How do you know he's on steroids?
Well it's simple. Human body is not design to grow to this size. It's pretty easy to spot who is natural and who is not.

+Lethal Bacon he can make you laught AND beat up your bully win win

Lmao
came here 1 year ago to learn how to do my first pullup, i can now do up to 15 without stopping and i've been working out for a year now, thank you scooby!
Keep It Up! I used to do only 10 push ups and like 3 pull-ups, now I stopped doing pull-ups for a month and now can do 10 (used to do 20+) but I now could do like 35 push-ups in a row.
+Rich Homie Quan Nice! I used to do 55 push-ups without a problem.
i can fo 96 pushups straight. and 31 pullups
I can do 5 or 6 in one go thanks to this video and Im still at least 10-20kgs overweight haha.
Kids and teenagers have great strength to weight ratios. Its crazy how fast they can go up rock climbing walls at my gym.
I couldn't do 1 damn pull up, nor chinup. I followed his method and now I can do more than 10 with great form. This really works!
Way to go!!
How long did it take.. Did you train other mucels or did you only do this
Thousands of men and women have gone from not being able to do a single pullup to being able to crank out 8 flawless reps using the simple program outlined in this video! Please also checkout this similar program for pushups: Increase your pushups! Unfortunately I have had to turn off comments on youtube. If you have questions for me, I can be reached at Sweat4health.
are you sure thats good for beginners? i have issues with phase 1 when i do the walk the planks with the chinups 8 times 5 sets my forearm is hurting after that...is that a good sign or a bad sign of overtraining? i do 8 reps and 5 sets of push ups parallel to train my front
sasa ha yes it's suppose to following these stages in order will get you to do a lot of pull ups it worked for me. I got this pull up bar like 2 months ago but can never do pull ups so I found this vid Like a month ago and followed this shit for like 3 weeks and now I can do 3 sets of 10 rep
To go from phase 4 to 5 do you need 5 x 8 chin ups? So in total 40? Or 8 in total? Or 8 in at least one set?
Hy thought k
scooby1961 thousands is stretching it
I remember me watching this video when i was 14 when i wanted to learn how to do my first chin up and i followed his steps and it worked :D
Now this video popped onto my recommendation after 5 years. I'm 19 now and still go to gym and have gotten very strong
Maybe this guy is the reason i have achieved my goal
Thanks :)
great to hear!
This time last year I couldn't do a single pull up (or chin up), but I saw this video and did exactly what it laid out. Starting with negatives I eventually got a real pullup, then another and another. At 12 the progress stopped so I started using a weight belt. Now I do sets of 5 with 70lbs added and can do a normal set well into the 20s.
Danke Sehr, Scooby.
+William Burton That is AWESOME!!! Congratulations!!!! :)
Wow it works that good?!
+hannes jacobsson It does! it's very important to remember though that he wasn't lying at the start when he said that one of the easiest ways to improve your pullups is to lose weight. When I started working on pullups, I also started doing cardio and other exercise regularly and dropped from 195 to 150... being 45lbs lighter really helps as well.
William Burton wow! I think I'll get a pullupbar for christmas or something like that. Do you think that I possibly could reach 3 chin-ups after 6 months? I can't do any right now I think...
William Burton also, congratulations!
I couldn't get the chair to do any pull ups. What am I doing wrong?
LOL!
gotta get that hat
4 years ago, I remember desperately looking for a CZcams video on how to do a first pull-up, and i found this one. I didn't actually believe i would ever be able to do one, but i was wrong. This video helped me a lot. The first one was the hardest. Now i can do more than 30 strict pull-ups, and to this day i am gratefull to Scooby's video that helped me a lot!
:) that is awesome!!
when he said "This is the final phase" I thought of " THIS ISN'T EVEN MY FINAL FORM!!!"
too much Dragon Ball Z
😂😂😂
You look like bill nye with muscles and a weird hat

