Yes, of course God not only knew Lucifer would rebel against him, he planned it from before creation. Satan does not have free will (neither do we), because it is all God’s will. That story about the fall of Lucifer is not out of the Bible. It comes from ancient Hebrew mythology. If you look at the Bible, in the earliest writings of God you will find that God brought both good and evil. It wasn't until the Hebrews were taken from the Babylonian Captivity by the Persian Empire that the idea of a good god (Yahweh) and an evil god (ha Shatan or Satan or Lucifer) came into the Bible. This was adopted from the Persian religion of Ahura Mazda (good god) and evil god (Angra Mainyu).

To ask didn't God know Lucifer "would turn evil?" implies that the 'time' required 'to turn' from one state to another exists in God's eternal "I am" spiritual domain, which does not exist! The problem is, from our material 'dimension in time' perspective, we can not perceive God's timeless spiritual domain, in which, what is, has always been, and will forever be as it is! So even though it is beyond our understanding, just as God always is eternal righteous truth, with no beginning or end, so Lucifer is eternal evil non-truth, with no beginning or end!

This guy seems to be a bit boxy in his explanations. I would take it a step further and say that God ordained Lucifer to be who he is, and he ordained Adam to fall in the garden.

This is where I find it hard to believe in Christianity. If god knowingly creates you with flaws and built you the way you are. And then punishes you for being the way you are isn't that hypocrisy? This is the very worst answer I've ever heard in my life concerning this subject. Does God know everything in advance? I noticed he didn't back up his answer with virtually any scriptures? Just a lot of speculation and hyperbole. Let's go to the word of God itself and see if we can find the correct answer. We all know the story of Abraham and Isaac in Genesis 22. Here we have Abraham taking his son Isaac who was likely a teenager by now, up to Mount Moriah. He's got the knife up in the air and he's ready to kill his son and sacrifice him and it's an angel that would stop him at the last possible second. Here is the passage: "and he said, do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him for NOW I KNOW that you fear God since you have not withheld your son, your only son from me." Genesis 22:12 We can see from the statement that God did not know in advance that Abraham had 100% faith in him. Here is another example from the book of Jeremiah in chapter 19 we have an example of the tribe of Judah following the Pagan Nations around them and they started to sacrifice their children to Ba'al. This is a terrible answer. From god’s perspective we don’t have free will because he’s all knowing. From our perspective free will is an illusion BECAUSE he’s all knowing. So it doesn’t matter what universe or being he chooses to create, free will is still an illusion. But god chose to create a universe with suffering for his creation.

Jesus knew who would betray him but it had to happen so that believers could be saved from eternal damnation. Also, Psalm 23 explains that to everything there is a purpose. Free will / choice - we are not robots.
