Thank you! I just replaced the battery on my Mitutoyo caliper and it would not stay at zero after it was powered off. Holding the "init" button zeroed it out properly.
Nice
Where can i find replacement parts for mitutoyo blade micrometers?
In other words learn how much force to use until you get a result you like, rather than the result that is in reality. It should be a blind test, use mechanical spring type of force to ensure equal force each time.
Is there any update for Windows 11? when updating the computer the app stopped working, it must not be compatible
Hi, which kind of cable did you use to data transmission? I know is a RS232 but what configuration.
In my opinion and most others interapid is vastly superior.
Pretty straight forward and easy. Thanks.
Why standardize laziness? That is all it is to "short-cut" discussion of measurements. "One thou" means nothing. "One ten thousandths of an inch," actually means something and is not so hard that you need to be lazy about it. And why be lazy and say a "micron" instead of micrometer? It is not that hard to say micrometer. What is a "mil" is at millionth of something or a thousandth of something? Be specific and ignore this oaf. If you are specific and correct, misunderstanding is not your fault, but you may need to educate your listener so that they don't make a mistake. "unwritten" and "unofficial" slang has no place in any industry that relies on precision.
One element of my job is scanning electron microscopic analysis. The scale of features is often in the range of 1 micrometer to 100 micrometers. I have never found it to be useful to be a lazy person and report measurements in "microns." Why be a lazy jerk and write "microns"? Look how easy it was for me to use actual units in the intro.
My old Job instead of using the word "Thou" for 1/1000 of an inch, they would use the word "mil" where "5 mils" would mean 5/1000 of an inch. and "mil" for 1/1000 of an inch is not to be confused with "mil" as in shortening the word "millimeter".
Is it possible to add data automatically to an excel line by line after every end of program?
Gosh, I thought he was going to break the micrometer in half trying to open the plastic packaging! I figure these micrometers are well made and most likely pretty tough, but if I just plucked down $200.00+ > $300.00 bucks for a brand new digital micrometer, I'd be a bit more gentle with it just trying to get it out of the plastic! I like idea that it opens and closes faster, but for a backyard mech who needs a micrometer once in a blue moon, is it worth the extra money? Not for me, but if money were not a factor, I'd try a slice of that pie.
Gauge*
Is there a way to remove the 5th. decimal point? I have always used the old school style micrometers and tenths was always accurate enough. The company recently bought digital micrometers. I like them but the 50 millionths decimal place can throw me off.

He needs to calibrate his MOUTH. Advertiser like him are not appreciated. He should have titled this video "Take our Courses for Calibration", one simple dumb looking instrument he was showing, was not necessary. But there are con artist like him. I disliked your video and put your channel ID in my firewall to never to watch unproductive, meaningless, and garbage ever again.
As you said about ASME b89.1.14, there is a table there containing the MPE values for checking and comparing our measurement errors like 'E'. So if E is less than the MPE value, but not zero, must we add the value of the measured E to the next measurements we take when measuring???
So if I understood correctly, calibration is essentially an accuracy test? There is no other adjustment aside from zero.
Dear Mitutoyo USA , i have a question regarding the Metrology handbook 2nd edition. i am based in Austria and i can not get this book in my Country, even thru official Mitutoyo Vendors its not accesible. is there a chance to somehow get this book ?
is there a metric digital caliper with resolution 0,001? . for example to mesure 49.094 mm
I wish I could work for such an amazing company! I love all my Mitutoyo products and treat them with respect. It just so happens that I ordered my first granite surface plate, and of course, it's a Mitutoyo. :)
Me too! I love Mitutoyo.
@@JGD444 The Best of the Best ! its everytime a Joy to use my Quantumike and the Calipers...it doesnt get old !
Given your outside calibration data test points, what minimum measurement would you be comfortable declaring this caliper be used for and how would you back up that declaration? I will tell you from experience that when presented to modern medical device auditors, they will have issues with this caliper being used for measurements smaller than the lowest calibration point (1.0").
You know you've made it when an international standard is set because it's convenient for you
Great video and great information
Mitutoyo. Super, very epic -have a nice day- 📢

Hola.. I just changed the battery but it can't turn on. How to fix it?
To best assist you, please call us at 888-Mitutoyo (648-8869).
I think it is the van der waals force that holds the blocks together.
So this may sound like a dumb question, but so if the calipers do not come within specification would they just be considered trash? Or is there a possible way to correct them
THANKS FOR LETTING ME KNOW THIS 👏
Exellent programs! Very informative and educationel. Greatings from a metric guy!😀
your videos is more about outside micrometers, how about inside micrometer?, you didn't know how to calibrate it?
inside micrometer calibration sir
Very nice!
Where can you see how to use the adjusting screws to align the jaws parallelism ?
Without the metrics system you are lost!
I need a test indicator thats not vertical or horizontal i need one with the bezel where the side plates are that way when your indicating something from the turret onto the top of the part its facing directly towards me its hard to get a horizontal one into the perfect position especially if the machine youre running sits higher up

@@MitutoyoAmerica thanks I didn't realize they made those but I wish they made an imperial .0001 graduation one that'd be awesome
The original machine had a base-plate of prefabulated amulite, surrounded by a malleable logarithmic casing in such a way that the two spurving bearings were in direct line with the pentametric fan, the latter consisted simply of six hydrocoptic marzelvanes, so fitted to the ambifacient lunar vaneshaft that side fumbling was effectively prevented.
