    It’s called “free will” to worship God. He allows us to choose him or not. To choose Love or not. That is why he gives us the opportunity for repentance and forgiveness to turn back to him. He loves all of us. God is sooo patient & merciful.

    • @johndalton1043
      @johndalton1043 Před 16 dny +11

      I'm not sure if I even believe in free will any longer. More and more I believe in choices. God has sworn unto Himself because there is no greater power that every knee will bow and tongue confess. This predetermined event (in 4 separate texts) does not involve any of mankind's free will.
      Read what Paul has to say about his own sin and you will see what I mean. Paul says he understands the law is right, but he does what he knows that he should not do. Because of this, Paul states it is not he who sins, but rather his sin nature handed down from Adam (Adamic sin). Paul also states ALL are confined to disobedience, so that God may have mercy on ALL. So I agree with you that God loves us ALL and that His mercy triumphs over judgment. Paul said where sin abounded grace abounded much more.
      What I feel like I'm left with are choices, and since Jesus, Paul, John the Baptist, etc, all taught repentance, belief, and that actions should follow repentance, my life as a Christian is spent in a cycle of repentance, then changing my lifestyle or mindset to match the desired correction. I still sin no matter how much I desire not to sin, just like Paul.
      More and more I think Paul got it right when he said "As in Adam all are dying, thus also in Christ shall all be made alive". Think about it, this is involuntary. Did you choose Adam as your personal condemner? Of course not. So how much free will do we truly have? Seems more like Paul is laying out the relational status between God and mankind. So I know it's splitting hairs, but I find more instances where I do not believe in free will, but rather choices...and those choices are limited and myopic at best because no one has free will as a child (no free will over parents, siblings, culture, race, gender, socio-economic status, cognitive ability) and all of these factors play a role in the proclivities we develop as adults.

    The story of Job is one i don’t think I’ll ever truly wrap my head around. While yes, Job ends up having more than what he had before, he still had to live with the “trauma” of what happened to him. From

      Well, actually that was terrible analogy about the wheat and the tares. Matt 13, tells us the meaning of the parable. The reason that there is still evil in the world it is simple, the whole world is full of sinners. God would have to destroy all human beings who don't belong to Him if He was to eradicate all evil from the world right now. The good news is that He will eradicate all evil from the world in His set time, meaning all sinners who have rejected Jesus Christ. Book of Revelation tells us all about that. At His second coming Jesus will separate His sheep from Satan's goats. Read Matthew 25. Only the true sheep of Jesus Christ will enter His earthly kingdom of which Revelation 20 tells us lasting 1000 years. Jesus is the only one who can separate the wheat from the tares, because, He knows which is which.

      I'm just gonna dump this here:
      You can design a remote-controlled robot and navigate it through a maze. The robot doesn't move unless you make it move. No free will there.
      You can also design a robot to decide for itself where to go under which circumstances. Once you turn it on, it moves on its own. You're not directly controlling it anymore.
      BUT: you created it and its decision making process, AND you created the maze it's going to navigate. You'll still be able to tell in advance exactly what it's going to do, and you're still responsible for the outcome.

Jesus wiped out sin AND death by asking that the deliverers of the most incredible painful undeserved suffering not be held accountable.
    The man on the cross next to him called Him Lord and asked to be remembered in His Kingdom and Jesus took that as the man believing in Him, telling Him He would be with Him in paradise! There was not any complicated confession or sinners prayer.

