this is video is good and helpful, a spinning saw blade is a good demonstration of slow motion even though the capability is limited to 60fps. thank you for putting the extra effort in to make a complicated video about settings for slow-mo on the sony a7ii. also, that saw is a boss looking tool.
Great explanation! Do you always shoot in slow motion? I think doing so gives you the advantage of having a slow-mo anytime you want it, but I think it takes more space on your card, is that the case?
what memory card you recommend to record in this higher settings? I use the one that come with my camera but it is slow and I cant record at 60fps, I have to buy another one
Quelle carte SD va avec ? Car j'ai une micro carte SD XAVC de 64go qui ne prend pas en charge le format XAVCS de mon Sony... Est-ce que le Style: UHS-I ou UHS-II importe beaucoup pour la carte SD ?
@@christianjmedia yes , i have changed it to NTSC and i can see them. Although it doesn't records in slow motion , Do i need change or edit it later through some app ?
Its a pretty good camera still but if your looking for the best quality I would defiantly explore different options with the current capabilities of cameras you can find something for the same price that shoot better videos IMO
It will playback on the camera in full speed, it only slows down when you put it into your editor on a 24fps timeline 24fps time line with 60fps footage basically gives you double the frames which are needed to slow down your footage, so its basically only slow motion when it gets into your editor of choice.

That’s 100% correct it takes allot more space but your able to slo mo whenever you want with it.

I would recommend any card that’s XAVC-S as it’s able to do All the recording modes and qualities
Bro one question what mode do you record in manual or the movie mode or is it called video mode
Manual, or the M on the camera.
What were your export settings for the a7ii footage?
Honestly don't remember lol sorry but if I had to guess it would be a 24fps export in 4k resolution CBR at around 32,000Kbs
How do you use slow motion for playback please??
It’ll happen in your editor of choice you can’t see it in camera
why i cannot change the record setting in my a7ii to 60p 50m? its only 50p 50m :(
It’s locked to your region.
Hello friend, I had a small problem. My set is not showing 60p .. it shows only 50p and 25p… help
That means your in PAL standard so 50p is your 60p
Set it in 50p and you should still have slow motion
Hello brother, i tried that setting on my sony a7 ii but its not doing slow motion!!!!!
Help please
Slow motion is applied in the editor you just need to capture 60fps footage and edit it on a 24fps timeline and it’ll be slow.
Hi I am only seeing 50P 50M and 25P 50M . there is no 60P 50M .
What to do ? ☹️
50p is still slow motion your camera is just set to PAL standard instead of NTSC it’s based off of your region.
@@christianjmedia yes , i have changed it to NTSC and i can see them. Although it doesn't records in slow motion ,

My record setting options are different to yours and I don’t understand why
Make sure your camera i'snt in PAL and set to NTSC
Do you think it's good to shoot music video with it.

If u are good at manual focus yeah, but the autofocus on this thing is so slow
It does work :( ty for trying but when I film and play it back it’s not in slow mo :(

Also put your video speed to 50% in your editing program
This too ❤️

@@Jontheecreator I appreciate you asking this because I had the same question and I'm also new at this.

Unfortunately some people actually don’t know these things my guy. I’m Just helping out 🙏🏽
60p 30p & 24p not showing how to solve
Solve witch way bro?
@@christianjmedia I have the same problem, the video settings are only 50p 50M and 25p 50M
@@thisismyaccount765 your in PAL standards meaning 60p in NTSC is 50p in PAL so if your seeing 50p it’s correct
@@christianjmedia ahh ok thanks!
Search up PAL vs NTSC on google and it’ll break it down better in more detail, glad I could help 💪🏾
