I'll never understand how you could trust someone enough to marry them yet not trust their judgment enough to believe them when they tell you they've seen something paranormal.
People are afraid of the unkown . They don't want to know anything about aliens or ghosts .
It said there was a reply. You tube stole it.
I agree with you about trusting someone.
I know if I see something odd, my partner asks all sorts of questions and asks to go see for himself. Not seen any UFOs or anything like that yet but if I do I’ll be straight on the phone asking him to come and look right away.

2026: Marie finds her way back home and is utterly confused about why everyone thinks she's been missing for 10 years. And where are her damned shoes?
I live around 3 hours drive from this town, never heard of this case Such a thing would make the news statewide as nothing much happens in SA, so I'm a little sceptical about the story. That said, good story. If you haven't already, look into the Somerton Man. Now that is a mystery.
There was a post on here from a girl who shared this story on Reddit about her friend Marie that went missing in TX almost identical other than this was changed to happen in Australia. So it looks like someone pinched it off reddit change the location and sent it into BT. I can't find her post now but BT replied to her, liked her post and mentioned that the story came from one of their followers so they can only share what they did... Also, I thought it was odd to say Jenny wouldn't go with Marie because it's getting dark, well its going in to spring in September so it wouldn't be getting dark that early I don't live in SA but it doesn't here in Brisbane! Not like it does during fall (autumn) in the USA in sept! Still an awesome story tho!! I love BT

The smoker going on even one 16 mile run is the unbelievable part.
LOL. True. A few smoker friends went on a 10 day backpacking trip. They were able to complete the trip, but needed many stops and smoke breaks.
Roger would be the main suspect. He and his wife were having troubles and they lived in a remote area. The stories Marie was talking about would be a good cover for what happened. After she disappeared, he got witnesses and made an excuses for why his tire tracks would be out there. No one would know what goes on behind closed doors, so neighbors would testify about his good character.
Yes, the partner is the most likely suspect, according to the police and they would know.
However, the lights she saw (if that's what they were) may have been a lure. She may have had a stalker. There are few surveillance cameras in and around country towns to track the movements of a stalker.
Alternatively, she hallucinated the lights/ mistook ordinary lights for aliens and, in her fear/awe, imagined they flew overhead. Then she just fell in a hole looking for their source and will not be found until that bit of land is worked by its owner.
The other violent outcome would involve an out-of-towner/s who promised to drive her home after she got too tired to run or walk home and then raped and murdered her, after she had taken off her shoes with her toes (explaining her socks still in them).
I hope her friends and family get an answer soon. They always say, in similar circumstances, "not knowing is the worst part".
I was thinking this exactly!!
The only Brit CZcamsr who can carry off an Aussie accent 👍
I think you're my favorite CZcams horror/mystery narrator. Your stories are always presented in an intelligent and believable way, with lots of relevant detail, and you don't get carried away trying to dramatically accentuate the scary parts (some narrators take it to a cringey extent). You seem like a very honest and down to earth person. Thank you for your work here, and please keep it up.
Ya I thought he did that quite well.
Agree
Polished and good entertainment.
This is one of 2 channels like this I watch, specifically because all the other ones have that overly dramatic cringey narration
Their accents are very similar.. had no idea Brits are poor at imitating the aussie accent.
@@morrisondavidson8814 "Their accents are very similar".
Similar to what?
There are literally dozens, if not a couple of hundred different accents in the UK, and I can't think of one that's remotely like an Australian accent.
Or what we'd call an "Australian accent", as I'm sure there are quite a few discernable accents in Australia.
The shoes with the socks still inside is a common find in some of these weird disappearances. Sometimes there are even foot bones inside the socks, as if the upwards force lifting the person is so intense that it pulls them right out of their shoes, sometimes even, their feet.
Whatever those crafts were, they were aware of Marie and she became easy pickings by returning at regular times each day.
Right the light beam sucks her up like a fly in a straw
Well the moral of the story is: once you've seen something, avoid that place altogether. Stop being so 'brave' after a while and going to that place again. Or don't go running at night, that should do the trick.
I'm sure she probably did see something out of the ordinary.
She definitely isn't the first, (and probably won't be the last), to say she some extraterrestrial stuff.
I just wish she wouldn't have been so determined to keep going back.
Once she saw what she saw the first time as it/they was chasing her...That should have been her last time going back.

Haha, I really wanted to do one for April Fools episode, but just didn't plan ahead at the start of the season so was a bit pressed for time when it came to this one. Oh well, maybe next time.
Excellent. It's a bit sad though, that Marie is still missing. I hope she will be found alive. Not much chance though. Maybe she's still alive but in a different galaxy.
She, herself was the only witness, however to these UFOs so perhaps she planned to elope with someone. She would have to have been a good actress and liar though and as the marriage was a good one it seems obviously unlikely she eloped. The fowl play theory doesn't fit in with the sightings. A real brain twisting mystery.

