I really like the idea of putting flowers on graves that have been neglected. Thats a very loving and sweet thing to do :)
samhain is on a full moon this year. first time since 1944
It's so exciting! :)
my sister passed away unexpectedly a year ago today. i’ll definitely be using these tips to remember her this season. thank you. 💙
Tonight is all about honoring all the/our dead ! Beautiful concept and very spiritual night . You can feel the energy especially with this beautiful blue moon night.
What a gorgeous video! Yes, to all of this, beautiful ideas! My son and I are cleaning up trash out of a local cemetery this year. We also have an ancestor altar and leave a dish of food for any visiting spirits. Blessed Samhain!
Blessed Samhain! I'm glad you like the video :)
Thanks mickie, what a great idea !
john oneill thanks! I was taking photos for an Instagram photo challenge I’m hosting and we saw all the trash and decided to go back with trash bags.
What a great way to pay your respects by picking up trash!! I really like that Scarlet leaves flowers on graves that seem to need a little extra love. I think I'll be incorporating that next year.
The Peculiar Brunette I agree that I love Scarlett’s idea, maybe we’ll take a page out of her book and leave flowers after we clean! She’s a very clever witch!
I light candles for those who have pasted as I ask Hecate to make sure they find their way.
Some high end pumpkin carving, autumnal cooking, and meditative shadow work interacting with lost loved ones.
For me an irishman the traditional way for us to celebrate Samhain is to light a huge bonfire and essentially sit around it and celebrate, we do this every year along with pumpkin carving (turnip carving if you're up for it), trick or treating (yes that is traditional) and telling stories, dancing, having feasts etc. etc. Nowadays people here are more used to the western version of 'halloween' but some of us still light bonfires and set off fireworks!
Thank you for taking the time to do this and demonstrating theres no one true path one must follow, and that its personalized.
I already changed my altar a little bit. I plan to write in my journal about this wheel turn and reflect on what I harvested; I will also write a list of habit I want to change and I will keep it until next Samhain; I would also like to practice tarot and to clear my mind with a long meditation. Hopefully I’ll do most of this things in a park.
That’s what I plan to do, who knows what I’ll end up doing xD
Those sound like great activities for Samhain! :)
Scarlet Ravenswood Thanks and blessed Samhain 🖤
Sounds like a great samhain plan to me !
That's a lovely plan! I especially like that you're doing it outside with nature!
Such an awesome video !!! I love the Erik Satie music theme. Thank you for posting !!!
I still like to do Halloween things for Samhain. I like to dress up as Im also into cosplay and have fun with others. I like to eat some candy, even though I'm not a big sugar eater. Samhain is also a very sacred time to me personally. October was the month I started wicca and no one told me to mark down the day I started for a year and day tradition when I started so I picked Samhain as the date as its easy to remember. On Samhain I like to reconnect with the two wiccan deities and reflect on why I continue this path.
I made mulled apple cider for the first time and put it in my last video! Except I had a total fail moment because I thought "why put a whole gallon in of cider in? My husband and I can't drink all that." LOL! What a noob move because we only had about a mugs worth of cider. Oh well, next year I'll do better! I visited 2 graveyards recently and I can't begin to tell you how much I love it this time of year. It's so peaceful and I enjoy taking the time to acknowledge the natural cycle of life. Plus I love to imagine what those people were up to and what life they led while they were still living.
Beautiful video. Excellent choice in music. I love that you put flowers on the graves. I have done that in the past as well.
I recently found your channel and I am really enjoying it. Thank you for making these weekly videos.
When I saw that adorable kitty, I knew that I would enjoy this video.
I plan on visiting my Brother's and Grandfather's grave. Also going to one of my Cairn's and also visiting laylines as the energy changes to absorb the changes. I leave out goodies for those who have passed, like Crown Royal liquor and coconut by their sacred trees" their sacred Druidic Zodiac Tree ". Also preform a ritual I paint a Sun on a sacred rock, and in the morning of the 31st I paint a moon to symbolize the transition of loss of sunlight. burning dragons blood and then Jasmine for the morning , and lighting candles, gold then cobalt blue for the morning. It's my way of asking the sun to not forget us and to welcome change greeting the moon's extended nighttime.
I really like your idea of burning different colored candles at different points of the day! I've never heard of that!
@@ThePeculiarBrunette Sort of something I do, Iv'e really never seen anyone do it but myself. The ritual is about transition.....I'm not a hug fan of the freezing cold.
So thoughtful and kind you are
Very well edited! You're getting to be a pro at this!
Thanks!
Great video! For me, I'll be holding a silent dinner and seeing this as a "new year" kind of time, doing some tarot on what to expect / work on for the next year.
I've always wanted to hold a silent dinner. If you're up to sharing, tell me more about how you go about having one. Do you do it alone or invite a group?
@@ThePeculiarBrunette so first off I should tell you, this is my first Samhain so I'm kinda making it up as I go along (welcome to my practice 😅) so I had planned to do a festive meal (lots of pumpkin and cinnamon) and as I live alone, I will set a place for another person and allow spirits to consume it. 2 things I'm focusing on is protection so no unwanted spirits enter my home, and drawing the two spirits in particular with their favourite drinks. 😊
@@bethanygreenwood8259 I love that! I also celebrate what feels natural and right to me, anything else I disregard. I love the idea of a festive meal like that! I'm making some favorite foods of some departed loved ones, biscuits and gravy w/ sausage, a kahlua drink of some sort for dessert & I'm also putting out a can of tuna for my cat Albus we lost about a year ago and I still struggle with his loss greatly. Thanks for sharing!
@@ThePeculiarBrunette Yes! This sounds perfect! Have a great Samhain 💛
Bethany Greenwood thank you! You too!

Samhain seems a lot like Dia de los Muertos. Everything done in this video is what my family and I have done to celebrate our dead.
I already started collecting leaves and feather's.
What are the tarot decks name at the end of the video ?? Send lots 💕
That area looks really nice. Where do you live?
Would it be possible for you to wear tall boots with your jeans next time. Thank you
This In England ?
I like Halloween but my mom doesn't it,
Your Cinematic skills have really changed ;
You must be getting a great influence from somewhere.
Thanks! :)
Probably from the Swedish nature lover CZcamsr Jonna Jinton? Your filmmaking in this video reminds me
Of her :) love your suggestions esp nature walk. I do that all the time!

@@victoriapug49 I love Jonna Jinton! She's a great inspiration. :)
Nothing I’m not pagan just wanted to see what it was
I would recommend reading the Holy Bible
hey Jesus is Lord and he even said he would eat the meat offered to him from pegans...because truly it was his meat before them...
Its great you have a personal faith in Jesus, but leave people of other faiths and beliefs alone please.
@@richb3802 was i bothering you thats my argument against athiests ... all religions added up vastley outnumber athiests...by the way religion means "way of life" and i respest all religions untill they tell me or a friend they will sue me or attack my job because of my religion...that crosses a line sir a line the Jesus said to respect ... much respect friend...i celebrate religion not communism
thats the American freedoms defined in the bill of rights and our government is held to the constitution
an eye for an eye... i didnt personally bother you... i celebrate with you ... but you did bother me... point made
contradictory to bother someone about being bothered by something i said ...i live in America where i can freely talk...