Hello Scooby! After a year of struggling with following your instructions, today I was able to do 2 full chin-ups! I can't believe I was able to do so. But today I did. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I started with the chair plank routine. I gave up many times but resumed later on. Now, my arms and chest are starting to get into shape and I am very much looking forward to do my first pull-up. God Bless you for helping others with this amazing yet simple video.
That is AWESOME!! Congratulations!
A year?
The Bob Ross of fitness!
I've got a lot of respect for this guy, very simple basic good solid advice in each vid he makes
Scooby's hat is like Samson's hair, it's the source of his amazing strength.
Hey Scooby! Just wanted to pop in and say thanks. I did 6 Chin ups in a row and 3 pull ups thanks to you. Didn't think it was possible.
amazing!!!
awesome man going to try if I can do them at the gym tomorrow I just started working out 2 months ago.. I could do one pull-ups when I started .. I wanted to see if I improved a bit and can do more. if not will use the Scooby exercise's to work my way up :-)
What fitness videos is CZcams suggesting for you right now? Am I missing any categories? 1) Fat loss shortcuts ... which dont work 2)muscle gain secrets ... from a fake natty 3)fitness-entertainment & made up drama 4)ridiculous muscle gain advice 5)faked transformations (photoshop).
scooby1961 I just search up how to do an pull up
Hi, youtube just suggested me your 40 mil views chest exercise. I came across this after first discovering your channel from 4chan and looking up your playlists to see if there are any basics, since you have so many videos. Do you have a section on nutrition? If so, could you point me towards it?
Also, thank you for everything.
what do you think about athlen x ?
Buzzfeed spam
Your still alive? Jk btw
Pullups are a great gauge of overall fitness! Remember that increasing pullups is a two pronged task, first to reduce bodyfat and second to increase strength. You can do eight pullups by doing one or the other but to really crank out the pullups requires both strength and low bodyfat.
+scooby1961 Do it hurt?
+Kelly14UK I am nine I can only do 12 pull ups and 13 chin ups in maybe one weeks without doing anything but it hurt only when you are a beginner
+My Classmate its not impressive your 9 you way 70 lbs its not hard to do a pull up if you way nothing
scooby1961 veteran I can tell
My Classmate mate your too young how do you know 😂
I'm determined...My first try was using a dresser I kind of got 1 lol

@helloharper asked to see this plan written out, SEE THE VIDEO DESCRIPTION! The link is there!
+scooby1961 Thank you for the help! I'm roughly 5'8 tall and 240lbs and I honestly can't do a pull up to save my life. I am only a beginner in the game and I just want to get fit.
+scooby1961 Can you do a video of you doing all the stuff on the seals fitness test if so then here is where I found what they have to do navyseals.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/physical-screening-test-instruction-1220-100.pdf
+scooby1961 Thanks my friend. I'm at 6ft & 280 lbs. I can do just one pull up & consider myself a beginner as well..Thank you again.

scooby1961 Scooby great video🙂🙂🙂 especially on my favourite upper body exercise, the pull up. Your pectoral muscles are beastial here man💪💪💪 and yes I mean that in a good way😄😄😄 please keep doing what you're doing. Excellent channel for motivation, training tips, diet, reaching goals in both fitness AND life, which very much go hand in hand for me. I subscribed last week. Much love, respect and admiration, from the fiercely proud Republic of Ireland☘☘☘. Peace Scooby🙂🙂🙂
Really helpful video. Now i can perform pullups confidently using this program. I am gym goer and it was difficult for me to do 2 -3 pullups though i can do 5 chinups.

That's two chinups, what about pull ups bro?
Who else was waiting for the bar to break
+AKayA Trojan Mine has a slight bow in it now, I weight 82 kg, let me tell you a chin up is hard enough let alone a pull up.