Sounds like what David Paulides wrote about in his Missing 411 books. The detail of finding shoes and socks is common in those disappearances.
@@HoboKa_AlexShtokalko 70th here
@@osakarose5612 The little detail about the shoes feels like someone writing this story thought to themselves: "People will think she most likely just got kidnapped or murdered. If I put in an inexplicable detail then they can't say it wasn't aliens."
Funny that the alien abductors were so selective about leaving the socks and shoes behind but her clothes went with her. Also the husband would certainly have known what his wife's running shoes looked like so if any were found then he would have identified the shoes as either belonging to her or not.
Ya know what I'd say to that? Removed so they cant run through thick woods / forests, dont want ya test subject running.....
Or Pauledes is a scam artist
Aliens obviously select to abduct these people without their currently used shoes and socks. The only logical explanation here is that they are being provided with clean ones in exchange. This explains why so many socks disappear from the laundry. Maybe the aliens are concerned about the effect of dirty soaked socks on their guests feet.
This is terrifying, and I do truly believe that so many missing cases are never solved because logical explanations aren't always the answer. Somethings out there are evil, and are never meant to be discovered.
The ending of this episode has always made it my favorite on the channel. Can't help coming back to it every now and again.
Searching on the internet, I couldn't find anything about Marie, lighting serious doubt on the story as a whole. But the story could have some reasonable explanations: 1) hallucination, she was schizophrenic or something like it and she could have died by an accident trying to flee from her hallucinations. 2) Otherwise she could have been followed and pursued by someone other weeks and this person killed her.
Or 3) It was aliens!

this story itself seems to be a mix of the actual Elisa Curry case in 2017 that was in Victoria, and also the spate of UFO sightings in South Australia in - of which there are quite alot in the 20th century - some reported as "nests" of activity even
A very interesting video and sadly just one example of many. I have family in Australia and the last time I was talking to them the conversation turned to the outback generally and how the vast majority of the island is uninhabitable in terms of sustainable long term settlements. They mentioned off hand that people I Australia do just disappear sometimes and that this is apparently a very common occurrence.
Their opinion is that it’s the outback that gets people. It is so vast and virtually uninhabited and scarcely travelled, that realistically if you go out in a small group, even just for a camping trip, and get lost or get into trouble, then you are effectively on your own and unless someone has a really good radio or a specialist survival phone then you simply cannot rely on outside help.
My uncle told me about a time when he was out there on a mountain biking trip. They are all experienced outdoorsmen so drive way out there with the idea of making camp far from civilisation and generally living it rugged for a week or so. They had plenary of supplies, working to a rule he has of if you think you’ll be out in the outback for a week take two weeks worth of food and water, and spare tires etc. After their week, they were planning to return and the geep just wouldn’t start. Nothing they tried would get it going and there would be no way in Hell they could cycle all the way back and survive. It was like being stuck in a dinghy in the middle of the Ocean apparently. They were stuck for two days before being spotted by a helicopter from a sheep farm and rescued shortly after.
That was a group of guys with tents and a geep who were intentionally trying to be spotted. Even then it was pure luck that saved them. Unfortunately if they had been hikers or loan runners etc, it is likely they would have died of dehydration or exposure and the chances are they would never be found. The outback is just too big to have a good chance of finding people.
This reminds me of the episode you did about people disappearing in US national parks. Maybe you should do one on the Outback too
I live in the Clare Valley where this story was set. It is no where near the outback, in fact you would have to drive over 200km from Watervale to get anywhere near the outback. I have also never heard of a missing woman case from Watervale, and I have lived here my entire life. There have been other cases of missing persons locally but they have mostly been found as mental health issues resulting in finding the person, either alive or deceased.
Seems the Moon is better mapped than Oz !!!
Interesting story though !!!
The outback is huge - really huge, you could literally bury some European countries in there. I grew up in the Mallee district, the largest open area of Victoria, takes about 6 hours at 100kph to get across. However you could bury the whole of Victoria in the open areas of WA, SA QLD, and the NT. And its hot... Really really hot and dry.
Learn how to spell you fucking heathen
Another case I had never heard of. I came across this channel purely by chance earlier on today but I am so glad I did. Great channel. Keep it up. Deffo a weird case this one. Like Fred Valentich minus the aeroplane.
TRIPLESEVENSIX I found this channel that same way,I’ve not heard of this one either.its always good to find a new ‘mystery’ case 👍🏻
Valentich case has a pretty reasonable explanation - he was a very unexperienced pilot and if my memory serves me well even had troubles finishing his flight school, it is entirely possible that while flying in the dark he lost control over the plane position and the plane started spinning, so he was flying upside down in some moments. That obstructed the flow of fuel to the engine due to the plane construction and resulted in his plane crashing into the water. The lights he saw was his own and sounds on the record were of his engine stopping due to the lack of fuel.
This one however is not easy to explain if we exclude the husband as potential killer, cause he knew about UFO's and could arrange the sneakers and socks found. But without a motive it's kinda nonsensical.
This case isn't real, that's why.
Yeah, I read the rest of the comments, kind of a disappointment. Even the original case is in no way mysterious.
Wouldn't Valentich have realised that he was upside down?? He radioed back that there was an object above him, how could he not realise that he was upside down? Gravity is very strong.@@VetkinaOlga

