 10 times in the last two weeks.

Fever Ray reminds me, in her perfomance very much of a tom waits performing "down in the hole" Drejier is the devil and also the saint. She turns and twists from lightning bottled up inside her and spits out energy without end, She is the agent provocateur and the provoked. She loves you as much as she hates you with her eyes. She stares right into your very soul but also through you like thin air. Outstanding performance. Hope to see this band in Hamburg. Thanks Arte and thank you Fever Ray!

Oh I'm not really interested in how people see themselves. I'm not that big of an idealist, most of my principles are logic based, subscribing to the idea of gender would force me to go against my principles. So in this context I only care about s*x based reality, which is what pronouns describe, it's why I'll always refer to every other female animal as she/her. Karin is a woman (an adult human female animal), so I use she/her to refer to her. 👍

You're allowed to believe whatever you want, that's why we have freedom of religion. I've never discriminated against people on the basis of their belief systems or self expression. That's another principle of mine.
I can only hope that those who ask for freedom of expression can also grant that same freedom to those around them.
This is everything to me. I have followed The Knife and Fever Ray for 20 years and this is just perfection. Im seeing them in Bristol in February and couldn't be more excited.

I have lost count how many times I have watched and listened to this gig by Fever Ray. The visuals, colors, their singing and interpretation is amazing, abstract, tangible, weird yet easy to get, captivating... Love the artistic approach they put forward....oh man... I could just carry on and on... Just wish they had included Spain in their european tour... (sigh)

I am writing my first book- a memoir. I am 85% of the way through and exhausted but determined. I've spent the last three days writing and taking breaks to watch this. Two songs re-fills my soul with feminine rage and fresh passion to keep going. Thank you, Karin, Fever Ray, and everyone who worked on this and released it for everyone to watch - including this middle aged mom in Texas.