Actually i been doing gym for like 8 and half months now and been pushing myself for chinups but after i saw this video, it almost take me 2 weeks, to do 2 chinups all by myself..
U can do more pullups than chinups?
Wetrox- Gota XD ahahahahaha I can do 5 chin ups and 2 pull ups
"You get to start experiencing some pain" said in the most gentle tone and that smile LMFAO
Thanks, Scooby, for bringing this excellent progression to those of us who are looking for it. I've been using this progression for several weeks and it is definitely building solid muscles. I'm on Phase 3 and doing one full and one partial chin up every set, so the goal is in sight.
2 videos a week until I retire new years eve! scoobysworkshop.com/scoobys-last-video/ set notifications to "All" to see my last vids!
Scooby thanks very much. It takes a smart man2 have a catchy name on youtube. Nailed it. Clear slow easy kind instructions- check. Body of work over chippy arrogance, in spades. Cheers
This was the video that started it all for me and my fitness journey, and I can honestly say because of your guidance that my quality of life and love of lifting has gone up because of you. Goodbye Scooby, thank you for everything.
can you do 8 pullups though
Thanks scooby! I am 14 years old and am 145 pounds. I recently received a pull up bar for my birthday and tried to do some pull-ups, but then I realized that I am super weak. I will follow this 5 phase plan and I hope that it works. Wish me luck!
+Jim Slim you will be cranking out the pullups before you know it. Awesome gift by the way!?!
Jim Slim wow what a gift 😍
Oh yeah! It was a terrific gift. I feel stronger now then I ever have in my life!
@@jimslim9593 can you do pull ups now?
Yes I can! This program works amazingly! I can do about 8-10 consecutively now depending when I do them.@@flashgordon6510
Thanks so much for everything scooby, my whole life i wasn't able to do a pull-up and lived in shame about it. To the point i gave up exercise completely (was a really good swimmer), because of the frustration. Now at almost 29 years old I'm able to do 6 pull-ups in a row weighting roughly 200 pounds, and I'm looking to add more to the list. From the bottom of my heart thank you, this channel literally changed my life and helped me get trough a lot of things. This was the very first video i saw from you, and i love it because i didn't feel intimidated which encouraged me to do more and go beyond i thought it was possible, I'm never going to be a victim anymore. Thank you so much Scooby!!
Hey Scooby.. You were my inspiration 6 years ago. I used to follow all your rotines and I made them mines too :) I thank you for the achivements I reached and for the healthy live I have today!
By the way, I can do muscle up now ^^
Cheers from Portugal

STOP BUYING VITAMINS!!! Here is why: scoobysworkshop.com/2015/11/01/why-you-should-stop-taking-vitamins/
+scooby1961 i'm so happy i just got my 4th chin up i can't wait for ny 8th thank you so much scooby this is working
What if u take vitamins and eat fruits and vegs
+scooby1961 Your Arnold growl is funny btw.
+scooby1961 This advice is so way off point…you should refrain from further embarrassing yourself with nutritional advice. Vitamin overdose? Really? Are you shilling for Big Agra?
IF you eat like garbage, yes, you SHOULD immediately eat better, that’s your health problem right there... Food is health care, medicines are sick care.
And YES, one should NOT take vitamins as an excuse oneself for bad eating habits.
But to suggest one CAN get sufficient amounts of vitamins from a good diet is ignorant of the awful nutritional quality of factory foods we are offered in America. EVEN GOOD FOODS.
We’ve been growing food in America over 200 years.
When growing, plants take up almost 77 regular and trace minerals from the ground.
So what do we usually do? Fertilize.
BUT that only replaces 3-4 minerals to the ground.
You can do the math yourself. Simple
Our food supply is depleted of essentiual nutrients.
EVEN eating good foods doesn’t supply near the amounts needed.
If you eat like garbage, taking vitamins at least replenishes some of the lost vital ingredients in your food.
Even a carefully crafted, well balanced diet of organic products is STILL generally depleted because of the above equation.
Any national government agency’s advice is riddled with ‘science’ supplied by vested interests.
The MRDA are a joke and have been for years.
I agree, eating healthy is your best insurance.
But ‘supplements’, by definition bolster and support the dreafuul food available to the general public.
Stick to advice about bodybuilding. You appear to be better suited at that.
+scooby1961 Its all good. I take really good vitamins.
THANK YOU!!! I've been so intimidated with the bar exercises until finding your video. I'll be trying this now. I've never been so excited to try the chin up and pull ups before. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge to help others (me!!) get fit.
I think you´re great. Im on my way to doing my first pull up and very happy about it :)
Wow a no ad, no adlink technique I can apply today. Thanks from Canada, friend!
Because of you I can do pull ups now! Thank you very much!!