      Your question is a good one..ive asked this too. All I can conclude : God's law. His universe , His rules. As creations of God, we belong to Him ultimately and exist under His authority. We are given a choice to exist in God's universe of creation. We make the choice by our free will. You can live in it by the conditions of the rules..or you can choose not and be sent to a place outside creation and apart from God...
      God commands all men , His creation, to repent and return to Him and has even provided a way to do it through Jesus.
      It might seem like it's a forced thing, but it's not. God doesn't willingly send men to hell. That's a consequence of choice made by man.
      Your sins , crimes against Gods law, already condem you to hell. God , as the perfect and just judge, cannot go against His own established word / law and must follow through with sentence for sin...which is death and locked in the prison of hell forever separated from God ,life and creation.. Salvation through Jesus saves you from that condemnation. Jesus, your lawyer in God's courtroom, pleads your case before the perfect Judge/God. Because God loves us so much, He gave Jesus , His only begotten Son, as a sacrifice so that we might be spared this sentence and be saved from the consequences of our sin. To do this, Jesus steps into our place, takes the blame of our sins onto Himself and suffers the death penalty/ sentence in our place and was separated from God on the cross when God turned His back and Jesus cried : father why have you foresaken me?
      That was meant for us to endure.
      For there is no greater love than one who would lay their life down to save a friend. That is Jesus.
      The work / payment for our sins is final and finished to satisfy the requirements of the judgement upon us. Through Jesus sacrifice ,we are saved and redeemed back to God as God commands. Upon completing this work for us, Jesus picked his life back up and rose from death and returned to the father, which shows us that we will also be resurrected from physical death through Jesus and redeemed back to God. It is a free gift from God by His grace..we only have a choice to accept or reject it. The cup of life is free to any who would take it so that they might be saved.
      All who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
      We are saved sinners through Jesus by God's grace . You will not be instantly perfect but you will be saved and nothing can take that gift from you once you receive it with a sincere heart of repentance and asking forgiveness. It is sealed forever and nothing, especially your sins , can remove you from Jesus's grasp. It is a faith and belief in what Jesus has done and promised for you. What you do with your salvation through Jesus is still a choice of freewill and will be judged accordingly in the end on the day of final judgement when all men are judged for their works in sin or salvation.
      Choose wisely.
      God bless.

When He opens a door no one can close it and when He shuts a door no one can open it. He’s the potter, remember. We are the clay. He has mercy on whom He wants. The fall of Lucifer was caused by a manufacturing issue associated with the fact that either Lucifer was first angel created or one of the first. So when Lucifer became conscious all he saw was the CREATOR and himself which would then later make him doubt the fact that the CREATOR had created him.
    The other problem with Lucifer was how he was created in that his skin was covered in something like jewels that reflected the light from the glory of the CREATOR. Lucifer means "the bearer of GOD's light." This fact made Lucifer believe that the light appearing on his skin was not a reflection but was actually emanating out of him and that's what caused him to believe that one day he would evolve into a being like the CREATOR.
    Lucifer then convinced a third of the angels of this lie and they rebelled. But really they were like AI machines gone bad.
    But everyone has to understand that without Lucifer's rebellion Adam and this universe would never have been created. None of us woukd exist. So yes the CREATOR knew what would happen before it happened and HE saw a new Heaven and new Earth filled with people who would carry HIS image and the population of those people would grow forever.
    Before the rebellion of Lucifer the CREATOR had only one Child but because of that rebellion the CREATOR would have a family that would grow forever!😀
    So as the Bible says, "all things work for good for those who love the LORD and are called according to HIS Purpose!" Amen
    But that's a good question that I also asked GOD some years ago and the above explanation is what was explained to me.😀

      In the theology of Moses and the Prophets...then the lessons of Yeshua, the adversary/deceiver/serpent/Lucifer is now the "ruler of this world". That being the world or universe East of Eden. On the mountain the evil one offered Jesus all the world and nations. That would be ridiculous offer to the God-Man or the Son of Man if Lucifer didn't have celestial title to this post Eden world.
      In doing so Lucifer is now locked into time as were the children of Adam and all the things of heaven and earth creation. Therefore Lucifer can't see the future.
      The Father however is atemporal. I Am. Outside of time an observer can see all of time and space in one singularity. Even Einstein said that.
      So you and Lucifer are in time together as Adam made the choice to enjoy the life offered by the serpent instead of following the rules of the Garden Paradise. Adam, The Woman and The Serpent were all standing there when The Creator dropped in to ask questions. Like a parent who knows full well what happened...questions are to discover the character of those questioned.

