Being a Canadian myself , you almost had it correct it's the Royal Canadian Mounted Police , or RCMP for short. Prays to that family. Loved seeing Matt and I laughed so hard at this video..haha. I always like how your boys will actually say I love you and hug you. The men I know don't do that sort of thing , it's usually a back at ya , or ditto. It's refreshing seeing the love the Doss family have for each other and how they show it.

My SIL was from Scotland, her brothers wore kilts in CA. They ALWAYS had underwear on beneath their kilts.
@Linda Maskus my uncles in law were Scottish, and they always went to the annual Kennedy Scotland highland games in Scotland and wore kilts in the Kennedy kilts. My girl cousins and I would ask them what they wore underneath the kilts. They would turn red and would say they would never show or tell us. Only that they went historically authentic.

Preying and sending strength for the young lady grandpa mentioned my dad to has vascular dementia I know your suffering my dad has just started to forget special events we shared but as a nurse I know what is comming around the corner and my heart not only breaks for you but all families around the world that this horrid disease effects, I hope you read this message and know you are not alone xx

I will say for our family for once we were blessed our mother had dementia. She was easy to handle, very gentle and loving, just went along, so when we found out in a emergency admittance that she had stage four colon cancer, she was put into hospice a week later. She never realized what she was going through. We loved her, we prayed with her, talked with her. She would sometimes say oh my stomach hurts I think I need to take a Tylenol. So she never had this fear of knowing her time on this earth was almost gone. It was hard on us but not her. As she got closer to the end she did like reach to the sky and say mom, dad I can’t get there yet. So God was letting her know he was calling her home. God bless to all people that have dementia because it can be a terrible disease.

My Mom just passed away in January and had dementia. She had been in a nursing home for a couple of years. When she was still in her home, she kept trying to go out of the house. This happened on quite a few occasions. When I asked where she was headed, she said up the street to see her neighbors. At this point , I think they had also passed on.
My brother had to install a wifi deadbolt that if anyone forgot to relock it, it would do it for you, and you could check the status on your phone.
My maternal grandmother had dementia.
My Dad had dementia.
My Dad's brother had dementia.
My paternal grandmother had dementia.
My paternal grandmother's 2 brothers had dementia.
It is a very evil disease and very unforgiving. They proceed to not know you, but you don't have that option...

I have also seen a lot of patients that have reached out to love ones when the end is close and I always took peace from knowing that someone was there to meet them on that final journey xx love to you and your family xx

I had fun with my hens today. What a blessing. Pulled up weeds and helped them get worms. Hand fed them apples, bananas and sunflower seeds. Loved it. Thank you for the inspiration.
