    I had to call my boss in to reprogram our CMM its a older model of timkin .It went down. Ive used the CMM but never had to reprogram it.. Is there a video out there.? From start to finish tk u

    1. Through a 3D Model
    2. By using an actual Machined part ?

      The model to me is superior. The model defines not only the perfect part geometry, but the direction of measurement (approach vector) the CMM moves when measuring the part. There are important factors to consider when using the model, chief of course is the quality of the model itself.

      if accurate : than answer is actual machined parts.. using 3d sometimes probe not touch as exactly as we want.. but still great tho

    You’re just trading the time of a CMM programmer/QE for the time of a designer/engineer. Thats why he says “oh there is some upstream work but we aren’t getting into that today”. 😂😂
