#China lifted nearly 100 million people out of absolute poverty, 10 years ahead of the schedule set by the UN 2030 Agenda. Now the mission is to guarantee no massive return to poverty. How can China make it? And can China's anti-poverty experiences be copied elsewhere in the world? In CGTN's "China Talk," Li Xin, deputy director-general of the International Poverty Reduction Center in China, shares her views. #2023TwoSessions

The government is evolving, learning democracy while improving lives for the masses, controlling wealth, less income gap...

Wow China! Congratulations on your achievement of lifting many poor people from poverty. This was one of the reasons why our former President Rodrigo Duterte sought closer ties with your country. What you have done is worth emulating. I hope their is a way for people like me in the Philippines to be able to reach out to the IPRCC even though I don’t work for the government. We need your assistance in maximizing our agricultural production. I hope that this will be read by your leadership in the IPRCC and contact me personally. Thank you for all that you have done and keep up the good work!

Each country has its own merits and resources. China learned from Singapore. Lost its way building economy. Learned to appreciate its own history...

China has doing so many things right. They have a compassionate, visionary, and strong leader who directs central and long-term planning, a motivated grassroots, a unified population, a comprehensive yet flexible approach, and investments in education, infrastructures and health not driven by short-term profit are all important keys to China's success. You've worked hard China.🥰

China had abject poverty like many underdeveloped countries in the world. With goals set by government, region by region, people now have basic needs fulfilled by helping themselves. This gives community hope, confidence and will to improve their lives from one generation to the next. Note. China still a developing country with dreams for their future in their own hands.

China is the developed country now. But they don't call themselves developed country. (Underdogs). They are also richest country in the world with respect to purchasing power. They are wayyyyyyy better than US in many spheres of life.

Yup, 'remove' people from poverty by just defining poverty at a lower value, genius.
3:14 Safe drinking water? Name one place in the PRC where you can drink out of the tap.
Speaking of compulsory education, when will the CCP enact 12 years of compulsory education, as opposed to only the 9 years they currently do?
4:05 Ok, so the CCP made a database of poor people, that doesn't prove anything was done to help them.
She says over 400k people were affected by the flood, but only 1 house is shown to be built. It's also never stated that the farmer was poor, so he may have had the money to build the house himself.
6:50 It's sad she gave more details about actions taken in other countries, but said nothing of value about what has happened in the PRC.
Maybe I missed something, what did she say the CCP actually did to alleviate poverty? To 'lift' people out of poverty?
