  • This is a break down of the most basic lighting for bricks. 3-point lighting. Perhaps later I will do another, more advanced lighting setup.

    @JimA73 advice: Don't use LED. They pulse. And camera shutters will not be consistant. Instead go with Icandescent or halligan bulbs. Some florescents are fine too. LED=BAD. thanks for bring it up though.

    @beeniestudios it could be auto white balance or auto AE. Make sure everything is set to manual on the camera. See if that fixes it.

    Hey man, what i used is flexible USB L.E.D. lights connected to a USB strip hub. the light is a lot smoother plus they are only £0.99 each on ebay, or even cheaper if u can get them in asia

    hey... could you tell me how to fix this problem i have... sometimes during filming, the lighting (when i look through camera view) goes a bright yellow and orange color, and then i have a lot of light flicker. do you know how to fix all this?

  • @DougVandegrift
    @DougVandegrift  Před 14 lety

    @csavoy1 haha yes, but that's a bad habit to get into. "fixing it in post" is one of the worst and most expensive way to solve issues. Plus I haven't got into After Effects which is too expensive for most people and requires advanced computer knowledge.

  • @tardiskeeper6
    @tardiskeeper6 Před 10 lety

    When I film with lights like this I get severe flickering where either my shadow is projected onto the set/subject or the flicker rate of the lamp is an issue. It ruined everything I filmed. I stopped using the lights and it fixed most of the problem but I cannot control the lighting at all, just use room light. This puts me off animating

    • @iTracti0n
      @iTracti0n Před 10 lety

      The problem with room light is that it'll change while you animate so you'll have severe light flickers which are terrible. And how about you use a remote from a distance so your shadow won't hover over the set.

    • @tardiskeeper6
      @tardiskeeper6 Před 10 lety

      I tried using localized lights and the effect was worse. I also can't remote control the camera as it's a compact not a DSLR

    • @iTracti0n
      @iTracti0n Před 10 lety

      David G Have you checked your camera settings? Set them all to manual.

    • @FuzzBallProductions191
      @FuzzBallProductions191 Před 9 lety

      Try using room light + lamps.
      This work well for me as I make my brickfilms in my room and use what I have said above.
      If you want to know any more about message me via CZcams.
      Hope I helped!