Just loved the star wars scrolling style of text at the end.
Nice vid, thanks for making it
An amazingly simple & instructive video. With this video, I think I may finally get rid of my pull/chin-up phobia. Thank you mate!
Never in my life have I been able to do a pull up. I'm eager to give this program a go and see results. Thanks for the info, Scooby!
Scoopy. This video and program is great. I am in stage 4 and loving it. I can do 5 good chin ups now. Thanks a million man

This video is the reason I can do pullups now! Thank you, Scooby!
Hey Scooby, wanted to thank for you this great tip. A year and a half ago, i couldnt even do a single pull-up. After doing your recommendation and slowly building up i can now dish them out like pancakes thank God
there is only one
Nice sound affects dude
Hey man. I just wanted to say thanks. I watched this video for the first time about three years ago. I couldn't do a single (clean) pull-up back then, and they were very intimidating to me. I do pull-ups regularly now. This video helped me a lot to get started. Thanks!
Life is Awesome how long did it take you
A wealth of information. I like the fact that every min of your videos packs useful knowledge.
"Walk the plank, grrrrrr"
Scooby, thanks for the inspiration. This program really helped me. I never thought I would be able to do 8 solid pullups. I did 10 for the first time today. I'm 48 years old.
Scooby, I found your website probably 5 years ago and it changed my life. I haven't been as consistent as I wish I had but thank you for helping me get started with fitness and being healthier.
You are quite welcome! Glad I could help!
Scooby, you're awesome. Thanks for the cool videos and cool vibes
You have the loveliest voice in the world!
I just wanted to thank you Scooby for this video. I first saw this video in 2013, and I was only able to do 2 reps. Now 2015, 39 years old going on 40 years old, I can now perform 4 sets of 10 reps both chin up and pull up. Sometimes even hanging a 10 pound weight on my waist. I'm in the best shape of my life, thanks again for the advice in your video.
Scooby - you have really hit the nail on the head for me. I have been looking for something like this. Im going to the fitness park in a few to try this. I have an extensive fitness background but injuries incapacitated me. Ive never been able to do many pull ups so Im gonna work on this. THANKS A BUNCH!
this guy is the best .he cares about are safety while showing the best methods of working out
This was the first vid I ever watched of you scooby, now I can do 16 pull ups and 20 chin ups!
the coach from The Waterboy got ripped..
great video thanks for the advice
I've been working out for three months now and your advice got me to 50 pull ups (in multiple sets) yesterday! Thank you Scooby!
That is awesome!! Congratulations!!!
Thank you so much! I'm following your guidance and its working. I'm focusing on building my core before moving on to weights. I'm only doing sit ups, pull ups, squats/lunges and chin ups at the moment. That combined with a good meal plan and lots of sleep. I feel so much more motivated and productive...even at work. Thank you!
Nice shirt Scooby.
Yo Bill Nye is huge
thank you scooby. i just found out about your channel and i immediately stumbled upon this video. i can't do pull ups atm. I am very positive now about trying it again after watching this video! just wanted to say your video is great, instant fan of you :)
I just want to say that I think that's great your helping people as these are by far a grand daddy movement and as a weight-liter of some 38 years I totally suck at these but Damn It! Not for long as I'm gonna give er Hell come Hell or high water! Thx Scooby 1961 for the boost brother... God Bless- Too be continued...
Scooby you're so wholesome
Not showing off that you can do 9999 pullups but faking struggle so that your viewers wont feel so bad about themselves
LOL! Actually I cant do all that many pullups :)
i'm worried about the ceiling tho
Thanks Scooby, for not having any music playing while you give you instructions !
Scoob. U earn my respect by showing your passion teaching others. Salute. I like ur pea soup recipe
Thanks!
Thank you so much for this! I couldn't do a single pull-up one month ago, but after following your advice I can now do three. Thank you, really helpful video :D
That is AWESOME!!! Congratulations!
The headgear is deeply distressing.
This is one of the best videos you have ever put out - anytime I read pull up articles and someone complains about not being able to do a single one I post the link. It's sad that a lot of us aren't able to do a single pull up.
This actually worked surprisingly well, I went from zero pull ups to completing my first 8 yesterday, thank you Scooby
you are the best that's all i have to say!!!
thanks!
I'm one of those guys who's impatient and can't wait two whole days before doing the next exercise... Hell, I can barely wait every _other_ day!

