OH MY GOODNESS!! Matt brought luck to the chickens! The mouse didn’t make it this time. We have been waiting FOREVER for that mouse to become a meal for those chickens! Matt’s the good luck charm!! Yay!! Really happy to see Matt learning by helping Grandpa feed and take care of the animals. I knew there were three sons so I’m very happy to meet Matt. Thank you all. Grandma and Grandpa have chosen exactly the most exciting additions with Riley and Revel and the inclusion of Matt. I'm retired and miss having lots of people around. Also, miss Smokey. Love Adler. He's one smart young man . My last puppy was just short of 20 years old when she had to leave. Can't take care of a new one; so, i appreciate your sharing with me and everyone. Thanks again!

Matt is certainly a Doss boy. With his sense of humour & his looks, it's easy to tell you are all related. Revel & Riley are so adorale & beautiful pups. I can't believe the chickens caught the mouse after he made a run for it! I did not see him run but heard Matt say he did. So, that's one less mouse in the world! Yes, you all have been trying to catch him for quite awhile. This was a good Doss family video!

Yay, Matt is back! I don't like to give unsolicited advice, but my husband trained Labs for retriever competition for many years. You are right, teaching "Recall" is vital, particularly for dogs that will be working in large open areas. Our dogs learned to immediately come to verbal command and to a recall whistle when they were further out. And I agree with Matt, Batman is extra cool. 😊

Ralph it is a good idea for the pups to go outside the pen to move around with you and LeAnn. it will make it easier on them when it comes to vet visits because they are used to being away from the goats for short periods of time.

The pups are darling and it is fun watching them play. Carry trears with you for training the pups...they will listen better. What I did to train pups to come to me was start out in a small space, like their pen and call their name and give them a treat when they come to you. You might use hot dogs cut up into very tiny pieces. I used hot dogs, chicken or cooked bacon when I was training my pup more difficult things. My dog loved goose poop. Tell Matt to watch his fingers when he gets the eggs as snakes loves eggs too. 😂 especially the eggs in the goat house...
Matt has a nice calm, soothing voice. Leash training will help down the road for vet visits and such. Command training will help when you want to take them out and back up like you mentioned. They are so adorable🥰🥰

Grandpa, if you have some cardboard lying about you can put it inside the perimeter of the crate to keep the shavings in, or if the box is big enough just put the whole thing inside the crate.
