Sandhagen looked phenomenal against Vera. Would love to see him take on O'Malley.
That’ll be a great fight imo
That would be a fight for an interim belt. Then atleast Merab can have a reason to exist outside of his romance with the current champ
What a great idea!.
@@checharles5224 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂
@@checharles5224 lol
Sandhagen is a pleasure to watch, so much footwork and weird angles
Sandhagen has officially entered mystic level.
Cory took that loss from Yan and used it to evolve his game.
This new Cory is a threat everywhere.
I always root for those two, although I feel like yan sold out
@@warrenstringham415 How tf did Yan sell out?
@Qtards unite for Ben dover Yeah seriously how did Yan sell out? He's just on a skid, and I think his confidence is affected.
Love listening to Cory, introspective, honest, authentic.
Cory is so likeable
Cory has been my favourite fighter for a while & to see him perform like that is a great feeling
6:45 is so relatable for me… Cory is a real dude, glad he got the win
one of the best interviews of a ufc fighter I've seen, kudos to Cory for being so real
Cory "3rd Eye Open" Sandhagen p4p most mindful fighter.
This kid beat Vera like he stole something in the first two rounds, and then it was just like playing with a little cat afterwards.
He showed that there's LEVELS to this
@@warrenstringham415 not to take away from cory but vera made all the same mistakes he does every time he loses lol. once you see cory shooting and landing takedowns in the first two rounds, a guy who never shoots btw you know marlon already lost
@@cheetonation called evolving buddy, mma. Corys not just a striker. There will be a time when everybody will be well rounded and not classified as a “striker, grappler”
@@Kobkvega578 we know buddeh, we know. youve dropped the most generic comment ive ever seen
True but he’s not a kid
"Not a smart guy" and proceeds to drop knowledge on all of us. Really became a fan of his with this interview.
Sandhagen and Ferguson have that body type that makes them look like walking knives
As someone that plays UFC 4... Sandhagen vs O'Malley is always a guaranteed banger 💣
How amazing and rare to have someone have such deep insight/understanding of their potential flaws and showing the willingness to change/grow as a person, massive kudos to the Sandman
I think Cory is the fighter in which I can visibly see his level up in between fights and it’s beautiful congrats Cory
Such a genuine dude. How are you not a fan of his if you follow the sport. Can't wait to see what's next for em. 👊
I'm a huge fan of Vera's personality also but my estimation of his potential plummeted. He's clearly a tier below the best guys
@@jugo1944 and thats okay. he might still be an awesome guy. not everyone can be champion in the ufc, even if they are a champion in their life. its not about howe high your cieling is, its about doing your best. whatever that is. strive to do your best. take breaks when you need.
@@JordoniusOfFrisia We'll need to see if he's willing to change his fight strategy and try to win every round
Sandbacon is the kind of warrior poet that some youtubers and others delusionally think they are
cory is really just a great person!
Seems like Chito's gameplans lately have been to let guys tee off on him until they tire but Sandhagen never even looked winded in there! Props to coach Parillo trying to encourage Marlon in-between rounds but nothing could have stopped Corey last Saturday. Already seeing excuses like Chito beat himself. Why can't a guy just be better for once?
Chito got completely outclassed. End of conversation
he was simply in the zone
Bisping is the most biased commentator for sure lol "Chito beat himself"
He kind of did.
He wasted two rounds waiting for an opening instead of making those openings himself.
Easy to see from the comfort of my couch.
Believe you me podcasts sucks Chito balls including Anthony Smith that Corey has nothing to over Vera. Corey is evolving every fight and mixing it up.
Sandhagen keeps leveling up. The way he dominated Chito from bell to bell was impressive. Class act as well. I’m a big fan
Sandhagen looked laser focused during the fight. I liked his ESPN interview too
dude really made a killer like Chito look harmless
Chito had bad plan, I like how everyone is not supporting him anymore and saying that there's levels, Chito can always readjust and comeback stronger.
@@MMA_CAT Chitos one of the fighters that doesn’t have a plan and tries too game plan in the fight, he’s naturally a slow starter and likes too read people. Which against Cory he needed to FIGHT FIGHT aka turn it into a fast paced kick boxing match. But someone as smart as Cory who’s mixing in takedowns, flying knees, and great kicks keeps you thinking and slow to engage. Did I mention the best foot work in the division?
