Beautiful! I am going to assume this was still green, had some moisture? If so how do you prevent cracking? Thank you!

I let all my logs dry and acclimate to my shop before turning them to prevent cracking. I’ve had one walnut log that I was turning into a vase crack on me even though I dried it beforehand which really sucked. So it’s now a shop decoration instead of in someone’s home haha besides letting the log dry and acclimate in the shop with time you could kiln dry the logs or if you’re comfortable with it you could dry them in an oven at the lowest temperature setting.