Not that bedtime stories isn't a genius of emotional narration and storyline, but this video is the only one of the series that made me cry.
I've seen some weird stuff, which included strange luminous orbs and, strangest of all, a ghost Concorde. It appeared to glow, albeit dimly, and then just blinked out in the night sky. This odd looking aircraft was also moving unusually slowly, and very quietly. The area in which I had seen these things wasn't very far from Chilcomb, Hampshire, which was already known for UFO activity. However, I must stress that my claim is no supported by evidence, and relates to observed activity in 1992. With no supporting evidence, I cannot fairly expect people to believe this.
Stephen Clementson I don’t just believe most of the stories I hear. But, neither do I not believe them. I simply don’t know, but am intrigued.

Excellent narration of a tragic story.
I used to see these stories all the time on Robert Stack’s “Unsolved Mysteries.” Could have simply been an undiagnosed paranoid schizophrenic with no photo evidence or otherwise of a “UFO.” They wander into the woods and die off or end up the victims of foul play. Happens to all of them if they don’t eventually get help. The disease seems to be easy to miss in youth, and then gradually come out well into adulthood. Sometimes suddenly.
I think she got kidnap by a Kangaroo

I think it's because she refused to be upside down, that the OZ land decided to balance out her blunder
I truly enjoy this channel. Great narration and artwork-like an illustrated Unsolved Mysteries. I've noticed some viewers are disappointed that this particular story may not be based on actual events, and truth be told, many stories on this channel may or may not be true. I am sure Bedtime Stories may consider putting a disclaimer on their videos, but I thought that it went without saying. We as viewers need to be discerning and open minded when viewing content on CZcams.

Incredible Art Work!❤
Maybe you could mention if a story is fictional or not? 👍
The more that I look into this story the more I begin to believe that it was made up by the subscriber who submitted it in. There are no news articles about a women disappearing in the south Australian town of Watervale. For some reason I keep getting directed to the disappearance of a marathon runner called "Elisa Curry" who actually went missing in the state of Victoria and involved no paranormal or supernatural activity.
There should be a disclaimer at the beginning of the video or in the videos description addressing the story as being a work of fiction otherwise viewers that do not look further into the story will believe it as truth. Just putting "A subscriber story" in the title and description is a little bit misleading as all it means is an account of a story from a subscribers point of view. After all, the channel describes itself to "cover the most chilling cases throughout history" rather then tell fictional stories like over channels such as Mr. Nightmare and MrCreepyPasta. If you want to tell fictional stories then just say that it is a fictional story.
Thanks, I'll take this on board. The thing is, I'm never sure whether it's a fictional story or not as not all the details are provided. I don't want to insult the person who submitted it by calling them a liar, which is effectively what I would be doing if I labelled it fictional. Maybe a bit more digging on my part is required, so I'll bear that in mind.
Omega OMG. You people need to JUST STOP. This is CZcams, and we're here for entertainment. All of this self righteous crap about how disappointed you are because the stories may not be "real."
Unsubscribe then and move on. It's your loss only.
+Barbara T I'm just giving constructive feedback on the video, nothing wrong with a little criticism. If you can't handle it then don't read critical comments and go on your marry way watching your "entertainment".
@@user-to4fe8gv2z your annoying
+Robert Featherstone well after all omega is the symbol for resistance.

Is it a true incident? coz i was googling this and i couldnt find anything :(
No its not
Keep it up, it's great entertainment
Love Bedtime Stories, but I tried to find info. about this saga online & there is none. There is a discussion board where the consensus is that while there is indeed a place called Watervale, this event never took place, that the story is bogus. It seemed a bit contrived to me when listening to it. Surprised the team didn't confirm this as factual i.e. reported in the media - before presenting it as a true story of a mysterious disappearance of a real person.
Awesome stories, my new favorite website! Will make donation soon.
Sounds like a 'Missing 411' case.
Sounds like a fake ass fantasy write up by a subscriber. I fuckin' hate these.
That was really creepy. And the music......😲
I love this channel ❤️ I wish there was some advice about what to do in bad situations.