@@MMA_CAT maybe because people are trying to take away that Cory is simply better in all aspects. Yes Chito can improve, but he was a deer in the headlights, currently lost in his game plan.
The Sandman 🔥
I’m seriously inspired by Cory, I think he’s a future champion 100%, I’m going to buy that book, and what he said about being your greatest self in relationships really resonates with me because it’s something that I’ve messed up myself. God bless Sandhagen 🙏
Sorry which one was it?
Can tell Corey deals with some heavy depression. It is truly inspirational to see someone overcome those demons and become a true artist in his craft. Genuine dude, incredible martial artist.
How can you tell? Imo, he's just a self-absorbed and introverted guy.
@@warrenstringham415 If you know, you know. Feeling small, insignificant, and useless are key indicators. Pretty obvious if you read between the lines.
@@warrenstringham415MMA is the sport of self promotion, I don't see him being self absorbed, just self- promotional.
@@warrenstringham415 not self absorbed. but very self aware. people that are highly cerebral in life do struggle more day to day because of the heightened awareness. those who know, can see it in others sometimes. cerebral people try to hide how aware they are often times with surface level discussion, smiling a lot, maybe jokes, a character (eluding to colby here) it can be many things but the point is most people dont vibe well with people who are "nerotic" as cory put it. and yes, its very inspirational to all the extremely thoughtful people.
I can tell your depressed and anxious and obsessisve all through your comment on my phone
I like Cory. He’s a great philosopher, a learned man, and a humble thinker. Encouraging and inspiring to hear this man talk. Happy to hear he’s in a good space.
open, honest, and sincere, too.
"I don't think I'm a very smart guy" all actually smart people
I think his boxing defense just looked amazing
It took some crazy discipline from cory in that fight to not get caught and for that he gets my respect
Some of the best foot work out there. The chain wrestling was fantastic! Let's Go Sandhagen! Let's Go Denver MMA!!
Like this dudes vibe. Cool, humble, and introspective
Love the universal commission idea and the conversation yall had about it as well. 🤟🏾
This just just became one of my favorite fighters. Thank you for this interview!
Love Sandhagen. He needs to do another JRE, and Ariel is the best in the game.
Well thought, well spoken, well fought, and always entertaining. I think this fight was the culmination of Cory harnessing everything he’s been feeling since the flying knee on Edgar. With TJ, we saw the violence, but he wasn’t quite as in touch. A lot of high risk high reward when i don’t believe it was necessary for him to be in a winning situation. Against Yan, I think we saw a vast improvement on that, but unfortunately it was a very short notice fight and even if he won’t make that excuse for himself, it’s understandable. With Yadong everything started coming together and his performance against chito was near flawless. Always tough waiting to see more from this guy
I love Chito and I was rooting for him. But i was disappointed was he looking for the one big punch? Any who Corey looked great. The upper cut combos were on point as well as the kicks at the end of a flurry. Credit where credit is due well done Corey. He called it it was one sided.
Chito was trying. Cory makes you miss
Inspiring, profound interview. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing this Cory S. I can relate keep being you and sharing it’s an inspiration
Has me as a fan after that fight. A lot of great fighters in the division.
this interview helped me actually a lot. wow.
That was a badass performance, and I'd be extremely surprised if he was to put up a competitive fight against Merab.
P.s. Men may forget you, but if God knows you, then you'll be ok.
Really needed this quote lol
Merab Aka min belal is the most boring fighter in the ufc Cory should avoid him he’s not a gatekeeper he’s not fighting aljo for the belt
Cory sandman’s stand up is beautifully violent to watch, EVERY TIME. Sandman hardcore right here
I hate that corey isnt a superstar. Amazing style, highlight kos, real AF.
He's not one because he's not a character ....
He is one
@12:45 I could definitely see the possibility of being on the spectrum. Laser focus and entire different way of processing information. Super cool.
10:15 "Puh-sponement" 😂 Postponement, Ariel. Lol
Fantastic interview.
That was a banger interview
Amazing performance by the Sandman! I can't believe Chito is #3 in the rankings, he is a bit overrated!
What a refreshingly honest and introspective interview with Cory. I like him more everytime I see him.
sandhagen is a good interview always thoughtful answers
Not many fighters a could watch fight all day and listen to all day Love this guy ✌️
His interviews are just as good as his fights.
I really enjoy watching Cory fight as well as his interviews. He gives me Dominick Cruz vibes with the way he breaks down fighting and his process, great fight Saturday!