this actually works great for people who cant even do one pull up in the beginning...Great ..Need more videos like this! Thank you
love the video.
love the knowledge you impart and love the noises you make in phase 1.
4:35 lmao
I found the problem why i cant do pull ups....
I have not such a sexy hat as he does
Agreed
Walking the plank is a great idea I am glad I found this video I would have never thought of that to help me with my pull ups. Great video for beginners and those out of shape!
Wooow!! TBH It's been years since the last time I saw any of your videos on the front page!! Great to see CZcams recommendations are improving.
I just started this week! I'll keep you posted.
How's it going?
I must admit that I'm not following Scooby's technique to the letter because I incorporated it into my other lifting but his "walk the plank" technique has definitely helped me increased my strength in a way that's so much more satisfying than increasing wt. on the bar bell. When I started, my 1rst rep I had just enough strength so lower myself without falling but by the end of the 8th rep I was just dropping. It didn't make sense to do more than 2 sets because I was completely depleted. Now, after a month, I can actually hold myself for several seconds. I still can't do a chin up because I'm trying to lose weight. My biggest problem is having trouble eating a calorie deficit and getting enough protein in a day. But consistency is the key and this is actually my favorite exercise because I can feel the gradual improvement!
I am in an interesting place physically. I have plateaued but I'm definitely stronger than I've ever been. I started a desk job almost two months ago so I've been slacking off on my routine, however even when I was giving it my all I wasn't able to lose any weight. This was very frustrating and confusing. It's hard to do a pullup when you're being weighed down. So , while my muscles grew I couldn't shed the fat. Good news is, I did some research and found a connection between the medication I've been taking and weight gain. I talked to my doctor and I've been going off the meds for the last couple of weeks. I should be off complete by the end of the month and then it takes awhile to completely leave my system. Scoobys routine has definitely helped me see results (I can definitely hold myself up on the bar like never before) but until I can lose weight I've been struggling to advance. I'm not quitting. My workload at the job has lightened so I'm hoping to get back in the gym, hit the weights, and lose some weight loss. I'll keep you posted.
GREAT video! I'm going to see if a 45 year old woman can start doing pull ups!
How is it going today? :D
I really do appreciate this video Scooby and the detailed instructions on your website!
This dude is what Putin so desperately wants to see in the mirror when he takes his shirt off.
truly
+Tentons O'fun I dont think so, he got other things on his mind. and by the way... he would beat your ass up anytime.
As long as I'm tranqued with 6 Russian Secret Servicemen holding me down. Wouldn't want to play hockey against him though, didn't he score 6 goals against their Olympic goal keeper? I love his act but he's basically the presidential equivalent of a WWF wrestler and the way he insists on taking his shirt off with the worlds most average body is kinda weird considering he is rounding up all the homosexuals.
what is this political bullshit doing here?
This great guy gives a good instruction on how to do pull ups and you come up with some completley unrelated hateful
He's an 8th dan Judo black belt. He would beat your ass up without breaking a sweat.
AHHAHAH i love him ahhahahahaha best vid because of his bucket hat and his hilarious noises LMAO
This is how I learned to do pull ups! Thank you Scooby!
Thanks, Scoob. Im 58, rotator cuff issues, just getting back into weight training. I'm doing both over and underhand, plus dips. Will give this routine a shot. Looks great.
Trust me guys, this workout is killer. But it works, as long as you don't give out on it, it will work! Don't forget to keep eating lots of protein.
