Stephen has a weird history with lamps. First there's Ninten hitting one with his hand, his friend Thomas became friends with him after sending him a lamp, he made the lamp shrine in his Sims 3 LP, the lamp lore in TRG, and then his bumper for Colosseum.
Not to mention the lamp from Four Swords
Lamps... lamps are just _drawn_ to the guy.
Stephen Georg just wants to live a quiet life with his lamp fetish.

This is a good bit of dnd lore that I did not expect to find while browsing youtube, so that is nice to know! Though that does mean I do have to apologize to my Dwarven Paladin friend...

I wasn't able to join in live because I needed to get sleep for exams I had the next day, but I cannot wait for the next one! This group is so interesting.
About the ringtone thing: I've only ever downloaded one audio file to my current phone to actually use as something, and I use it as my alarm for when I have to go to work at 6 AM on Saturdays. The song, legit, is a song by the name of 'Thomas' by the very Stephen in this podcast. Any fans of Stephen will know that song instantly. I chose it not only because the intro ditty for it is really great, but also because if I manage to sleep through the majority of the song, I'd probably be woken up by Stephen shouting my name at me.

Rewatching this cause I loved Jon's moving stories so much!
Having graduated from the same school as Jon, I 100% believe that this story happened. I almost didn't graduate high school because of them and the government due to a clerical error.. It was crazy!
If there's one thing I've learned from this podcast, its that Jon was basically a homeless man living in other people's houses for a decade.

The same name within a small radius is SUCH a Canadian thing 😂 A family friend got his door busted down, and cuffed because someone UP THE ROAD had the same name and weapons charges.

54:10 Oh man, I just had a really interesting idea for a D&D character (if I ever get the chance to play it, that is).
Okay, so here's the basics: the character could be whoever or whatever, but they themselves never actually speak. Instead of speaking, their actions and whatnot are entirely narrated through other people: for example, a bard shares with his audience the character's heroic(?) exploits in a dungeon, a villager testifies about their account of the character's movements through the town for an investigation into why the shop burnt down from "mysterious circumstances," etc.
There's more, but I don't really know how to put it into words yet.
I had a DND character literally based on Olberic from Octopath Traveler.

See that’s the thing about the last colosseum for me, I actually think it was better than the first two overall. While there were a lot of troublesome, in a way, segments, as well as some that just were put very good imo, it seems like that’s always the case when you’re trying to appease everyone. The ones that were good were REALLY good though, and more than made up for the first terrible ones. It also led to this disc only podcast, which was an amazing thing. In many ways I would prefer the next colosseum to be virtual, as a lot of the freshest segments this year aren’t likely to happen with an in person event

I mean... I was moving every 4 months in university, because I was in a program where we alternated 4 months of school with 4 months of co-op work. Really great for getting money and work experience, but I did move 14 times in 5 years (not to mention the stress of writing ~50 job applications, interviewing, and waiting to see what you got while still keeping up with school). OTOH because I knew I was going to move a lot, I never really accumulated more stuff than would fit in my parents' minivan, so it wasn't that bad.