What an incredible interview
Cory is such an interesting guy I love the stuff he talks about
Ariel thanks for the talk on the mental side of a fighter! I'd LOVE to know how *exactly* fighters handle depression.
Amazing and inspiring dude.
3:11
"i was listening to some... aah... carl jung, something"
Ariel is great interviewer, he doesn't just fire away questions he is a great listener and relaxes the interviewee to speak freely. This is a very good interview. I always liked those Mike Perry ones he did a couple of years ago too, for example. Anyway, glad that Cory is feeling good and speaking hi smind
I’m such a Chito fan but really like Cory. Amazing performance and seems like a really good dude.
Believe it or not it will be harder to be forgotten because of the Internet and social media and all that good stuff
I love how the greatest killers of the UFC all sound like Choir Boys and Straight Edge people... Cory Sanhagen Jon Jones Dominick Cruz, Anderson Silva, Shogun... And many other soft spoken killers. Alot in MMA.
Straight Edge people?
patiently waiting for Cory to start posting striking tips’n’tricks😩😮💨 please share your wizardly knowledge.
What a performance. I'm not sure he should've called out Merab.... I think O'Malley is the better fight, and more winnable. But he's got some balls though, NOBODY probably wants to fight Merab right now. Lol.
I picked Vera by 4th round KO..... you made a fool out of me. Well done. 💪💪💪💪
Cool dude. A lot of really down to earth athletes these days. Pretty cool.
Realest dude in the UFC
How can you not like this guy. Hope he blows up soon, he deserves it.
Seems like a cool, humble guy.. and a fun fighter to watch! Kinda like how Frankie Edgar seems like a good guy, however his [wrestling] fighting style doesn't make me tune in.
Regarding the 3m12s mark on possibly Carl Jung and how what you do is not important.. when did he recommend Ram Dass' Be Here Now (8m30s)?
One of my new favorite fighters
Cory is truly an inspiration!
Enjoying all the moments in life is very important, even if it gets tough, no regrets and just pure gratitude for the life and job/career you have, enjoy everything because it will come to an end.
I have noticed a condescending tone he has with reporters sometimes so I can see what’s he’s saying about himself glad he noticed it.
I love that he brought up be here now
So happy for this man...he did amazing
Sandman v Suga Sean. That's the matchup I wanne see.
A focused Cory, 🤯 I feel for his future opponents.
Was rooting for chito but Sandhagen is a good dude. Happy for him.
I would love to see how Corey could blossom under the tutelage of say, Dominick Cruz. He’s like a new age mixture between TJ and Dom. Straight up killer.
Hands down 1 my favorite fighters reminds me of old school Dominick Cruz
"That's not the type of art I want to make in my life"-EPIC
Seems like an honest guy awesome 👍🏻
Such a good dude
Presence, awareness is key.......well done Cory. 50 - 45 Cory...total domination.....outclassed him everywhere.....the Chito hype train is over......i love it.
Only defense the ufc has about the commission and things like that is the sport is so dam young compared to other major sports that are dam need a century old. MMA and especially the ufc is around 30 years old and they’re growing so much quick then they probably ever expected. In 60-70 years I can imagine how much these fighters will be making and how fine tuned this sport and promotion will be
The stuff he says about not putting pressure on himself... I'm taking that to the bank. Thank you.
All my homies love cory expect that texas judge
Cory has a great mindset towards fighting. I really hope he starts to speak more positively about himself cause the dude has the potential to be very popular with his style. He’s just gotta back himself so other people feel comfortable backing him too
Ty Corey, you helped us all out, we believe in you
Wow, good questions questions
At 1:00 into the second round there is a camera shot of Cory fainting and Chico clearly with a look of concern on his face, like he couldnt process where 🎉he could attack Cory safely. 😅😅😮
He reminds me so much of Dominic Cruz.
O'Malley vs Sandhagen for an interim belt!! Or #1 contender
Much respect to Cory. Well spoken intelligent fighter.
Corey vs merab next 👍
respect!
Anyone have the time stamps?
I'd Cory and Merab fight next and Cory wins, I think he deserves a title shot. We'll have to wait and see but if he continues to fight the way he did against Vera, he could definitely win the belt.
Dom Cruz vibes from the Sandman
Cory looks like the most normal looking guy until you see him in the octagon