      @@belovedflorence4109 I am just wondering what all Job's dead family members have to say about this game that God and Satan played with Job to "glorify" God. The "wonderous" book of Job is soooo SICK on so many levels when a person looks at it rationally and logically without cherry picking, rose coloured and cognitive dissonant spectacles on! This "God" used Satan as his pawn to kill women, animals and children to prove what a "glorious" and "wonderful" God he is? WTF?! This God is such a coward in the book Of Job, to the point that he does not even have the backbone to perform the despicable and filthy task himself of killing animals, women and children?!
      Representatives of the most despicable and evil man-made being that has ever been imagined into existence, the delusional followers of the Abrahamic religion Death Cults, wants to save the world from 'perversions'. How utterly Ironic, hypocrisy, sadism, masochism, arrogance, bigotry and hypocrisy in its vilest and most sinister form, how absolutely Disgusting!
      For any Christian to defend the goodness of the story of Job is proof enough that there is no such thing as Christian morality.
      Anyone who has been in an abusive family can recognize the excuses that the enabling victim uses to preserve the family dynamic and excuse their abuser.
      You might need some serious mental help, making excuses for torture, murder and sadistic and psychopathic behaviour, are you serious right now? Job is just one example, how about your god hardening the heart of Pharaoh so that he can flex his "holy" god muscles like a high school teenager showing off? Killing and torturing a nation because he decided time and again to harden the heart of their king? According to your own beiiefs God and Jesus is one and the same character, with the same characteristics, so how is a shapeshifting entity any different than the shape he shifted from? Is torture and murder always wrong or not?
      Even as a kid, when they would bring up the story of Job, I would always think about how God "gave everything back twofold" and I thought, "Yeah but, his first family is still dead? God killed his family on a bet?" Ridiculous. If the God of the bible exists, he's a monster.
      It's pretty telling how many people like you can gloss over that part.
      It makes sense if God is a psychopath, he would be unable to understand why a new family to replace the dead family isn't just fine and why its not okay to torture Job (physically and mentally) since he gave him even more goodies at the end. The God of the bible is obviously not tri-omni nor all good and all loving or even just. Luckily he is imaginary so no need to worry.
      Of course, in the Bible, women and children were just a man's property. And if your property is destroyed, then the solution is to get new property to replace it. No problem, right? It's not as though women and children are PEOPLE with lives of their own.
      But as a man, I can't even imagine how another man could accept that. OK, some men want to trade up to a younger, hotter wife, I suppose. At least, that's the movie version of men. But your kids? Are they also replaceable like that? I don't get it.
      Moreover, as a man, I cannot even begin to comprehend how any rational, moral and intelligent Woman can just deem this to be acceptable and not be able to even judge this completely psychotic behaviour of this God as completely deranged and evil.
      The worry is that people read this story and still believe their God is not only perfectly good, but the source of all morality, to the point that good and evil are defined as what their God does or does not want. What a sick and twisted moral foundation!

    • @Jammaster1972
      @Jammaster1972 Před 16 dny

      @@Inner.divinity If you have been deceived by the serpent (aka Satan), then you believe you posses inner divinity (as easily explained by Genesis 3:5 "For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”) We were baited into rebellion by the serpent, for which God promised death would occur. We had one simple command to follow which God directly communicated with his children; we being responsible for this decision because a loving God provides free will, not forced worship and servitude. God created Hell for Satan and the fallen Angels as punishment for their celestial rebellion. Prophecy began in Genesis 3:14 "So the Lord God said to the serpent:
      'Because you have done this,
      You are cursed more than all cattle,
      And more than every beast of the field;
      On your belly you shall go,
      And you shall eat dust
      All the days of your life.
      15 And I will put enmity
      Between you and the woman,
      And between your seed and her Seed;
      He shall bruise your head,
      And you shall bruise His heel.'”
      Though God created Hell for the Angels, all who are of the seed of rebellion (aka "your seed" the serpent's seed) will follow him there. Those who are of the seed of a woman, that person being the one who will bruise the head of the serpent with his heel, but he himself will be bruised in the process, those who follow this seed will find redemption and eternal life.
      It's a biological fact, woman do not bear seed. Hence, God himself was that seed, as spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel (which means God with us)." And later in Isaiah 53:4-6, "Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows;
      Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
      Smitten by God, and afflicted.
      But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all."
      Lastly, God is not invisible or mysterious as spoken of in Romans 1,
      "18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like [h]corruptible man-and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things."
      I hope this helps answer your questions.

