    Tsitsipas striding slowly towards the umpire and then uttering the sentence: "There's a person imitating a bee behind me.", with all the gravitas he could bring up, that just made my day.

    I like the way Sascha was talking to the supervisor and the umpire. No arguing, only constructive thoughts. Absolute class.

    Zverev was right, though. I was watching some matches and when there was a break in one court, music would be played and you could hear it from all the other courts nearby where the game was being played. It's ridiculous. You don't need music.

    Great umpiring from Fergus. Regardless of what you think of the rule itself he applied it and then explained it very clearly and quickly

    8:40 Milos is right here. This rule makes no sense. We're supposed to assume that part of the net doesn't exist but if he were to hit an "around the net" shot, that part of the net could stop it. Also, Frances crossed to the other side of the court with his hands and head and basically his whole upper body. Also, had the imaginary part of the net not been there, probably with his legs too.

    • @georgfritzsche6399
      @georgfritzsche6399 Před 8 měsíci +6

      Crossing to the other side of the net after the shot is not forbidden. It happens quite often when players retrieve a very wide drop shot. Unfortunate for Milos, I don't know why they do not change to the singles net for a Masters 1000 match...

      Not only that, but what if you hit the net and it goes over, it's your point. Or if you hit that net, it's not your point. But the net isn't supposed to exist there....lol

      the umpire is correct, the net that Frances and Milos were playing is a doubles net, so after a single's post, there is no net, so Frances technically didn't run into the net, therefore he didn't touch the net, and therefore the point goes to Frances

    Is there one situation where the supervisors have revoked some previous decision of the umpire or is there anything positive that the supervisors have done to make the player satisfied? Not ever. Can anyone tell me why the supervisors is for? I have a feeling that the umpire has more importance than anyone on the court and that his decision cannot be refuted by anyone. They are absolutely useless. I'm not talking just about this video, I'm saying in generally
