WOW! What an incredibly interesting choice of form! It is beautiful, the grain is lovely, and the color variations in the wood pop.

I thought you made a big design mistake until I saw what it was for at the end. Nice.
It takes a lot of courage to put a log of such dimensions on the relatively small lathe, and even a holly. But the holly always rewards you, it has many hidden graces.

Tough piece to turn, it looks sorta like a pumpkin. Well done, that was a large chunk of wood.
You couldn't have found a bigger chunk of wood than that wimpy piece? Jiminy Crickets! That behemoth could have caused injury. It turned out beautifully and very unique.