      @@Inner.divinity If you love your child, would you place him / her in the best environment for eternal life? Yes, you would. And Scriptures say in Matthew 7:11, "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven..." So, God definitely places all His children in the best environment for them to get the greatest gift ever -- eternal life.
      And we know from Adam's experience, that the best environment for this is not necessarily the perfect one that Adam was created into, and where he could fellowship daily and without mystery with God, because even there, Adam still found a way to choose sin and death and not choose eternal life.
      So, perhaps, God knows better than you what environment and situations are best for His children to choose and have eternal life.

    Just like us. God wants to be loved for who he is, and he is pure love, life, light and goodness. He gives each of us in His creation a choice to do that and be with him for eternity. When we choose to not choose him or love him for eternity, he does not force us, then for eternity those that reject him are rejecting love, light, goodness and life. That means an eternity in hatred, darkness, evil and death. Being separated from God for eternity is the worst thing about hell, and knowing you had a choice to not be there.

    Easy answer. God doesn't want robots following him. He wants us to choose Him over evil. We have a choice. He's not gonna manipulate things where only his followers exist. We see good and evil now......and we can choose to live or die by the consequences of evil.

    Hod has given us a wonderful gift. The power of choice. He doesn’t force us to choose. He gave Adam and Eve a choice, the prodigal son, Jonah, Job, Samson. David with Bathsheba, Judas. Even Jesus was faced with choice, but He chose to die on the crisis anyways. Lucifer and a third of the angels exercised their choice. He had laid before us 2 paths, and we choose! Everything in life is a choice, God’s way or ours!! He will not force us to choose that which is right, but we have to pay a price when we choose wrong! I choose Jesus!!

    When he speaks of the parable of the wheat and tares around @4:37, I am reminded of when Abraham asks God many times that "if there was such and such many people in the city, would You destroy it?" God, every time Abraham lowers the number, says "no, I will not destroy it for the sake of the righteous". (Genesis 18:16-33) Scripture is clear in it's words (and even clearer with this verse being at the end of Genesis {while at the beginning is the fall}), "But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive." Genesis 50:20. Also, "God has committed us all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all." Romans 11:32. God wants us to lean on/trust in/have faith in Christ our Righteousness, who is the expressed image of God, the Lord from Heaven, who will live among the saints on the new Earth in new Jerusalem. God spoke it, and He cannot go against His Word; He cannot deny Himself. Therefore His will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven, Amen.
    I believe the whole point of allowing evil is to show that there is no one good/perfect/holy but God, and to trust in Him alone above ALL else. For "He puts no trust in His servants, even charging His angels with error" (Job 4:17-21)
    But a more straight-up answer is in Romans 9;
    "But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, “In Isaac your seed shall be called.” That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed. For this is the word of promise: “At this time I will come and Sarah shall have a son.”
    And not only this, but when Rebecca also had conceived by one man, even by our father Isaac (for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls), it was said to her, “The older shall serve the younger.” As it is written, “Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated.”
    What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not! For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.” So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.” Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens.
    You will say to me then, “Why does He still find fault? For who has resisted His will?” But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, “Why have you made me like this?” Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?
    What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory, even us whom He called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
    As He says also in Hosea:
    “I will call them My people, who were not My people,
    And her beloved, who was not beloved.”
    “And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them,
    ‘You are not My people,’
    There they shall be called sons of the living God.”
    Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel:
    “Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea,
    The remnant will be saved.
    For He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness,
    Because the Lord will make a short work upon the earth.”
    And as Isaiah said before:
    “Unless the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed,
    We would have become like Sodom,
    And we would have been made like Gomorrah.”
    What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness of faith; but Israel, pursuing the law of righteousness, has not attained to the law of righteousness. Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as it were, by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone. As it is written:
    “Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense,
    And whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”"
    Romans 9:6-33 NKJV
